“Batman: White Knight” was the most engaging Batman story of the past several years, both well written and superbly drawn. It contended with serious modern subjects, like race, gender and inequality. All the recent criticisms about the chauvinism and elitism of the caped crusader were brought to the frontline, although not taken to their ultimate consequences. It was Batman’s Watchmen moment. When I read about “Batman: The Curse of the White Batman”, I became both thrilled and worried. The risk ...more

What I like about Sean Murphy's vision of Batman is that it actually has the guts to do the things I wish the main storyline would have done decades ago. Here we actually see Batman face the consequences of his acts, and evolve. We see the characters in new and interesting places that don't feel forced. Overall, Curse of the White Knight is a strong sequel to the masterful White Knight that makes bold choices and leaves the future open for another exciting entry with some long-awaited characters ...more

Holy Macaroni Batman , Sean 's writing is getting better , this story is well thought but it hitting the batman universe like a ton of brick . Friendship are created some are put on trial . The only thing is the character of jean-paul is not enough developed for me is motivation , since he is not the center of the story , how he is dealing with his cancer.

The other thing is the presence of the joker still.

This was a good read .

The next project for sean is the plothole so the next batman story i

I actually preferred this run to the first run. The story in the original run is cool but by the time i got to the end i was happy to not see Murphy's weird long faced Batman anymore. Butttt i have to say he upped his art game big time on this one. He's always been a great artist but I just didn't enjoy how he was drawing batman's face before this.

I'm quite picky over the most pointless things.

It's a decent conclusion to the story. With all the non-canonical twists they took, they could have pushed the finale harder. I like this spin on Batman and love Murphy's art, but am glad it's non-canonical. ...more

Just incredible! What a great series in Batman comics. The emotional aspect was so strong, art was incredible, and the story was excellent. A must read in modern Batman writing.
