What a perfect way to celebrate a Christmas in July book by reading Tess Thompson's Cliffside Bay Christmas Wedding! I love snow globes and for me this story was like picking one up and looking in at the beautiful setting of Emerson Pass, Colorado with characters anticipating the dream wedding. It's peaceful and beautiful with so much promise. Then the irresistible temptation to shake it and watch the snow swirl and fall happens. I picked up this book and knew I was going to step into this snow ...more

I really enjoyed this book and like how each chapters was a different characters' POV. I loved all the characters, with the exception of Lisa's mother, who totally irked and appalled me, as I know people like her. The author excels at character development and created a believable, cringe-worthy character.
I really liked Rafael's mother and was tickled by her budding romance. Rafael's reactions are just hysterical! The character interactions were often amusing, often sweet, and quite human.

This was a quick read that held my heart captive. The love that flows through this whole series is so sweet and pure. This novella was filled with surprises and more love that you would think possible.

Lisa and Rafael finally have the wedding of Lisa’s dreams. I say Lisa’s because we all know the wedding is truly all about the bride. It’s her big day even though Rafael was just as happy and excited. I’m sure he would have been fine going to Vega and eloping.. But his love for Lisa was so strong

Author Tess Thompson continues to draw me in further with the wonderful characters of Cliffside Bay! I have never found a place as heartwarming and magical as the awesome setting of her Cliffside Bay series. In this beautifully written novella, love is stirring full force for our favorite couples,as well as, Mama Soto. The friends and family of Rafael and Lisa gather in the beautiful ski town, Emerson Pass, Colorado to witness their marriage. As usual when Lisa's mother comes around, there will ...more

To say Tess couldn’t get any better, is literally the understatement of a lifetime! This novella will put you in all the feelings as all weddings do but this is so much more than just about a wedding. We are able to get more background on some of our favorite people in cliffside bay and it’s amazing! Tess always outdoes herself with every book and i don’t think she will ever stop being amazing at being an author!

Tess Thompson has done it again. She has written an outstanding Novella that is sure to leave you breathless.
In this novella Ms. Thompson brings you to Emerson Pass to prepare for and celebrate the marriage of Lisa Perry and Rafael Soto.
I loved every part of this story as it centers around friendship, family, second chances, moving forward and happily ever after. I highly recommend this one as it will having you laughing and crying.

Everyone is gathered in snow covered Colorado for the wedding of Rafael and Lisa .
Now, if they can only survive the “ mothers “.
Lisa’s mom has always been critical of her , they have had a rocky relationship, her mom uses the night before the wedding to drop a bombshell !
While Mama Soto May find her future different from what she has planned!
This novella was a great, quick read with all the Tess Thompson details we have come to know and love !

There’s nothing like a Christmas story in July, especially when there’s a wedding involved. Tess Thompson does a masterful job of adding little twists that are so unexpected while adding depth and wonderful dynamics to the characters and the story itself.

Another fantastic story by the wonderfully talented Tess Thompson. If you haven’t read any of Tess’ books I highly recommend you add her books to your TBR!

I am steadily working my way through Tess's Cliffside Bay series and this was a little novella to slip into the stream of love stories.
We finally get to see the wedding of Raphael and Lisa, but not without a few dramas along the way.
I enjoy how these extra snippets of stories add another layer to the relationship that us readers are building with all the characters in the series, and the fact that it is set in Emerson Pass, after ready g the first book in Tess's newest series, well, that was ano

Christmas Wedding is a short and sweet addition to the Cliffside Bay series, this book was so beautifully written. During this time I am looking for short reads that are uplifting and this one certainly fit the bill. I would definitely recommend this read to others.

Christmas Wedding (Cliffside Bay Series )
Tess Thompson
5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tess has yet again brought us a beautiful story from Cliffside Bay . I don't read many Christmas books this time of year but this year i am doing Christmas in July.

Christmas Wedding is beautifully written story of Lisa and Raphael. This story touched my heart so much. I love Tess's writing style and the fact she writes good clean romances. The book starts off with Mama Soto. ( Raphael mom ) Lord she had me laughing so much with her M

Cliffside Bay characters in a beautiful Christmas story about love....

Lisa a beautiful actress is engaged to her body guard Raphael. Lisa’s best friends Pepper and Maggie are once again at her side. Several years prior Lisa read about the Colorado town with the cute church in the mountains in a magazine. She expressed her dream to her best friends about someday having a Christmas Wedding in that quaint mountain town and in that picturesque church. Pepper and Maggie helped her remember her dream

Christmas Wedding: Lisa and Rafael,
This short Christmas story was a great fix for my longing for the next Cliffside Bay book by Tess Thompson. The story is a follow up story for the last two books released. The books don’t have to be read in order, but this one, I would recommend reading after Healed: Stone and Pepper. The author does a good job in all of her books in keeping the reader caught up on parts they may have missed but since this is such a short story, it is best if read in order.

A wedding that changes several lives!

What starts out as "whatever can go wrong, will go wrong" quickly turns into "the right things happen for the right reasons." It's a wonderful time, and if you've been following the events in Cliffside Bay, you don't want to miss this special novella.

Everyone that matters is in Emerson, Colorado for Rafael and Lisa's wedding. For Lisa, it's a chance to finally confront her mother; for Mama Soto, it's time to start a new chapter in her life. For others, it's

This is the Christmas story that bridges the two phases of the Cliffside Bay series. It's time for Lisa and Rafael to get married. And you will want to read their story, Missed, before you read this one.

