I really like this book. My kids like it, too. It’s a great way to show that waking up grumpy is normal, but there’s lots you can do to change that frown upside down throughout the day. I like reading it with a grumpy voice that gets less grumpy on each page.

We got a little behind entering books we’ve read the last couple months, but we’ll try to start off 2021 right!

Super cute illustrations tell the story of a tortoise who wakes up feeling grumpy, but spends the day doing things he enjoys and the grumpy emotion goes away.

This is a very cute book for new readers. I enjoyed reading it to the little ones in my family before bed. I think it will help them practice their reading skills. It has cute illustrations.

So many great ideas for when we feel grumpy. Taking a walk, talking with friends, soaking up the sun, going for a swim, listening to music, sharing a snack with friends.
