3,3 stars This was much better than the first, but not quite there yet... Harry had an accident, he got his face burned and with scars. He met Jade, Ruby's friend from the ballet, to teach him sign language, as he lost his ability to hear well in the accident. He's too revolted, so he isolated himself, not letting anybody in. He's a famous DJ, though... A lot of struggling, sweet moments, but... I don't think Lindsay writing was enough maturity, don't know how to explain, but always missing something... Can't put my finger in what, the potential is there. The plot also, but... Just one thing I'm sorry for not knowing... Sergei and Max?!? I'm so glad they're having a book for themselves
Let me start off by saying this story can be read all on its own. BUT, you will have already meet this family if you at least read Poppy’s story. (Which is an awesome one!) Poppy is Harry’s sister.
This one brings forth all sorts of emotions.... Harry believes he is darkness. He also believes Jade is light and she’s too good for him. She doesn’t agree. In fact, Jade believes in soulmates and believes he’s hers. So why does he keep pushing her away?? She can only take so much rejection from him. Two years later there roads cross again. They start with friendship and with her teaching him sign language. Harry isn’t stupid though. Harry has finally decided to grab ahold of what he wants. He wants Jade.
This one does have a happily ever after! I HIGHLY recommend you read this one!
Want Everything is Harrison and Jade's story, and it's one you won't soon forget. Something catastrophic happens to Harry when he is 16 and it changes him, fills him with self loathing, and a lot of guilt. He's in a very dark place, and sees himself as all dark...then he meets Jade, she is a friend of Ruby's and was asked to help Harry, well he doesn't take to well to that, but there is instant chemistry between them. He doesn't believe there is anything to like about him, so when Jade shows interest he keeps pushing her away..yet he can't get her out of his head...fast forward 2 years and Harry and Jade's worlds collide when they see each other again and this time Harry has no plans to push Jade away, as a matter o' fact he slowly lets her in, and shows her the Harry he used to be...and that is all I'm gonna say about this book other than Lindsay hit a grand slam with this book and I've been able to think of nothing else since I finished, so do yourself a favor and read this AWEMAZING story!!! You will love it as much as I did!!
This book was so deep and evoked every emotion in me. It was about two broken people trying to become whole again. Pushing each other out of their comfort zone,so that they can not only learn to love them-self but accept being loved by another.
Watching Harry go through his many ups and downs and trying hard to overcome some colossal obstacles, was both heart wrenching and heartwarming. Then watching Jade in all of her epic fierceness was a sight to behold! She’s strong and can push just as hard as Harry does, and she never backs down. These two have so many layers and I was enamoured with all of them.
The words just poured off the pages and into my heart and soul. I love being in the worlds that Lindsay creates. The King family novels keep getting better, bring on Ruby!
Harrison King is lost in his dark world after horrible accident, and a family who wanted nothing more then to help him heal and show him that he was still the same amazing man they new him to be. Jade Archer a dance who had always danced to the beat and rhythm of the music, has been broken in her past, but never let's that keep her down. When one night which was supposed to be a ray of hope, turn out to be the complete opposite, what do you do then? Picking up the pieces Jade moves forward, till Harrison shows up begging for forgiveness and help. Will she be forgiving? Will her light shine bright enough for them? Or will the darkness take over?
This is my first LB book and it won't be my last. This is a standalone but book 2 in the interconnected series. Harrison has gone through a traumatic event that has changed his life. He went from happy, full of life to darkness. He is not feeling like himself, and he doesn't know if he could get back there. Living only when he is Dj'ing. That makes him feel "normal" again. But since the accident, he has been losing his hearing. He is dying on the inside. Until a girl is brought into his life to help, but he pushes away. But, while he pushes her away, he can't forget her. Years pass, and he needs her.
Jade is a dancer who has overcome her challenges. I really liked her character. She really dealt with alot growing up but did whatever she could to be happy in life. Once she meets Harrison, she knows he's the one. These two will tug at your hearts. They have been through so much and needed each other. I loved the family dynamic of the King Family. I'm very curious of the sister's story. You know with the last interactions its going to involve drama! Looking forward to her HEA!
