Don't be fooled by the positive, unicorn-loving, bubbly nerd. Sonya writes about dark hearts, soul-crushing moments, and the in-between of moral code. In books, she spares no one from the emotional rollercoaster and the gut-wrenching turns, but in real life, she's all about the bounce—about embracing the change, using the hard parts of life to spring back up, and not giving up when things get tough.
Sonya's a sucker for romance, practically inhales books in her free time like they're oxygen, and nurtures an addiction to criminal psychology. Yes, she watches True Crime as a hobby. Forever a student at heart, Sonya enjoys adding degrees, accolades, and certificates to her roster, and is affectionately referred to as Dr. Paige Turner by her peers.
Her family insists she's smart, but they must not see her lose her phone at least twice a week, try to open the front door with the car fob, or toot brain farts on the daily. Luckily, they also think she's funny. But that's just one of the reasons why she loves her big Portuguese family, rose-colored glasses and all.
Oh, wow. I’m definitely #teamaiden all the way now. Robins has put me out with the way his attitude is toward relationships. And man, Conner definitely deserved what came his way though it was terrible, I was tired of the back and forth bull crap with their relationship. I’m unsure with the way Hawk will be now, and look forward to what will happen. I’m honestly looking forward to book three. Such a great NA suspense series.

The Westbrook Knights series is definitely a must read. In book two, my view of Amelia changes but I’m still not liking Conner. From book one to the middle of this one, I was team Robbins all the way. But now, there are others in the picture trying to capture Amelia’s attention. One, in particular, goes out of his way to let Amelia know much he’s been wanting her. I’m not sure if I want to stay on Robins side or float towards Aidens. As much as he was portrayed as an ass, he showed another side of himself. The end was a wow moment. I had no clue who the stalker was and honestly didn’t think I’d find out until maybe book three. Nope, this Author had me clenching my kindle as my eyes greedily took in the scene in the hospital. Absolutely worth the read and I can’t wait to read books three.
Knights Who Stole My Heart is book 2 in the Knights series, and my second read from this author, once again she has proven how incredible her writing style is, her characters and amazing captivating and compelling storyline is!
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did but I was completely and utterly captivated by how incredibly brilliant this read was!! My oh, my can we also point out how again she has left us hanging with that traumatic & gripping cliffhanger of an ending!
This read from the get-go was suspenseful, thrilling, filled with mystery, it was action packed, fast paced, the edge of your seat fantastic! It was compelling and totally shocking how things all played out! You never once knew what was going to happen and even when something did you never expected it to knock you that far back. The twists and turns that are riddled in this book are so unexpected yet believable you would think that you were living this story yourself!
But along with all these aspects of the story you can't help but relate to the inner turmoil that Amelia struggles with, and man, does she face some things along the way! This was an incredible plot, that flowed from chapter to chapter with perfection, and some incredibly in-depth characters that have you craving to read more. As much as Lia was our main character, I love having all the others from book one make more of an impact in this book and into Lia’s life. But like I said before Hawk’s POV is the one to watch for! I'd love to read a story to find out how he got to where he is today and why, but we definitely now know how far he will take things when it comes to Amelia!
I love the secondary characters just as much in book 2, Robins is one who I will never tire of reading about his and Lia’s relationship/friendship, Connor, who really annoys me big time! but I like that we got more from the soccer guys and especially Aiden! Who I must now say after reading this one I'm hoping he becomes a worthy contender for Lia I'm rooting for him!
I don't think I could rate this book even more if I tried! I love everything about this twisted, suspenseful, romance read that has an incredible gripping storyline and amazing characters and I can't wait to awe where their story rakes them in Book 3 of this series! DO NOT MISS THIS READ!
Knights Who Stole my Heart (Knight Series Book 2) By Sonya Jesus Rated 5 stars
I literally devoured this book in one day. I put all my life on hold because I needed to see what was going to happen next. The writing in this book keeps my interest and the characters? Whoa! Characters? They are real aren’t they?? They seem so real. As you will find out by reading further I went through many emotions while reading this. Love, hate, shock, sorrow, disgust and awe. Some ever changing feelings were brought about by Lia. She really goes through a lot (not only with the boys). I really just want her to end up happy. Each book seems to give us a little more information on each of the characters and their lives. This story starts off where the previous left off. Connor and Lia are in a relationship. Lia and Robins have decided to not be such close friends to give Lia and Connor a chance. Meg and Robins are together and Hawk is still working in to background to make Lia his.
