Pippin No Drippin' encourages the use of children’s imaginations and that with a little bit of ingenuity, anyone can create something fun to do. Pippin the cat can't go outside because it's raining and it's making him blue. His mama suggests he use his imagination to find something to do. Spying an ad featuring a loud and colorful marching band, he sets forth to create a "one cat band" with items he finds around the house. A fun, colorful item from the first book Pippin No Lickin’ even makes an appearance! Pippin No Drippin' culminates in an impromptu performance for Pippin's parents and the realization that even a rainy day can be fun when you put your mind to it!
LAYNE IHDE is a self-described "crazy cat guy" that lives in Nashville, TN with his wife and two kitties, a white tabby named Lizzie (for "Elizabeth Bennett Princess Kitty Ihde"), and brand new kitten Pip (short for "Pippin" and also "Pip The Squeak"). He writes all different kinds of stories: children's books, songs, short stories, poems and is even working on a novel. He is a member of a kids' rock band called The Happy Racers, you can find out more about them at www.thehappyracers.com. As the site evolves, he may add pages for other stories and poems and possibly even some of the music he has created.
Layne once had a cat named Pippin. When he called, Pippin would come just like a dog. He could run really fast. He loved to play in the snow. He had a fun personality and Layne loved him very much. Layne knew that someday he would write all about Pippin's adventures. That day is here.
Fun little book written in rhyme. It’s a bout a little cat that isn’t happy because it’s raining and Pippin wants to go outside. Pippin comes to terms with the situation and decides to make his own fun. He searches the house high and low, gathers some things and creates a drum set. Before long Pippin is drumming away making some awesome music for him and his family. Finally he realizes that he can make his own fun when it rains, it’s no big deal after all.
