So, a warning - there were some things that weren't very appealing to me but it's a solid YA fantasy for the fans of the genre with a few unique twists and turns that makes it stand out.

Ms. Behr has written a captivating story in a bold, magical world that grabs you from the start. 16-year-old Violet begins in despair but soon finds herself on an adventure of knowledge that will eventually bring her back home. But will her life ever be the same? I highly recommend this to any fans of fantasy!
This month has been SO HARD for me and reading! I honestly don’t know why. I have more time than ever now to read due to some things going on at home… But, I just keep getting distracted.

This book really surprised me! When starting it, I went in with the notion that every fantasy book had already been written; no way that this one would be different from the ones I have already read. In just a few pages, I was proven wrong. The first quarter of the book in itself contains more of a story than plenty of other books do in their entirety. Personally, if there’s something that instantly gets my heart is a good dystopian book. Now, mix it with a pinch of YA fantasy and a twist of Sci-Fi and you’ll get a book that will grab the attention during every awake hour (and not only!) of everyone.

I absolutely love the world building in this book. It is so detailed and for a fantasy lover that is one of the things that makes a great book. From the first page I was hooked. I loved seeing violet grow and see her powers develop. I got a hard cover and it is a gorgeous book. I love the map that is included. Can’t wait for the next.