Lia finds she is missing her Robins. Now he is acting more like a Christopher than her Pooh loving Robins and she hates it. Her relationships are all going through changes. When Hawk thinks he has conquered one threat to his Queen others arise. So he works hard to move those knights and pawns around to his advantage.
I am so so angry at two of the boys in this story. Why why why couldn’t they just keep their hands to themselves and not be just boys! Lies are also being told and not in poor Lia’s favor! Grrr! This poor girl struggles enough with her thoughts and feelings and then to add all of this onto her plate! Frustration!
The end of this book ...just...floored me! I am not sure what I think of Hawk now. I am NOT a fan of how this book ended. This seems more cliffhanger like than the ending of the first one. That was a pause but this?? I would want to read more now anyway...no need to use a cliffhanger. My only question to the author is: When can I get more??
Knights Who Stole My Heart by Sonya Jesus is a romantic suspense, the second instalment and continuing story of Amelia and her ‘Knights”. The book has mystery, a drama, angst, danger, violence, sinister intent, a creepy (stalker) factor in the form of one of the characters, as well as some push-pull, obsession, intrigue, romance, and much more. I enjoyed the first book and this one was just as entertaining. It picks up from the first book, but this story digs a little deeper into the character’s emotional states and inner turmoil, as well as ramping up the suspense and delivering a few unexpected developments. This was both fascinating and frustrating all at the same time. Then add a few more “knights” into the picture, with interest in Amelia, and this story gets interesting. I was #TEAMROBBINS in the last book, but now I am also a little conflicted. I am hoping that the next book will make my choices easier. As I discovered in the last book and again in this one- the author has a detailed, descriptive and strong style, she builds the intensity and tension really well, manoeuvring the plot subtly, creating lots of questions and anticipation. The author kept me guessing the whole way through. This is a gripping story of obsession of the worst kind. Ms. Jesus built the tension and suspense beautifully. I was flipping the pages, immersed in the story and trying to figure out what we would find on every page, or around each corner. Ms. Jesus is quite skilled when it comes to character development. All the characters were fully developed, interesting and complex. This is my favourite of the two books, so far. I will definitely be reading the next book!
Finally, the moment I have been waiting for the second book in this series. Knights Who Stole My Heart: Knights Series Book 2 by Sonya Jesus. This book was just as good as the first one and kept me on the edge of my seat. This series is not a standalone. Lia and her romantic life still hurts my head as she tries to figure out who she loves. I am not a fan of Connor and despite everything I still love Robin! If she doesn’t want him, I’ll take him. Then there’s Aiden, that’s all I’m going to say. As she is trying to navigate her hearts path, someone is still out there lurking, watching. Slowly unraveling and things don’t look good for Lia. I just can’t get enough of this series. The ups and downs. The holding of my breath while waiting to find out what happens next. Sometimes I just want to shake my Kindle in frustration because I want to know more. Just as I was finally breathing normally again, Ms. Jesus throws the mother of all endings and I still can’t believe it. So here I am once again waiting impatiently for the next book in this series because its so good.
5 Star Knights Who Stole My Heart:Knights Series Book 2 By Sonya Jesus
Knights Who Stole My Heart:Knights Series Book 2 by Sonya Jesus is the second book in her Knight Series. I recommend reading the first book in this series but you don't have to I'm kinda weird about series and reading in order.I've read other books by this Author and have yet to be disappointed. I love this author's style of writing and her ability to grab and keep everyone attention till the end. Im emotional mess anyway but this story took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride with a few twists and turns. This story is about Amelia and she's torn between what is old and what is new.The issue is her heart is telling her what it wants but she not sure what she wants.Everyday while she wants something different, Hawk is slowly coming apart. As things finally seem to be coming together for her Hawk's plan is coming together things are falling into place with Pawns and the King..There's one thing he didn't plan and thats Queen becomes in danger and Knights are stealing hearts. All im going to say is you have to read this book especially if you want to what happens. I can't wait to see what she has for us next.
**** I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. ****
Okay so when the first book ended the way it did, I needed this book as soon as possible and I got it from Sonya right away just by emailing her. I just had to know what was going to happen next with Lia and the craziness of her life that included Hawk. Things got real interesting fast.