MY RATING: 4* TITLE: Want Everything AUTHOR: Lindsay Becs SERIES: King Family Novel #2 RELEASE DATE: 5 June 2020 CLIFFHANGER: No
ARC was kindly provided for an honest review
Really good read, tucking serious issues of physical appearance and celebrating beauty in the disabled. I really enjoyed it, although it was a bit too sweet for my liking. I like dirty grimy books. Nothing personal against this book. Its just a personal preference.
So lemme start this off with Harry was different. But it was a welcomed different. I really enjoyed his story and reading what happened to make him the person he was when we see him at the beginning of his book.. To see him transform for the better thru the book was awesome for him and Jade. But now i have so many questions for the last and final King Family sibling, Ruby! Her appearance in this book left us with so much questions with whats going on.
Darkness & light will be lighting up your pages. Harry is in a deep cloud of darkness in his life. Jade is a ray of sunshine to his dark clouds. Both gravitate towards the other like a moth to a flame. One common ground brings the pair a bond they never saw coming .
Lindsay gets me EVERY DAMN TIME! I don't know how she does it, but I think her writing evolves more and more with every book. Want Everything was a lot different than the others, although this whole series is a tad different I think. But, different in so many good ways!
One of my favorite things about Linday's writing is it's depth. There is this something about it that almost makes her books feel more profound. And let me tell you, Harry's book needed that. When we are reintroduced to him at the beginning there were so many things going on. We didn't know the full story of what happened, but we knew there was a lot. The way she wrote him and his life, you felt what he did. But not just felt it, you felt it deep in your bones. Like you were one with the words and experiencing everything through his and Jade's eyes. And Jade, wow this woman. I loved how Lindsay developed her character. These two were the perfect couple! I really loved Lindsay's use of light and dark for them, because it was unbelievable apt.
The amount of darkness, sexiness and hope, absolute hope, in this book was astounding. She wrote about some very sensitive topics and did so in prolific ways. Everyone has a struggle, but the struggle that Harry had is so hard. And then of course Jade has her own, different struggles, and it was just so perfectly written. And holy crap the chemistry!! These two were so explosive! I LOVED that about them! I think this book had more heat than the others, and it was just so perfect for Harry and Jade.
Now, I am even MORE curious about Ruby and what comes next with the King family. There was so much growth in this book, but know there's so much more to come with Ruby. Ruby is going to need her own healing and I can't wait to see what Lindsay decides to do with her story!
I really loved this book! Lindsay definitely brought her game and seemingly stepped out of her comfort zone to write Harrison and Jade's story. I simply loved the characters. Harrison, aka Harry, aka Frankie, is so good in so many ways! He is a young man struggling with a severe life change. What do you do with yourself when you can't even stand to look in the mirror? Harrison's struggle is heartbreaking and complex. He is young and smart and talented. He has an extremely successful family who loves and only wants to see him happy again. Harry is angry and doesn't have room for anything but that anger and self hatered. In walks Jade, a young dancer who is supposed to help Harry when he is at his lowest. Harry wants no part of it and pushes her away. There is a 2 year gap before they meet again. Jade has advanced in her dancing career and is still energetic and fun and kind. She has always seen the beauty in Harry and has always wanted to stand by his side and help him see it too. Harry cannot deny his attraction, his draw to Jade and seeks her help, which she kindly agrees to. Their intense attraction and shared disability take them deep into a love that seems to heal open wounds they both have. Jade is unbelievably supportive and understanding and loves Harry in all his forms. This book really shows readers that love can heal and love can save. I couldn't put this book down and I applaud Lindsay because she really did her homework and made this a story you can live and breath. So many special and sweet moments will keep you smiling throughout.
Want Everything is the unforgettable, un-put-downable love story between Harrison King and Jade Archer! He's the former bad-boy son of the King family who's sidelined by a horrific accident that changed his life in a split-second and she's the beautiful, almost shy, graceful dancer who captivated audiences (and Harry) who sees him for exactly who he is (or COULD be!)
First off, I fell totally in love with Jade! She's sweet, funny and knows who she is, where she wants to go and how to get there! Underneath all that sweetness she's made of steel....and she has to be to deal with all the baggage that comes along with one Harrison King! When Jade is asked to "help" Harry to try to overcome his issues, the ensuing angst and emotion had my heart hurting and my eyes tearing up when he finally started to let her in! The contrast between his darkness and self-loathing and her light and joy is startling, to say the least!
