This is a romance that is way to cute and fun. I loved the characters in this book, and I loved getting to know all the characters including the dogs/puppies in this book. This book was a fun read and a great way to get lost in a book. I grow up in the outer banks of NC. I love books that is set in North Carolina, and this book did not let me down. I cannot say how much I really enjoy reading this book. If you are looking for a fun and cute romance then you should check this book out. The beginn ...more

Slow burn, sweet, heartfelt, feel good romance with the same sweet taste of cheerful, hopeful, chic lit Hallmark movies!

Two heartbroken people’s paths are crossed in a dilapidated inn. Paige Parker is career oriented, married with a job kind of Chicago girl, nursing her feelings after bad breakup from fiancée. And her assistant forces her to take a break to relax in a cozy inn. Paige gets impressed with ads and finally agrees to pay triple to get away from the city during Valentine’s Day.

This book was….not it for me. It’s marketed as an opposite attraction and I see the opposite thing. I just couldn’t see the attraction because it was none-existent. Their relationship was very underdeveloped in my opinion and I found myself not really invested in whether they got together or not, which made the last chapter very unrealistic for me.

Everything about the characters was also very surface level, they didn’t feel real enough for me to sympathize with them or feel connected to them, we

You want to know a real effed up side effect of 2020? I wanted this book because it featured a professional organizer. And even worse, I was severely disappointed there was more organizing discussed and instead it got glossed over. I mean, I was for realsies waiting for my 1980s movie montage moment . . . .

Because I am down to only one closet in my own house left to purge.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. Happy Singles Day is the story of all work and no play Paige who sort of gets strong-ar

Ann Marie Walker's Happy Singles Day is a feel-good rom-com about two people who say they’re fine being single. (Yeah, sure.)

Paige knows how to take control of chaos. As a certified professional organizer, she helps her clients get their clutter under control and find peace with the more-organized version of themselves.

Ironically, the only thing Paige doesn’t have control over is her love life. Well, she does have control, in that she isn’t interested in having one. She’s combatted lonelines

Woman's Fiction : ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay so I had to push my way though there at the begining. I was just not identifying with our heroine AND our hero left much to be desired but I stuck it through and it turned out fine.

My biggest problem here was what my issue always is with a romantic type book that has a child in it; (why!? are they here) I get that kid is not only there to further the plot and make the hero seem more lovable and human but when the child isn't written like a real kid it just all but r

I wanted to love this book. The premise, the cover... I was expecting to like this. But this book was just not for me.

This book is an opposites attracts romance between the main characters Paige and Lucas. Paige is presented as a badass business woman. She has her own company, working as a personal organizer, and she's the typical sort of married-to-the-job, take-no-bullshit, big city woman. And she's also kind of nursing her broken heart after s

Get out! I have Goosebumps and I probably should send Ann Marie Walker an email full of emojis because she gave me such an incredible book that I love so much and devoured in hours. This book tells the story of a single girl Paige who works hard (don't we all) and has the perfect and funny assistant who books herself a single vacation because uhmm she is awesome and we all need that. She books herself into this inn that hasn't been functional for a while with a partly grumpy hottie. If one of you ...more

Heartwarming, amusing, and delectably charming!

Happy Singles Day is a lighthearted, absorbing tale set on the idyllic Aurelia Island that takes you into the lives of Paige Parker, a workaholic who after having her heart shattered by a cheating ex has spent far too many hours working and not enough hours enjoying life, and Lucas Croft, an innkeeper and widowed father of a five-year-old who is still struggling with the unexpected loss of his wife and his all-consuming grief that is preventing him

I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars, but I think it’s closer to 4! I’ve been wanting to read this book since I saw the cover and read the blurb, so when I got the arc I started immediately.

This book has most of all the things I love in a romance book: The cutest kid ever, a second chance at love, two people finding love when they want to be as far as relationships as possible, puppies, and a storm that makes them both to stay indoors. So, yeah, I rea

Thank you to Sourcebooks and Netgalley for a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This book doesn't come out for a while but it looks too cute not to start ASAP! It's a quick read filled with chemistry. Based on the build up, I thought it would be open door but it's not - it's not a bad thing but if you were looking for an open door steamy romance, this one is not for you. Instead, it's a fun opposites attract, forced proximity romance. It's about two characters getting over their p

Happy Singles Day was all kinds of cute. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this book turned into a movie just because of how cute the romance actually was. I also had no idea that this is an actual day that people can celebrate? Lol.

In it, you will meet Paige and Lucas. Both have their hearts broken and don't really know how to deal with it. Paige lives in Chicago and is basically married to her job. Which isn't a bad thing but the girl needed a break. A girlcation if you please. So she decid

This book was a wish granted. I was so excited. I had seen a lot of people talking about it on Instagram as well. I am sad to say I was not one of the many who loved this book. It was very cute, but I did gush the way I do with some romances. It was just an average romance I quickly forgot about, making way for other books on my pile and leaving this one as a single memory I will soon forget.

After her relationship imploded, Paige immersed herself in her work-life for years, but with Valentine's Day around the corner, she was looking for an escape. As a way to celebrate Singles Day, she booked a room at B&B on the Outer Banks. The B&B wasn't quite what she expected, but ended up being exactly what she needed.

I love when a book surprises me! I expected a rom-com, which this was, but I never anticipated it would result in an avalanche of emotions. My heart was tugged, pushed, pulled,

This was absolutely adorable! I really enjoyed the humor and the constant banter between Lucas and Paige. I'm usually not a huge fan of kids in romances, but Maddie was such a ray of sunshine and really added to the story (and don't even get me started on the cuteness that was the puppies). The story and characters kept me engaged from the very beginning, and I love how Paige's quirkiness helped bring Lucas out of his shell, and how they both showed each other that it was okay to trust and love ...more

Okay, this one was so cute. What a perfect, light romance to read. I adored Paige and the values that she stood by. I loved the setting and the side characters of the book too. Maddie was such a loveable character and really added to the book. The puppies were such a sweet addition as well. Who doesn't love reading about puppies.

So many parallels in our lives. Paige Parker is a successful 'Chaos Coordinator' - which means not only is she super organized, but she doesn't have time for a vacation...or love. When her assistant

Happy singles day was a quick romance story that many will enjoy. I liked the characters and the settings and many times i felt like day dreaming the place because i love a coast small town.
Probably the most enthusiastic fact that i loved in this book was the real feeling of an adult woman that is in her thirties and doesn't have or want to change just because she meets a nice guy that fits more to her personality.
And i love Lucas so much, a wounded hero that is trying his best to be better an

This is a book all Romance fans should read and I will keep recommending it for a long time.
First, I have to say the whole concept of "You should not change your plans for a guy" is something we need to start teaching kids. While love means compromise and being in love is not a weakness, we should all know it also means we're going to love the other person exactly
