The Hush Note series comes to an end with its lead guitarist’s love story and this emotional, slow burn romance was the happy ending Nixon very much deserved! This rock-star multi-authored series consumed me this past few weeks and I am so glad I decided to give these books a go. I have read from the previous two authors before but this is actually my first book by Rebecca Yarros and I have to say I am very i ...more

An emotional and highly poignant story to end a fantastic series with. Muses & Melodies really closes it out with an emotional bang. Nix's story was everything I had hoped for and so much more.

My bruised, aching, joyful heart. Oof.
This series has been perfection. And because of the skillful way Sarina Bowen and Devney Perry crafted their stories - my heart was already primed to attach itself fiercely to Nixon Winters. I already hurt for him. I already loved his soft, loyal underbelly. I already knew his story was going to hurt.
Each of these stories has hit my feelings in different ways, but Nixon's tugged at my heart the hardest. The reason for Nixon's issues isn't revea ...more
This series simply doesn't miss, not a bad book in sight.
“I wanted him for more than a few months. Somewhere between his penthouse in Seattle and the ranch in Colorado, between the private jets, the dressing rooms, and my mom’s kitchen, I’d fallen in love with him."
Fresh from rehab Hush Note's lead guitarist Nixon is continuing to fight his internal battles and upkeep his sobriety whilst his manager's assistant, Zoe has been put in charge of keeping an eye on him. Nixon has never ...more
Just random thoughts
We finally get Nixon's story, Nixon is the self destructive addict of the band. Every summer he drinks more, does drugs and has lots of crude and meaningless sexual encounters. His band and members of his management team try to contain him but he seems to have turned over a new leaf. Of his own violation he entered and completed rehab....now the band's manager has sent his assistant to help Nixon keep on the right track. But Nixon is battling demons no one knows ...more
Muses & Melodies is Nixon’s story the third member of the Hush Note band.
We have seen Nix struggling with addiction in the previous books in the series and I was so curious to know and to understand him better in this book.
I loved this story. It was nice, funny, hot and moving. The epilogue was just the sweetest ending that will put a smile on your face and it will mend your broken heart.
Nixon is Hush Note’s guitarist extraordinaire, after he comes back from the rehab he finds out that his frie

5 I’ve Got Tea CROWNS
I’ve been waiting for Nixon’s story since the beginning of the standalone Hush Notes series, and Rebecca Yarros didn’t disappoint. Nixon’s and Zoe’s story is one of redemption and heartache, with love triumphing over all.
Nixon is the bad boy rocker you love, heart of gold with ghost plaguing him. You wanted to hold him close and keep him safe, and that is why readers will like Zoe. She toes the line of caring for him and holding him responsible. She had ...more
"Top 3 Reads of my life!"
I CAN NOT... CAN NOT PUT INTO WORDS THE LOVE I HAVE FOR MUSES AND MELODIES. I am the type of gal to review as soon as I finish reading because my emotions and feelings are still raw. It's unheard of me to actually wait to write my review, BUT this time was different. I put my hands on the keyboard to start said review, and I couldn't even put the words down because I was still reeling like an addict, and to be perfectly honest, I still am. All my ...more
Oh. My. Addiction!!! I am so hooked on the Hush Note family! Muses and Melodies is a moving masterpiece that marked my heart and sang to my soul. Rebecca Yarros has crafted a romance that’s as strong as it is sexy and sweet, a fierce and feel-worthy journey that tackles the battle of addiction as it bleeds, love, lyrics and light.
Told through a struggling rocker and the strong woman who’s his muse, Muses and Melodies is a tangled ...more

I have absolutely loved this series and what each author has brought to the table for these characters. Nixon has been an enigma right from the start, so I was really keen to get his story and find out what his demons were. Especially after getting more of him in Quinn's book.
I really liked the dynamic between Nixon and Zoe in this one. The way their story evolves is really quite fun and I loved getting to know them as they got to ...more

Let me start by saying that both Sarina Bowen and Devney Perry did a stellar job introcuding Nixon's character in the previous books in the Hush Note series. The authors worked like a well-oiled machine, smoothly moving from one story to the next, perfectly creating outlines of characters whose story was told by another writer. And when Rebecca Yarros took the helm I was flooded with deep, raw emotions. Muses and Melodies was pure perfection, ...more

Loved Muses & Melodies by Rebecca Yarros.
From the first page to the last I was hooked, the storyline is beautifully written, it's emotional, heartbreaking, romantic and I loved every word.
Rebecca Yarros has once again proven why she's one of my top go to authors. Her words come from her heart and have a way of touching your soul ❤️
The Hush Note books have been such a good read and I highly recommend them all!
I like the premise of the story, it was interesting. A damaged hero who's trying to stay sober and a sassy heroine. Although I find it the story a bit slow moving, it still work out fine.
I love Quinn and her frank comment. I love the group's dynamic relationship.
What's bothering Nix was not fully explored. (view spoiler)[ He was healed but how? How did it work out with his dad? How did he came to have some peace? When did the nightmare stop? It was just easily resolved withou ...more
Oh wow, what a way to end the series! A gorgeously emotional book full of chemistry, steam, swoon, and delicious angst in an epic rockstar romance that had me absolutely captivated!
Sarina Bowen and Devney Perry did a fantastic job setting up Hush Note’s lead guitarist, Nixon Winters, as this broody, troubled soul with a big heart underneath all of his bravado, and Rebecca Yarros has brought it home, nailing this complex character and providing him with exactly the story that I was h ...more
We have seen Nixon struggle with addiction and apparent depression in the other two books. He has some demons that seem to have a hold on him and it is hard for him to deal with them. After nearly dying, he finally took himself to rehab and did a short program since he wants to be able to get back on the road with the band. After getting sober he is angry, easily annoyed, and self-loathing. He does not think he really deserves happiness himself, but wants to help his band have success ...more

After two books, reading about this man's downward spiral with drugs and alcohol, I was desperate to learn his backstory.
Going into this book I knew 3 things:
He is a great musician.
He is an even better friend.
And something from his past haunts him, particularly during the summer.
This story picks up as Nixon returns from another stint in rehab, and this time, Berkshire Management is protecting their investment, assigning him a babysitter of sorts, Zoe Shannon, his m ...more