The journey to Harry and Jade's HEA is twisted and filled with road blocks but Ms. Becs did an amazing job of taking the reader through it all....and I LOVED every single thing about this angsty, steamy coming of age love story I can't recommend highly enough! A MUST READ, for sure!
Harrison and Jade's story blew me away!! Harry's been through a lot after a tragic accident that has left him in a very dark place. Jade has been through a lot in her life and she's fought to make life better.
When they first meet things don't go well eventhough there's amazing chemistry. Harry's not open to letting anyone in. Their paths cross a couple years later and Harry's determined to hang onto Jade this time.
This story is filled with such raw emotion and my feelings were all over the place. The characters are amazing. Watching one full of darkness be pulled back into the light and all that these two go through broke my heart and then made me smile. This series keeps getting better!! It's a phenomenal read and I highly recommend it to everyone who loves a heartwarming story!!
I hope this is not your first foray into Lindsay's books. If it is, I highly recommend you start with the Always series, as you'll appreciate this book that much more. It's good regardless.
Harry is a complex character. Once gregarious and outgoing, a tragic accident leaves him a mere shell of himself. Hiding in the shadows and full of self loathing, he spurns his family's efforts to love him. Unwilling to see beyond his pain, he pushes Jade off in a moment of anger. Jade is a friend of his sister, and is deaf.
Years later, the two meet again. Both are in a different place in life. I love how both characters have darkness, yet Jade focuses on the light. She is the perfect balance to Harry's tendency towards the dark. Their journey is not simple. They have so much to work through. But the feeling, is intense and beautiful. A wonderful story of how to perfectly imperfect people find happiness despite all odds.
I read an Advanced Copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.
This book. Made me want everything.Made me feel everything. This book is everything.
If you've read Hate Nothing by Lindsay, you would have already met Harrison. He is Poppy's brother, and one of my favorite characters I have read in a long time.
Once a handsom young man, his life is changed as is his apperance in a terrible accident. Harrison becomes withdrawn, angry and rightfully so. He feels like he is a monster in his own skin, and he is losing his hearing.
Then Jade comes along. Beautiful Jade. Jade dances with Ruby, Harrison's younger sister. Jade is deaf. His parents have Ruby invite Jade over to try to help Harrison want to learn ASL. That did not go over well.
Although things didn't go as planned, their love will ignite all your feelings. Harrison has to get over his own perception of himself, and allow himself to live instead of just exist. Jade is the answer to all of that and more.
This gave me so many feels especially for Harry. You can literally feel his pain throughout the entire book and it makes you hurt inside and just want to help him. Jade is literally meant for him and meant to be the person to help him truly heal I believe. The way that they are together and that they connect is what HEA's look like. They both have their struggles, but together they can fight and battle it all. I can't wait for the next book in this series which is Ruby's story!
What are those sayings about "there is no light without darkness or darkness is the absence of light"? Well in this case it was nice to see the darkness inside Harry become manageable with the light of his Sunshine. There is so much pain and regret within the pages of this novel, but with self forgiveness and love, everything falls into place. I am really enjoying this series.
Want Everything is the story of Harrison King, brother of Poppy whom we met in Hate Nothing. While Royal King Racing in motorcycles, Harrison is more into the illegal street races until a tragic accident left him feeling like a monster. He has severe scarring and hearing loss, but has still made a career out of being a DJ. Jade is a dancer at the same company as his sister Ruby. He's met her previously in an ambush by his family to help him lesrn ASL. He sees her again at a recital for his cousin and he wants to get to know her. This story shows two characters who strive to thrive despite their disabilities. It shows the emotional toll all of the family dealt with after the accident. It definitely grabs your attention and tugs at your heart strings!
WOW! Like I expected Lindsay didn’t disappoint! The struggles from Harrison are so real that I swear I could feel them as if they were my own! Same for Jade! I absolutely LOVE these two and their story! So many feels, ups and downs, back and forths, and highs and lows but it was all worth it in the end! All that Harrison overcomes and conquers throughout is perfectly written. She ALWAYS leave you craving more more more! Seriously don’t know what I will do when the series finally ends but I know one thing, I will definitely have to go buy more Kleenex! Can’t wait now to read Ruby’s story! I think there are some others I would be more than happy to have a story about at some point also 😉 (hint hint) If you haven’t yet start from the very beginning with Always and work your way through them! Trust me, it makes everything that much better! And yes, once again I started a story at like midnight cause I just couldn’t sleep knowing it was there waiting for me to read it and now it’s 4 AM and I can fall asleep dreaming about this amazing story!
