To my knowledge, the author hasn't disgraced herself yet and rated her own book five stars. I get a little more than annoyed whenever I see an author do that, lol. (less)
Honestly I think this is linked to the incoming trend of YA authors moving into adult fiction. Sarah J. Mass is set to release Crescent City, and Leigh Bardugo just released Ninth House. They’re catching up with their audience. The readers that read Throne of Glass back when it first came out are adults now and might yearn for more mature content. Writing adult fiction is ...more
Wait, hold up. Wrong story."
3 stars for the actual story and that extra star is for all the Ash scenes I was blessed with🥺
yes, I know this is Puck's book but...there was also Ash *swoooon*
First thing's first -- The Iron Raven is a spin-off of the The Iron Fey series, so while you don't necessarily have to read that before this, I highly recommend it!!

Thank you so much for the ARC, Inkyard Press!!!
Y'all know, Shadow of the Fox is my favorite YA Fantasy trilogy of all time, and I cannot wait to dive into a new world created by Kagawa.
I will be participating in the Blog Tour for this release, with my reviewing going up on February 14th, 2021.
That's right, Valentine's Day, because there is a raven on this cover and I am in love!
WE HAVE COVER AND TITLE AND OMG?
I read the original trilogy when I was 12-ish in 2011!!! I LOVED ASH SO MUCH!!!!!!
So, now I will be reading The Iron Fey again because nostalgia is a bitch. Also, I never read Ethan's books (IT'S AMAZING THAT I REMEMBER THE NAMES, YOU GUYS!) and maybe I will give it a try, but as a rule, I hate spin-offs.
2012 is making its comeback, I'm excited. ...more
Edit: I’m excited for this but I’m kind of nervous for this as the series was wrapped beautifully and I think it’s fine on how it is. But more Puck and Ash. So yes!
I... have no words to describe fully what I'm feeling. I MISSED this world SO MUCH. The first time I heard about The Iron Raven, I was ECSTATIC. Not surprising considering I have a bottomless love for The Iron Fey books. Julie Kagawa bringing us all back to this amazing world and its lovable, unforgettable characters is probably the best part of my 2020.
I was feeling EVERYTHING while reading this. I was excited and a bit scared but mostly just in ...more

I would like to thank the publisher, Inkyard Press, for sending me an ARC.
I started reading the original series when it first came out and I don’t know why I never finished it. This book just made me want to venture back into the world of the Iron Fey. This is one of those series that I think has aged well. A lot of YA books, I find myself kind of bored by them now. This one is kind of the odd one-as of late. With that being said, ...more
** I received this as an E-ARC from Edelweiss Plus and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, Thank you!**
My honest thoughts.... I'm not even sure what I just read. The moment I started this book I felt so confused. I didn't know what was happening or what we were doing. This is completly on my part. I feel like I'm missing something reading this story. Maybe I just wasnt focused enough while reading, I really don't know. From what I did get out of this book that I know peopl ...more