As soon as the book started I was pulled in because Lia was being pulled in different directions right away. Feelings were being spilled and she didn’t know what to do. Hell, she still had to figure out her own. Once she does, everything turns into chaos and Hawk goes mad. Madder than the mad hatter and it isn't cool.
Something bad happens to Lia because someone is after her and everyone is trying to figure out who it is. Is it a friend? One of the men after her love? Is it Hawk? Who is it? Well whoever it is they are done with the pranks and are out to kill. Who said college was all about learning and life and sometimes falling in love?
There is so much going on in this book and I absolutely love it. I didn’t think that the second book could get any better but it did. I couldn’t get enough of the book with all the twists and turns. Also with everyone finally getting their feelings together and figured out.
I adore the progress where Lia and Robins are at but of course I would love more. I will always love more of these two. They are just the best!
The way the book ended was even more of a shocker than how the first book ended! Like fall out of my chair shocker. Like whaaaa? Babam, no thank you ma’am. I expected the last half, but not the first half Sonya. Although I suppose upon further reflection it makes sense, but woo give a girl some warning something’s gonna happen.
Now, I have to wait until the next book is out and what is a girl to do with an ending like that? I mean, for real?
I really enjoyed the story, lots of different little plot hooks and things happening to throw you off and make you second guess yourself. It was great, there were some brilliant and shocking twists and turn of events as the story went on. That ending whoa! I wont spoil it but just you wait.
Once again I found Lia to be a somewhat tedious and annoying character, she has a seriously flawed way of thinking which bizarrely works for the story. There was alot more of Hawk's pov in this one which I really enjoyed, he's quite a sinister character and kind of creepy but fascinating at the same time.
In spite of the main character getting on my nerves with her behaviour I cant help but be completely enthralled by the story. I love how ad the series progresses its gradually getting darker and darker. Cant wait for book 3.
Connor still shows the promise of a new, unscathed future. Lia loves the idea, but can she follow through with what he wants? And then there is the baggage that he brings. He’s best buds with Jaime, Meg’s sister, which is a major hit against him.
Then there’s Robins, Lia’s BFF. He’s sexy and he knows her heart from the inside, but he belongs to Meg and he’s not even faithful to her! But why does it seem like their relationship has changed lately? The soccer gods have come out of the wood work. Since when have they been friends with Lia? She didn’t even think they had ever noticed her!
Throw in Mason and we have an absolute catastrophe!
Hawk is still hiding on the sidelines. He’s still waiting for the day that he will make Lia his Queen. Lia thinks she has problems now, but Hawk is convinced that once they are together, they will never have another problem. He has planned for any that may arise though. He will do anything to be sure of that.
Who knew life at Westbrook could be so eventful? This is definitely going to top Medieval Week! But someone is still pranking Lia. Someone is trying to send her a message. It could be anyone. Is it really a prank? Or will Lia be soon be history?
My Thoughts Sonya Jesus has done it again! I actually think I like this book even better than the first!
From the first pages, I was drawn back in to the story of Lia and Hawk. I love the feel of reading two separate yet completely entwined stories. The author seamlessly blends the two points of view without ever repeating unnecessary details. I am completely engrossed with Lia’s love life! I so think she should pick….wait, I can’t tell you! Not until you've read it yourself!
The reader gets to see more of Lia’s Vixen and Angel in this book. Those two are seriously fun and seriously relateable! Every girl should be as in touch with their Vixen and Angel!
Hawk’s perspective keeps the reader on edge and constantly trying to figure out his next move. The hardest part about reading this book was that I moved right in the middle of reading it! After moving all day (and wanting to do nothing more than read this book), I finally snuggled into bed and was ready to read, but my body was so exhausted, I couldn’t! It. Was. Miserable! I started sneaking away to read when I should have been working!
I highly recommend this novel. It is not a stand-alone. It is necessary to read the first novel for the background knowledge, but completely worth it!
