Great insights into dolphins. Then on page 140 she gets too far out over her skis. Taking on the role of et channeler, she spouts nonsense for the rest of the book.

Came for the dolphins, stayed for the grand gala of schizophrenia.
2/5 stars because it's one of the funniest books I've ever read. Also, some of the visual art is so crazy that it's hard to look at.
The author has some ridiculous, I guess uniquely special, very important relations with dolphins, and the dolphins even speak to her through energies, and teach her to speak dolphin, and so forth. So do various alien species from outer space who are also light beings trying to evolve us to the 4th dimensional or 5th dimensional planes.
She goes on to say that because Native Hawaiians don't mention dolphins in their songs, that dolphins didn't even actually arrive on Earth until the 20th century. How you could be this stoned, I dunno. I looked it up, and there were ancient Hawaiian myths with dolphins in them. Not to mention other countries in the world mentioning dolphins prior to the 20th century. Bet she didn't see that curveball coming in the 90's.
Anyways, dolphins was really a segue to the final 25% of the book where she talks about these dolphins are really ambassadors of the alien light beings, and that if we can listen closely enough, and open our minds to dimensions beyond 3D then we can communicate with the alien light beings who've been mistreated by the government all this time.
It's like the movie Contact, but way more ridiculous. I think maybe that 90's New Age zeitgeist had more of an impact on wider culture than we imagine. Also, one of her organizations is abbreviated to ECCO, y'know, like Ecco the Dolphin. This is probably plagiarism though, because Ecco the Dolphin existed before this book came out.
There is crazier New Age books out there, but this one called to me. Great aesthetics. Curious imagination. At times hilarious. I hope she at least had a lot of fun writing this. 95% total nonsense.

Great,to explore this new world an learn more about dolphins and metafysical energy . Interesting theories maby sometimes a little vague and far fetched. But still very interesting book .

This book was a lot of fun to read, and a treat for the imagination.. but one thing that really bothered me was that the author so obviously just made up facts and drew bizarre conclusions.. I said this book was fun to read, but the author truly believes in what she's saying, and thinks that she has this magical insight that gives her the ability to assert made up, outrageous "facts" that she pulled out of her ass. Anyways, I'm still happy that I own the book because her imagination is brilliant and exciting, regardless.

Amazing insights and Joan is and inspiration to me and many. I have enjoyed her sharing and teachings many times. I found the experiences to be genuine and true to her spirit. I would recommend this book for many reasons, but certainly for anyone who may wish to be closer to the dolphins and their messages. E. Dassau

I feel like this book is a product of trying to cope with a difficult reality and a fantasy desire, but I love it. Even though I think what the author writes is absurd, I still get wrapped up into her world of dolphins, higher dimensions, and love. It's fun, and it's an interesting form of escapism.