This book was absolutely amazing! Deep. Emotional. Beautiful. Everything the soul could WANT!! I love stories where the characters are healing themselves as much as they are each other. It creates the the perfect story that tugs at your heartstrings. Lindsay did an amazing job of bringing Harry and Jade’s story to life! The emotional and raw detail makes you feel like you are there living and growing with them. I loved every minute and can’t recommend it enough!
And she does it again! Lindsay Becs knows how to write a story. The story of Harrison and Jade is just beautiful. Watching Harrison come back to life not for Jade but because he could finally see what she saw in him was poignant.
I loved getting to visit with the family and seeing how they are all doing beyond their stories. I think the thing I like most about this book and all of Lindsay’s writing is the importance of family, it is a common theme throughout all of her books, it’s done well and not sugary sweet, but honest and sometimes raw.
When all is said and done, Lindsay Becs knows how to write a great story, with drama, laughter and plenty of steam.

Emotionally heartbreaking while still being able to make you smile. Harrison and Jade are absolutely perfect together. She brings him out of the darkness he's living in and shows him the meaning of unconditional love. It's a story of healing, forgiveness, and learning to love yourself. I could not put it down and can't wait to read more of the King family.
Omg this book is one emotional rollercoaster. It will have you in tears one minute and Happy the next. Jade and Harry are the cutest couple ever. All I can say is that this is a must read and one hell of a ride. It's freaking awesome.
This book has SO much emotion in it. You will laugh, you will cry, you’ll just be on a contestant rollercoaster, so buckle up!
Harry has to come to terms with his abnormalities after an accident that left him partially impaired, this is where Jade dances into his life. She teaches him to love himself again and accept his new normal.
I cannot express how much I love that this book has abnormalities and not the perfect girl/boy look. The journey of dealing and accepting things that you can’t change is beautiful and wonderfully done.
This book is a good break from all the dark stuff I typically read. Definitely a feel good book and will definitely be coming back to read it again when I’m in a slump!
Lindsay had me turning the pages to see if there would be a happy ever after or not. I can't wait to see what she does with Rubys story. I liked the little bits throughout the story hinting about Rubys story.
Harry was a very silly teenager who made a mistake and thought he would be forever dead inside. He hated himself. It was great to see him change so drastically and find happiness. I was proud of him.

Harry and Jade are everything! This story is deep, raw, full of emotions and truly a page turner! These characters are completely broken in so many ways, how could anything ever happen between them if they don’t even know how to love themselves! You’ll have to read this book to find out but what I will say is the chemistry between these characters is off the charts and kept me beyond captivated. I truly loved everything about this book!
Want Everything is a beautifully tragic and broken story.A story of self doubt, pain and sweet intense love.
Harry..oh Harry😭😍My favorite of Lindsay's characters to date.He is the rough exteriored, tainted yet secretly golden hearted Beast to Jades sweet Beauty.
I've loved every single one of her books and have devoured them all but this one..this one will forever hold a very special place in my heart.2 thumbs way way up!A million stars and tears!😍❤
If you have read any of Lindsay Becs books you will know she is absolutely an amazing writter! Although this book is amazingly different then her other books, this one involves a very troubled boy named Harry who has gone through a lot of struggles and still is and a beautiful girl name Jade who is deaf so we have sign language as well in the book! It was such a hard and beautiful story of two people who definitely had life challenges and who are determined to come out on the other side! Love seeing another side of Lindsay's writting, I just get sucked in with all of her books and the characters she writes!
Want Everything is the second installment following the King Family. We follow Harry and Jade into their love story that deals with acceptance. Harry was in a car accident that left him impaired. He grew a resentment toward himself, causing one for the world as well. Jade, a dancer, is also impaired. Through Jade, Harry learns how to accept what has happened to him and grow into the man he was once was. This book will have you laughing, crying, mad, EVERYTHING.