So the first book in this series was probably one of my favourite reads of 2017 and I literally have been waiting on the edge of my seat for this one and it was beyond my expectation. This author absolutely killed it with Knights Who Stole My Heart! I knew that I had to clear my entire day to be able to read it and I’m so glad I did – my eyes did not leave my kindle once during the time it took me to read. I absolutely loved everything about it! Everything I loved and hated in book 1 I still felt the same in this book! Amelia was still a hit and miss character for me; she just had this weird way of belonging in the world which worked for her. I still loved Robbins and those point of view chapters from Hawke kept me on the edge of my seat! I don’t know how I can find him so creepy but captivating at the same time! And where did Aiden come from? *swoon*!! Book 3 cannot come quick enough for me!!!! This series just keeps getting better and better! I definitely recommend it!!
I enjoyed the first book and was enraptured by the second. I feel like the author really found her groove with the characters for the second book. Some very unexpected plot developments. I cannot even imagine what will happen next as the series continues. Great book.
There's a definite evolution in Sonya Jesus' writing between Knights After My Heart and Knights Who Stole My Heart. I feel like you get a better look into Lia's head, so I can better relate to her internal struggle between her Angel and Vixen.
I really feel for the pressure she faces, and I think most women, and probably a good deal of men, will related to it as well.
Knights Who Stole My Heart has some fun, light-hearted moments, but also goes to some very dark, and somewhat unexpected, places.
There are some great elements of mystery woven into the narrative, almost adding a "whodunnit" feel to the book that keeps you thinking.
Poor Lia is in for a rough journey in book 3, but I'm eagerly awaiting that installment. I highly recommend this book, this whole series, really, to anyone who enjoys romance or mystery books.
I loved this book maybe more then the first one its super close. I am loving Sonya Jesus writing. I was hooked a couple pages in. I could not put this book down. Its real page turner, you have to know what is gonna happen next. I am suffering from a awful book hangover. Thanks for that Sonya Jesus! This book is no different from book one I was on the edge of my seat almost this whole book. This is a MUST READ Guys I cant stress that enough. If you are looking for an amazing book that will have you forgetting you have a husband, kids, and a house to clean. This book is for you! Poor Amelia has her hand full listening to what her heart wants. I found myself thinking I want to be just like her when I grow up(that may never happen lol)!
OMG!!!! Loved this book, love this series!!! The ending of this one shocked the bejesus out of me!!! I,can't wait until book 3, seriously!!! A MUST read!!
Oh My God! This author is absolutely amazing! This is the second book of the series and the mystery is even bigger than before. Lia’s life is more complicated and Hawk is more than ever decided to make her his. This story doesn’t let you breathe or anticipate something. Every page is even better than the last one. The book develops beautifully and the way it drowns you into it is incredible. It’s even better than the first one; the author really pushes your limits and imagination. Amazing work! Loved it! Thank you for the opportunity to read this book!
Sonya keeps bringing more and more suspense to this seemingly innocent storyline (see book one of you haven’t already, you MUST!) and I am so ready to read the third when it’s time! Beautiful descriptions and intricate characters with real depth and interest. Not to mention, the devious sex appeal to Hawk is almost too much 😉 I still say I need more Dylan ❤️ Sonya keep up the absolute AMAZING work!!!
This is the second book in the Knights series. I was hooked after reading a few pages unable to put the book down. I like how in this book Aiden Keys finally comes into play making Lías love life yet more complicated but intriguing. Also, I liked that there are some twists to the story which kept me wanting to read more. Looking forward to the 3rd book!
This is the second book in the series and even better than the first. I liked the 1st one but am in love with this one. From the beginning it kept me sucked in and unable to put it down. this book has mystery all the way through it. Now I have to just patiently wait for book 3.
Knights Who Stole My Heart is the second book in the Knight Series by Sonya Jesus, and it is a suspenseful romance that ends with cliffhanger. The book is a continuation of the first book, Knights After My Heart, that ended in a very suspenseful cliffhanger. The story continues being told in alternating perspectives, which is from Amelia's and Hawk's points of view. It begins with Amelia continuing to date Connor, or as he is called by almost everyone else, “The Freshman”. She is extremely upset because her best friend, Christopher, or “Robins” as she has nicknamed him, hasn't talked to her in two weeks. He decided that they shouldn't be as close as they have always been so that they can give Amelia a real chance to have a relationship with Connor, (even though Robins can't stand him), and also so that Robins' girlfriend, Meg, won't be so jealous of Amelia. Meg is the captain of the cheerleaders and has always been really mean to Amelia, who is also a cheerleader, because of she is jealous of Amelia's and Robins' close friendship. Also the “Soccer gods”, as Amelia calls the guys on the soccer team, are still hanging around with Amelia and have become very flirtatious, which has Amelia extremely confused. Aiden, the soccer team's captain, who was always quite rude to Amelia in the past, has suddenly become really interested in Amelia, and has her even more confused. Amelia's prankster is still following her around campus, calling her and just breathing into the phone, and leaving her weird presents, which has her very nervous.
