4.5 Stars: Olivia Harper lives and works in Seattle. She has a very strained relationship with her mother and her niece. She is also dealing with a bout with PTSD from an episode when she was in a coffee shop and the barista was attacked by a man and she froze and did nothing. She has taken time off work to recover when she gets a call from her best friend in Cape Sanctuary. Her mother has fallen off a ladder and has a broken hip. She needs someone to run the family business and Olivia hops in ...more

First let me say that this cover is stunning! The inviting feel that it evokes is exactly how I felt about the book. In fact, I loved the cover so much that Im in the process of landscaping my back walkway to look just like this one! 🙂

If you are a fan of Thayne, then you will be familiar with some of the characters and certainly the community of Cape Sanctuary. Here we find Olivia, a serious and successful programmer who moved away from Cape Sanctuary years before. Her past there holds tragedy

Enchanting, heartwarming, and touching!

The Sea Glass Cottage is a heartfelt, beguiling story that sweeps you away to the idyllic town of Cape Sanctuary and immerses you into the lives of the Harper family as they confront the past, accept the things they cannot change, repair fractured relationships, take chances, and embrace the future.

The writing is polished and expressive. The characterization is spot on with a whole slew of characters that are relatable, multi-layered, and genuine. And the

Olivia Harper goes back to her hometown, Cape Sanctuary, when her mother, Juliet, falls and cant run the family business. She comes home to an angry fifteen-year-old niece, and her childhood crush, Cooper, now the Fire Chief of Cape Sanctuary.

This is a story of healing between the Harper women, dealing with past tragedy, but also about finding love for both Juliet and Olivia. I do love a story of unrequited romance, and friends turning into more, so I loved both Olivia and Juliets journey!

If youre looking for a comfort food type of read right now you have to give this book a try! RT books provide me with the greatest escape and they always leave me feeling hopeful in the end and I think we all need a little hope right now. This one just came out yesterday but she has an extensive backlist of books as well and I can definitely recommend quite a few if anyone is interested.

This follows a family of strong women as they struggle to reconnect. Olivia goes back home to Cape Sanctuary

The Sea Glass Cottage

I had the pleasure to read this book over the weekend and it totally charmed me. This is the story of three generations of strong-willed women who must come to terms with deep hurts caused by family secrets and find a way to forgive each other. Everyone has regrets but pride gets in the way of finding a resolution. It will take a few major events to start the conversations which will bring healing and forgiveness in this family.

The book is beautifully written, and the love relationships come

I can hardly believe that The Sea Glass Cottage is my first RaeAnne Thayne read. And you guessed it, it won't be my last. I enjoyed this story so very much. There's so much heart in it with forgiveness, family love, overcoming fear, and taking chances all prominent themes unfolding throughout.

Centered on Olivia Harper, her mother Juliet, and her niece Caitlin, we see three generations of Harper women putting aside their differences to be there for each other. But it is a bumpy road and when

Olivia might have been estranged from her mother Juliet, but when Juliet is hurt, Olivia packs up and goes to tend for her. With Olivia's life already being a bit off-balance, the timing certainly isn't good. Now, not only does Olivia wish for Juliet to make a full recovery, it is really hoped that the two can overcome their difficult past.

The Sea Glass Cottage quickly turns into quite a sensitive story, especially when Olivia is dealing with her niece Caitlin, who lost her mother to drugs and

Simply beautiful. The book encapsulated me with its warmth and mystery from the very first scene until the end, bringing with it a delicious happiness at having read a beautiful story of three women, strong yet vulnerable in the secrets they hid. RaeAnne Thayne was one awesome author who could bring joy into my heart at these times to stress.

Olivia was away from home since 12 years, but a call about her mother Juliet's accident brought her back to Cape Sanctuary and Sea Glass Cottage, where her

An ARC was provided to me for free by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've been avoiding writing this review, mostly because I just don't know what to say about this novel.

Listen. I love inter-generational stories. Give me all the stories about daughters, mothers, and grandmothers, and all the tension and secrets and identity crises between them. (I just realized the trend for these stories is usually an all-female trio, when a male, non-binary, or mixed cast of

In this case Olivia is estranged from her mother when she gets that horrible call her mom is in the hospitable.

So she heads to the off for what was to be a few months stay to the gorgeous Cape Sanctuary.
A sudden flood of negative memories come flooding in concerning her mother but also her older sister Natalie who

This is the story of three generations of women in the same family that have not been close at all over the past few years, but are thrown back together when the family matriarch Juliet has extensive injuries on the job. Juliet has been raising her teenage granddaughter Caitlin since Caitlin's mother died. Let me start by stating that I generally love RaeAnne Thayne's novels, especially her Haven Point series, and I wish I could the same about The Sea Glass Cottage, but, for a number of reasons, I simply cannot, and the best I can do is give it a 2-star rating.

I can usually read a novel of this length is one or two nights, but it took me a week to get through this one because I found that page after page after page, nothing of any significance happened. Olivia, the heroine, and I use that term

Another charming and heartwarming story from RaeAnne Thayne! The Sea Glass Cottage follows three generations of women coming to terms with their past and finding love for their future. As she gets closer, difficult memories return of her older sister who died of a drug overdose and left behind a daughter, ...more

Ms. Thayne certainly has a winner with The Sea Glass Cottage. She has delved into many different types of relationships in this book. She explores mother/daughter, big sister's best friend, man/woman best friend, women's best friend, extended family and man/woman (just to name a few-ha!). She has somehow taken what appears above to be a royal mess and blended them all into a message of love and forgiveness that certainly resonated with me.
The book was full of secrets--some intentional, some

WTF Are You Reading?
Things ended nicely. Especially once the secrets were out. Although there was not nearly enough time between said secrets and revelations and the end of the book. The overlapping father, aunt turned stepmother thing that happened with Caitlin Cooper and Olivia. Sweet but weird.
That would be the best way to sum up this book.
Sweet but weird. Very Hallmark.

Thank you Harlequin Books for allowing me to participate in The Sea Glass Cottage Blog Tour! I was given a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first RaeAnne Thayne novel but definitely not my last!

This book was all female, mostly all of the time. There were many female characters, Liv, her niece and her mother, with whom she has a stressed relationship with. Sometimes, I would think this would be too much drama going on, but I think RaeAnne Thayne did a phenomenal job

I'm a sucker for cozy and generational stories. Reading: The Sea Glass Cottage felt like reading one of my other fave authors. Debbie Macomb, whose stories give you all the feels The Sea Glass Cottage has.

I loved how the whole story came together with so much happiness at the end. So many descriptive comments in the story. Read the story you will love the story.

***I received a copy of this via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***

RaeAnny Thayne has written a lovely novel about three generations of women who struggle with their pasts and family relationships. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed this light and quick read. This is a story of healing, sharing, honesty, family, and love. It was a little too soap opera-like for my taste, which is why I knocked off a star on my review, otherwise, it's a good, happy

RaeAnne is one of the many favorite authors I have. When I was reading this I couldn't put the book down. It was a page turner with emotional parts that seemed to bring a family that fell apart back together. After loosing a dad because of a fire call and then a sister to an addiction. Olivia Harper felt like she had lost her mother because mom had to work at the Harper Hill & Garden shop Olivia felt like she had to be the perfect child. Help out around the house and she felt like she lost ...more

I'm not one of those people who knew from birth she was destined to become a writer. I always loved to read and throughout my childhood I could usually be found with a book in my hands. To the disgust of my friends, I even enjoyed creative writing assignments that made them all groan. But I had other dreams besides writing. I wanted to be an actress or a teacher or a lawyer.
