If I can keep Hush Note’s leading guitarist, Nixon Winters, on the straight and narrow for the next six months, I’ll finally get my own band to manage—assuming we don’t kill each other first.

The egotistical, irritating rock star is fresh out of rehab, but it’s obvious his demons followed him home—and now I’m sleeping down the hall. I’ve watched him self-destruct every summ

The Hush Note series comes to an end with its lead guitarist’s love story and this emotional, slow burn romance was the happy ending Nixon very much deserved! This rock-star multi-authored series consumed me this past few weeks and I am so glad I decided to give these books a go. An emotional and highly poignant story to end a fantastic series with. Muses & Melodies really closes it out with an emotional bang. Nix's story was everything I had hoped for and so much more.

Oh, my heart!

My bruised, aching, joyful heart. Oof.

This series has been perfection. And because of the skillful way Sarina Bowen and Devney Perry crafted their stories - my heart was already primed to attach itself fiercely to Nixon Winters. I already hurt for him. I already loved his soft, loyal underbelly. I already knew his story was going to hurt.

Each of these stories has hit my feelings in different ways, but Nixon's tugged at my heart the hardest. The reason for Nixon's issues isn't revea

This series simply doesn't miss, not a bad book in sight.

“I wanted him for more than a few months. Somewhere between his penthouse in Seattle and the ranch in Colorado, between the private jets, the dressing rooms, and my mom’s kitchen, I’d fallen in love with him."

Fresh from rehab Hush Note's lead guitarist Nixon is continuing to fight his internal battles and upkeep his sobriety whilst his manager's assistant, Zoe has been put in charge of keeping an eye on him. Nixon has never

Muses & Melodies is Nixon’s story the third member of the Hush Note band.
We have seen Nix struggling with addiction in the previous books in the series and I was so curious to know and to understand him better in this book.

I loved this story. It was nice, funny, hot and moving. The epilogue was just the sweetest ending that will put a smile on your face and it will mend your broken heart.

Ahhh I am absolutely kicking myself that I didn't sign up for Rifts & Refrains as well. I am so in love with Hush Note I don't know if I can wait a week to get my hands on it. Because Sarina Bowen and Rebecca Yarros just slayed my aversion to rock star romance and I just want more.

After I read Lies & Lullabies I jumped straight into this one. I was a little nervous because we didn't know a lot about Nixon other than that he was haunted and self-medicating. But seriously that could have been anyt

5 I’ve Got Tea CROWNS

I’ve been waiting for Nixon’s story since the beginning of the standalone Hush Notes series, and Rebecca Yarros didn’t disappoint. Nixon’s and Zoe’s story is one of redemption and heartache, with love triumphing over all.

Nixon is the bad boy rocker you love, heart of gold with ghost plaguing him. You wanted to hold him close and keep him safe, and that is why readers will like Zoe. She toes the line of caring for him and holding him responsible. She had

OMG THIS SERIES IS AMAZING!! We have Rebecca Yarros coming in with the finale that stars Nixon and BLOWS ME WAY. This series snuck on me. It blew down the doors of a "typical" rockstar romance and floored me with the amount of FEELS and grit that surrounded me while reading. I truly LOVE this series. I completely connected with all of the characters, and felt their love, heartbreak, devotion, and friendship...these authors did an incredible job of writing each story with it's own flare, and trag ...more

"Top 3 Reads of my life!"

I CAN NOT... CAN NOT PUT INTO WORDS THE LOVE I HAVE FOR MUSES AND MELODIES. I am the type of gal to review as soon as I finish reading because my emotions and feelings are still raw. It's unheard of me to actually wait to write my review, BUT this time was different. I put my hands on the keyboard to start said review, and I couldn't even put the words down because I was still reeling like an addict, and to be perfectly honest, I still am. All my

Oh. My. Addiction!!! I am so hooked on the Hush Note family! Muses and Melodies is a moving masterpiece that marked my heart and sang to my soul. Rebecca Yarros has crafted a romance that’s as strong as it is sexy and sweet, a fierce and feel-worthy journey that tackles the battle of addiction as it bleeds, love, lyrics and light.

I was so waiting for the final book in the Hush Note series. I couldn’t wait to see where Nixon was going or how he would get there. And, for the story to be written by an author that I totally love and respect was an added bonus.

Rebecca Yarros had me anticipating this story from the moment the series was announced. This story brings the broken Nixon full circle. From friends standing beside him, a sexy babysitter and his commitment to stay sober, you can’t help but root for the underdog to make

I like the premise of the story, it was interesting. A damaged hero who's trying to stay sober and a sassy heroine. Although I find it the story a bit slow moving, it still work out fine.

I love Quinn and her frank comment.  I love the group's dynamic relationship.

What's bothering Nix was not fully explored.  (view spoiler)

I have absolutely loved this series and what each author has brought to the table for these characters. Nixon has been an enigma right from the start, so I was really keen to get his story and find out what his demons were. Especially after getting more of him in Quinn's book.

„There won’t be anyone after you. It’s just you.”

Let me start by saying that both Sarina Bowen and Devney Perry did a stellar job introcuding Nixon's character in the previous books in the Hush Note series. The authors worked like a well-oiled machine, smoothly moving from one story to the next, perfectly creating outlines of characters whose story was told by another writer. And when Rebecca Yarros took the helm I was flooded with deep, raw emotions. Muses and Melodies was pure perfection,

I knew I needed Nixon's story, but I had no idea it was gonna be this good! I loved every moment of this book. There was so much emotion. And the connection between the two characters! WOW. I could feel all the chemistry. When we see Nixon in the other two books, we get this little taste of him--the mess he is, but also the hints at how good of a guy he can be. It just made me wonder what was going on with him and what his backstory was. Why is he the way he is? This story definitely delivered! ...more

Muses and Melodies by Rebecca Yarros is the 3rd and final book in the Hush Note Series. I knew from what we learned of Nixon in Lies & Lullabies, and Rifts and Refrains that his story was going to be a story that would destroy me! The last few of Rebecca Yarros’s books has been absolutely stellar for me—tear-jerkers, heart-wrenching and unforgettable sorts that you can’t really get back to unless you want a broken heart again and again—so giving ‘Muses and Melodies’ a go seemed like a natural step to take.

The minder and the out-of-control rock star gone off the deep end isn’t a new trope, but I was eager to see what Yarros has done with this. Not having read the first two books meant going in blind, but I didn’t have any

This third installment of the Hush Note series from Rebecca Yarros tells the story of Nixon, guitarist and composer for the band. He's out of rehab but it's a struggle to stay sober, especially when the demons from his past show up every summer.

With tour dates and deadines looming, Nixon's manager gives him a handler. Zoe Shannon is a dedicated professional with a career plan that hinges upon making sure that Nixon doesn't implode under the pressure. It doesn't hurt that she gets to live with N

Muses and Melodies is the 3rd and final book in the Hush Notes series and it was an emotional rockstar romance that held my attention from beginning to end. Oh wow, what a way to end the series! A gorgeously emotional book full of chemistry, steam, swoon, and delicious angst in an epic rockstar romance that had me absolutely captivated!

Sarina Bowen and Devney Perry did a fantastic job setting up Hush Note’s lead guitarist, Nixon Winters, as this broody, troubled soul with a big heart underneath all of his bravado, and Rebecca Yarros has brought it home, nailing this complex character and providing him with exactly the story that I was h