Hawk is still obsessed with Amelia and calls her his “Queen”. He continues to plot a future relationship with Amelia, and is becoming quite concerned about all of the males who are suddenly showing their romantic interest in her. Hawk is even dating one of Amelia's roommates just so that he can keep an eye on her. Hawk is a jealous guy, and would even resort to murder to get what he wants.
This book is wonderful, and I couldn't put it down! I was anxiously awaiting for this novel to finally come out, and Sonya Jesus certainly did not disappoint me. I actually think that this book is better than the first, (and I gave that one 5 stars, by the way), and the ending of this book left me shocked! As I mentioned before this book is another cliffhanger, and now I'm going to go crazy until the next book in this series comes out! Obviously I highly recommend this book, but just make sure that you've read the previous novel so that you can understand what is going on. It is very much worth it!
Knights Who Stole My Heart : Knights Series Book 2 by Sonya Jesus 4 Stars
This is the second boo of the Knights Series. I highly recommended reading the first book, Knights After My Heart, first. It ends in a cliff hanger and this book picks up where the first one left off. This review my contain spoilers from the first book. This book also ends in a huge cliff hanger with lots of unanswered questions. I can't wait to read the next book to get all my questions answered. This is a dark read with lots of twists and turns. Amelia is naive and it shows more and more as this story progresses. Her freshman boyfriend continues to put on the pressure and she is torn. New light is shown on the kind of person Connor is and Amelia is in the dark. She is confused in all matters of the heart. Her inner Vixen and her inner Angel continue to fight and argue over all the love interests in her life. Amelia struggles with the decision on who to choose and changes her mind constantly. Light is shed on who the people in her life truly are. This book dives further into who the characters are. Revelations are revealed to the reader while Amelia is sheltered from most of this knowledge. Sonya only reveals enough about each character to keep the reader curious and on the edge. She is good at building each character and peeling back the layers to divulge each character's personality bits at a time. Just like in real life, the reader gets to know more about each character as the story progresses. Once I got used to her style of writing, I was intrigued and couldn't wait to read more of the story. Hawk's plans are outlined in this story. The reader gets to know him better in this book. He has a strange way of trying to win Amelia's heart. He true my believes he's a contender for Amelia's heart along with Connor, Robbins, Aiden, Dylan, and others who come and go. This adult contemporary suspense isn't like any other book I've read. The plot is unique and the style of writing keeps the reader in suspense and interested in what is going on. I recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and diving head first into this series. Be patient with the first book, as the story progresses, you won't be able to put it down!
Knights Who Stole My Heart by Sonya Jesus is the second book in her Knight Series, and this was a fantastic follow up in this series! Knights Who Stole My Heart continues right where book one, Knight After My Heart, left off which made for a great reading experience. We again get to see Amelia and how she is dealing with the attention that is bestowed upon her from all of the men in her life. She is noticing that the males around her are having a hard time staying away and it is making her curious as to why this happening. This book is told in a dual perspective much like the first book, giving the reader a chance to see how both Amelia and Hawk are seeing things, and while Hawk isn’t dating Amelia he wants to and is willing to do just about anything to get her to see that they are meant to be together. Amelia is still dating Connor, and her relationship with Robins’ is put into jeopardy because of her rival Meg, who is on the same cheerleading squad as her. The tension is tight between Amelia and Meg, but she is attempting to make the best of it. Hawk’s obsession with her is a bit concerning, but not as much as the attitude change of the soccer captain, Aiden. Keeping them all at arm’s length seems to be the only recourse for Amelia, until she can wrap her mind around what is happening around her. Being Hawk’s “Queen” is a little odd, but she knows that she can only push Hawk so far as he is willing to resort to murder to get what he wants in the end. Jesus is a newer to me author, but I am so glad that I took a chance on this series with book one and not book two. I could not put this one down, it has been such a great ride to get to see how Sonya and everyone has grown and matured from each book. The storyline kept be enthralled from page one, and the suspense was enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to read book 3 as I just can’t get enough of Hawk and Amelia. If you are looking for a new author, or just a fantastic series, than this is the one that you need to add to your list today!