The perfect wedding is planned in Emerson Pass, with an idyllic wintery Christmas setting. It sounds magical and I feel like I want to visit this place, or something just like it.

I love reading about the weddings of these characters. And I love all of the other characters that are in this. You've

I usually enjoy reading Christmas stories during the correct season, however I have been waiting for this one and was delighted to read it in July! Tess Thompson is one of my favorite authors and her Cliffside Bay series is absolutely wonderful!
I loved the intimate setting for the wedding, with snow swirling around outside for Lisa and Rafael. Their friends Stone and Pepper were able to arrange a destination wedding for them that Lisa had dreamed of all of her life. It was so romantic and intim

An awesome novella set after Book 7 in Tess Thompson's Cliffside Bay series, the blurb says it fits after book 6 but there are elements from book 7 that won't make sense to the reader if they haven't read book 7 yet.
A fast read - being a novella in an established series means lots of the background information is already known ie characters and their stories.
What a fun journey. We learn a lot more about the older characters in the series who have been background players in previous books - Rosa,

First, you need to read Healed: Stone and Pepper before reading this book. It sets the stage for everything that happens. Second, the story of Lisa and Rafael's wedding is mesmerizing. Tess Thompson cleverly intertwines the stories of Lisa's parents with that of Rafael's mother and the effect each story has on the wedding. The bombshell delivered by her parents took me by surprise. I literally did not see that coming. The twist with his mother was told in a way that any child of a single parent ...more

I knew once I started this book, that I wasn't going to sleep until I finished the book. What a great read with some surprises that made me happy and sad at the same time. Any book that can make me feel sorry for someone that I really don't like, is a good book.

This is Rafael and Lisa's wedding story, but we get to see all the rest of the crew. It's a chance to see if all of Stone and Pepper's planning pans out, but events throughout had me wondering at times if the wedding was going to happen

A lovely story about Rafael and Lisa's dream wedding held in snowy Colorado during the Christmas season! We first followed this couple's falling in love story in Missed, a previous book in the wonderful Cliffside Bay series. This author, Tess Thompson, has such an extraordinary way with words; reading this book you can visualize it all, and feel you are experiencing this beautiful weekend with Rafael and Lisa and their friends and family. There's much happiness and friendship in this little stor ...more

Cliffside Bay Christmas Wedding is a delightful novella!
The Cliffside crew is headed to Emerson Pass Colorado for Rafael and Lisa’s wedding. Pepper and Stone have worked out all the details to make the event everything Lisa and Rafael could want.
This may be a novella, but it is chock full of everything you expect from a Tess Thompson book including fierce, loyal friendships and complex family dynamics,
I especially loved the scenes with Mama Soto, I literally laughed out loud a few times. She’s

The weekend has finally arrived for Raphael’s and Lisa’s wedding. Everyone has gathered and all seems wonderful until Lisa’s parents drop a bombshell on the festivities. And who is this man making eyes at his Mama and worse why is she laughing and drinking it up. Raphael needs to put a stop to it before his Mama gets hurt. Or so he thinks. This was a wedding made from dreams and Pepper is determined it will be one her friend never forgets. A fabulous novella and extension of the Cliffside Bay se ...more

Two Things To Love!

There are two things I loved about this short book:

We get to catch up with some of our favorite Cliffside Bay characters and read about Rafael and Lisa’s wedding (with a little family drama thrown in for good measure).

And, two, we see the beginning of a love story between two characters in their fifties! I hope the author does a spin-off featuring some of her older characters. Us older folks can fall in love, too! I was 57 when I found my happily ever after!

Thank you for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for my honest review. I jumped in quickly to read this story as I am a true fan of Cliffside Bay and all those who live there, as well as I was anxiously awaiting the wedding of Rafael and Lisa. The true life experiences bring unexpected twists and turns into the story. New characters are introduced that I can't wait to discover more about in future books of this series. The emotions expressed at the end of the book actually brought tears to my ...more

Received an ARC copy of this from the author. The characters from Cliffside Bay are involved in watching Lisa and Rafael tie the knot. Friends Stone and pepper have worked so hard to plan the perfect Colorado Snow wedding for Lisa and Rafael. As their friends and family head to The Lodge and the Lake House The couple is anxious to tie the knot. Meanwhile we see a new side of Mama Soto, and Lisa feels she never meets her mother’s expectations.

It’s Christmas, and there’s a wedding to plan! Rafael and Lisa are planning the perfect wedding in Emerson Pass, Colorado. Perfect, yes, but of course there are hiccups! Mama Soto is ridding the family of the marriage curse! Lisa’s mama is interfering again! It’s snowing! Will the perfect wedding ever happen? Pepper is certain it will, and she is quite the planner! I highly recommend this wonderful novella! What could be better than reading about a Christmas wedding in July!

While this story is focused on the wedding of Lisa and Rafael love abounds in this tiny Colorado mountain town of Emerson Pass. Is there magic at the Lake House? Who’ll be next to fall in love? Stay tuned for the next Cliffside Bay book. If you haven’t read any of the previous Cliffside Bay books I highly recommend beginning with Traded: Brody and Kara. Next best would be to start with Missed: Rafael and Lisa.

Lisa and Rafael's wedding story will definitely get you in the feels. Not only are they adorably and deeply in love but Mama Soto's story will grab you too. She's so funny with her marriage curse cures but when the story starts from her POV... I literally put hand to chest from the happy anticipation. This is not a stand alone. You definitely need to read Missed: Lisa and Rafael 1st (at least but, I would start from the beginning with Traded: Brody and Kara). Highly recommend the whole series! ...more
