I’m enjoying this series. Yah it is game world based but there is enough character development in reality that I find it very enjoyable. The character interplay is fun to watch as well.

Alert

I hate trying to write reviews because there are really only pass/fail results for me. Did I make it all the way through? Yes? 5 stars. No? There would be nothing here to read. In all fairness, if an author holds my attention from page one to the end, they’ve done their job. Anything less than 5 stars is petty criticism from someone incapable of even doing the job let alone doing a better one.

So in respect for the author and their work, I am going to start pasting this along with a generic review I found somewhere. “This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”

Cheers

A wild ride

Other than a few misspellings/missed words my only complaint is what I feel are inconsistencies in the stats. For instance when Chloe levels and she puts all her points in intelligence then her stat sheet shows it's still at 10. Minor I know but still... Anyways the story in this book was much better and I actually liked the shaman since he wasn't such a druggie in this book. The fight were great and I love how it's kinda 3 stories in one. Chloe, the doc and Kia and then Chloe's and kierra's combined storyline. I def want more which is the best compliment I can give.

It’s okay

This story was okay. Again, like in the first book, it seemed really cheesy. Things are too easy for the characters. It was also a little disappointing to see people added to the party just for the sake of being added to the party. I didn’t get to know them as characters because it seemed like their only purpose was to be plot devices. I also don’t like how the humor in the first and second books is mostly raunchy. It cheapens the story. However, I did like seeing how Chloe and KieraFreya grew as characters.

Good job following the story

I was nervous about reading another Anderle story. I like his Bethany Anne series until it felt like he rushed the series. Didn’t follow an outline and spent tons of time writing about stuff that never tied into the story. He has done a great job with these books. Building the characters and Obsidian world. Well done. Please don’t loose your focus with this series!!!

A horse, a horse, my God good for a horse.

A amazingly good second book. I can't wait for the next one and the adventures out heroes will have.
Great characters with realistic situations and lots of fun times.
What has the imp got planned and what will his champion do now that she has lost the armour.
Never been into these types of games but I love fantasy books. Ever since I read Lord of the ring.
I'm eagerly awaiting the next book 😁

Fun continuation of Chloe's journey

Anderle amps things up in the second installment of his little LitRPG series (or will it just be a trilogy?). I'm not sure this is necessarily better than the first book, but it wasn't a step backwards. Pretty much more of the same with some of twists and stakes being raised. That said, I enjoyed it and if you liked the first book, you'll enjoy this one.

Normally

Normally , not my favorite genre. But , with the exception of the Kurtherian Gambit and possibly the Zoo series , this is my new favorite series by this author. The MC is well developed , as are the supporting characters. The story line is amazing and keeps me wanting more. Action , adventure and a great plot. What more could you want Book three !

Self-discovery

The way that Chloe is growing and discovering more about herself along the way is a great underpinning for the series. We also see the other characters growing, and some surprises: not all happy ones. I’m completely wrapped up in this series, 100% immersed when reading. Bring on Goddess Complete!

Gaming as a book??

I would have never chosen to read this type of book before, it was only because it was written by an author I love. This series is great I am loving the story and the characters. I would have liked to have seen little more of the scene about Jessie dying, but maybe I will get more of that in the next book.
Impatiently waiting ❤️

Another outstanding story

Such a joy to read a story with such interesting things happening. The action is non stop. The quests and the people they meet are so different. What will the future hold for all?

Ridiculously cheesy but a fun read and held my attention. The game, Obsidian, in the book is described so well I'm wishing for something like it in real life. Can't wait to know how it all concludes in the next book.

Four stars!

Good story, good premise, interesting universe you're playing in. When she gets out of the pod, she will be a force to recond with.