First and foremost, this is not a standalone novel. It is book two of the Knights Series by Sonja Jesus. The first one, Knights After My Own Heart, was my first read by Sonja Jesus and I was pretty impressed. I was waiting to get this next book to see where we go from the first ones cliffhanger. I felt like the writing progressed well and was a bit better written in Knights Who Stole My Heart. This part of the story continues with Lia in a predicament over her love life. She knows in her heart who she should be with, but just can’t seem to convince her mind to make a logical decision for anything. I must admit that this whole stubborn and indecisiveness from Lia gets a bit old for me. I was glad that I persevered and read through the story because you do get somewhere with this.
Hawk is definitely a character POV that was portrayed very well in this book. He will stop at nothing to win the heart of his Queen, but will he go too far? What happens when Lia is put in danger? Another favorite part of mine was the mystery and suspense part of the story. I spent the whole book trying to guess what was coming, and I failed at every point. Sonja Jesus definitely writes a strong suspense plot line.
This also ends in another cliffhanger. One that will hook you into wanting to read that third book, just to find out how the whole relationships resolve themselves, and the mystery of what is to come for Lia. I imagine that it will be violent battle for her.
Overall four stars was a fitting description for this book. It was eventful enough and had the strong points that pull you in. However, there were the parts that felt overplayed and a bit annoying. I can see the strength of the author getting better with each book, so I am sure the next one will be a bit more evolved than even this one was.
Knights Who Stole My Heart: Knights Series Book 2 By: Sonya Jesus 5 out of 5 stars
The story Knights Who Stole My Heart: Knights Series Book 2 is a new adult/romance/suspense book. It is the next book in a series that hooked me in and I was excited when I saw that the next story was out. Amelia is still not sure about the relationship that she is now in and how far she is willing to go in order to keep it alive. She has an inner conflict as she tries to navigate what her true feelings on the situation are. She does value the friendships she has with others. There are situations that Amelia finds herself in that are strange and has her wondering what is going on. Hawk is still obsessed with Amelia. He is having to deal with new threats to his plans and his character seems to be becoming more unraveled as the story progresses. How far is Hawk willing to go in order for the plans he has to succeed? Will he make his move? Although there are strange situations that Amelia finds herself in she doesn’t seem to think that she is any danger. Amelia also doesn’t always realize the effect that she has on others, especially other guys. She is someone that doesn’t always know how to handle relationships and she also has to deal with those that are jealous of her. Hawk is a character that manipulates others so that the agenda he has will succeed. When things don’t go the way that he expects he becomes more unstable than he usually is. This is a story that has many characters and I found myself wondering what was going to happen next. This is an author who is a wonderful writer and has created s story and characters that you will not soon forget. This is a series that I would recommend reading in order and one that you will not want to miss out on.
NOOOOOO!!!!! That’s my reaction for the ending of this story…that is all I can say.
The rest of this story is O.M.G!
Connor
Robins
Hawk
Aiden
Dylan
Mason
Gavin
The rest of the soccer gods. You would think with all of these guys that Lia would be sleeping with any of them but no she holds on to her beliefs of being in love and ready for that kind of commitment. No your classic college girl.
Amelia/Lia
Mel
Harper
Avery
Haley
Meg
Jamie
There are so many characters in this story. But that is a good thing because it could be anyone causing problems for Lia. Of course, other than herself and her indecisions. There are so many mean girls and horny guys that there is bound to be some friction. I really liked this story. In fact, the action was even better than the first book, which I liked as well. In order to even know what is going on in this story you must start with book one. You will NEED to read book one. Just like after reading this book you will NEED book three and four and five? Will this mystery of Lia and someone else really come to a conclusion? I can’t even imagine where this adventure will go!
Lia has a stalker or two in this story and while sometimes a stalker can be flattering, sometimes it can be down-right scary. We already know Hawk is one of her stalkers from book one, but is he really dangerous or just a little delusional? I’m leaning towards a lot delusional. How can one Queen have so many Knights and still not find her King!?
