This book provides a new template for the second half of life, one that it is bursting with energy, health, power, creativity, and new beginnings. Rather than settling for less than our dreams, it fills us with the expectation that this period is our second chance to do, and to be, all the things we've ever dreamed of--and more! This is the first book to apply the breakthrough insights of Energy Psychology to aging. Energy Psychology is an exciting new healing method that changes the body's electromagnetic energy fields to produce immediate psychological shifts and physical well-being. It involves a simple set of breathing and touching exercises and can be learned quickly by anyone. After just a few minutes of applying these methods, you can amaze yourself with how much better you feel! Energy Psychology pioneer Dorothea Hover-Kramer explains its basic principles in ways that are easy to understand. She shows how energy methods can liberate us from many of the typical problems of aging, such as low energy and reduced motivation.

Finally, a book outlining the benefits of energy work from practical, common “psychological” perspective.
The book discuses charkas, acupuncture pathways, emotional freedom technique (EFT) and many other forms of energy used to heal.
Holistic medicine is mind; body, spirit, and while older generations may not have much exposure to these systems, this author makes learning about them easy, interesting and fun. It exposes energy work to the layperson!
More importantly, these techniques work. Why not feel better and get to the root of issues naturally, without medication? Why not explore your dreams and desires and open the opportunity to manifest those dreams? Energy work helps concretize your goals.
How the human mind, functions and what it is capable of, is still in the embryonic stage…we can’t measure it all and even if we had the technology, we
still would not know all of its vast capabilities. This book allows the reader to help himself. To learn and understand many systems, and to grasp how they work.
This book gives the reader many stories and techniques that will bring hope, encouragement, joy, and change. Energy follows thought. By recreating positive thoughts, energy changes, and that changes outcomes.
A great self-help book for the disbelievers. Try the techniques. You will be happier.
As a practitioner of acupuncture and herbal medicine, I utilize many techniques, and educate patients on how to help themselves. When asked where these techniques came from, I offer a simple answer, “God made them.” We do not need a team of scientists to prove that they work. They do. This author easily explains how to create abundance, joy and balance.
She is warm-hearted, with great stories and exercises to help you easily change your outlook. Help, hope, and renewal at any age are possible. Enjoy this one! I can’t wait for more. This book brings knowledge and power to that that is within.

Hover-Kramer reframes the aging process from our collective fears of seeing ourselves as becoming worn-out and useless to viewing the “golden years” of later life as a prime opportunity to complete the parts of our life’s work when we have maturity, skills, and time. Not only does she inspire us to see the gift of long life as a wonderful opportunity, but she also gives us practical tools and exercises to make our dreams happen. Dorothea is a pioneer in the field of energy therapies and has written many books. Second Chance at Your Dream includes many exercises from her earlier book Creative Energies, but working with the basic energy system of meridians and chakras does not change through the lifespan, and these simple Energy Psychology techniques are especially valuable as we age. Dorothea also addresses a topic which has been generally considered taboo in our society: death and dying. When we do not talk about the end of life, the natural conclusion of aging, we miss out on seeing the beauty of life as a cycle and the spiritual dimension of helping people prepare for the next world after the spirit leaves the physical body. The wisdom in this book is valuable for readers of any age!