This story is well written, not for the faint of heart and highly recommended!
How come no one is talking about this book on Bookstagram? How is this not a movie or a TV show? This is one of my best reads ever!
The suspense, the thrilling, the evolving characters, the depth in the psychological tricks. I've never read something that felt like this. Like a chess game where you have to think hard about your next move or the next word that is coming out of your mouth. I'm impressed. Seriously, impressed.
Last book, I felt writing was a bit lacking, but I had faith it would get better, and it did get so much better with this one here. There were some typos, but they don't bother me at all.
Amelia's feelings for Robins are deep and the way she expresses them in her thoughts were so beautiful I almost cried.
"He’s embedded so deep inside my heart I couldn’t even cut it open to find the vein he wedged himself into. He’s ingrained in me. Infiltrated every crevice of my heart to the point that he’s lodged in my DNA. He’s like a virus that evaded by defense system, caused irrevocable damage, and now there’s no cure. He’ll be with me until the day I die."
"Robins lives inside my heart; if it breaks, then he can escape and I much rather he be trapped inside forever."
Just WOW. This book was perfection for me.
Hawk is getting seriously unhinged, and I swear if he harms Robins I will lose it. Can't wait to see what he will be becoming.
I loved the way he worms into people conversations and wins the trust of the people around him. It gives you another view and perspective out of situations and people. He is really smart, if he wasn't obsessed with Amelia and harming innocent people, I would totally love him. (I love him as a character, but I hate him as a person, if it makes sense).
And oh Aiden!!! He won me with that "I wouldn't mess with her feelings" and the date proposition. THAT IS THE WAY YOU TREAT A GIRL!
I love Robins and Amelia together, but I think she is right when she says she and him would not work. He is not worthy of her, and it hurts to realize that because I would love them to be together.
Back to Amelia... I seriously love this girl. Probably my favorite FMC.
Knights Who Stole My Heart: Knight Series Book 2 by Sonya Jesus is the second book in her Knight series. I highly suggest that you read the first book before this one to help enrich your enjoyment of this series. I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. I enjoy how this author's writing style is such that it pulls you in right from the start. Her characters not only took me on an emotional roller coaster but also took me on some twists and turns that I wanted more from. Her characters are connectable and creative. This story is well written and easy flowing. In this installment Amelia is torn between the old and the new. Her problem is that her heart is yelling at her what it wants but she is confused on what she wants. Each day she seems to want something different. As Hawk starts coming apart, Amelia is just starting to figure out what she truly wants. As his plans start coming together, things start falling into place with Pawns and the King. But the one thing he isn't expecting is that the Queen becomes in danger and the Knights are stealing hearts. I enjoy the characters in this story. I will say that there were a few times I wanted to yell at them asking what they were thinking. There are plenty of characters and little story plots going on here. Each one has their own drama that they pull you into. Then you have Hawke who just seems to sit back along the side lines to watch it all unfold. He is waiting patiently to get his Queen. I highly recommend this book. Find out if Amelia figures out what she wants and which one she goes with.
Knights Who Stole My Heart by Sonya Jesus is an extremely epic 5-star book for me. The This is the second book in the series and it is even more fantastic than the first.
This book was so fantastic to me, there was more mystery and drama and suspense. Sonya’s writing style does it for me, she pulls me right in and I finished this book in a day. With the second book, I grew to like some of the characters more, and some less. Amelia still gets on my nerves with her indecisiveness and the way she is ignorant to the way males look at her. I understand how she thinks like that because she grew up with someone always leaving her.
At one point I really grew to like Aiden and wanted so much for her to be with him, but in my heart, I know her and Christopher aka Robins are truly meant to be. In this book we finally get to see Robins’ true feelings towards Lia and my heart is so happy yet sad because he won’t act on it. When Lia is faced with multiple situations, some deadly and dangerous, all the men she is crushing on and a few more all show up to take her back and protect her.
I still don’t understand Hawk, who he is, where he comes from, and what he wants with Lia. I am also still confused about why he calls himself a king unless he really is one. All the mystery surrounding this character really heightens the suspense.
The ending of this book is a tough one. I saw part of it coming, but it was still a surprise just the same. I am so extra excited to read the next book and would recommend this book to any young adult romance book lover. Sonya Jesus is fantastic!
