Best of the trilogy, but still just okay. I did like Rhett and Peyton's relationship the best of the three couples. Maybe that was because there was no history, so that wasn't being gone over again and again. There was a whole lot less running around in this book too. Didn't see that bad guy coming. ...more

Though this is the third book in the Pretty Thieves series, it's the first book of this author I've tried and it can totally be read as a stand-alone.

So I didn't know this was part of a trilogy, so I am not too sure If I am missing anything. However this book was a train ride, I mean we have suspense and action from the get go. Straight Shooter is the third book in the Pretty Thieves Series. This is my first book by Samantha Keith but I can guarantee this will not be my last.
Although Straight Shooter is part of a series it can be read as a standalone however I think it would be beneficial to read the books in order to help understand the dynamics between the characters. Saying that, I did just dive straight into Straight Shooter but I can not wait to go back and read the other books in the series.

Peyton is a thief and Rhett is a FBI agent – they are worlds apart, but as they get tangled up in the same case, Rhett is forced to protect her as her life in continuously threatened. Pretty Thieves #1 was my first experience reading this author's work and she impressed me with the first book so much that I had to read the second and third books and they've just gotten better and better! This was the first book I read from the author and it was nonstop excitement. Peyton is a thief who was helping her friend steal something from a corrupt senator. While there are attempted rape scenes in this one it doesn't take away from the sweet romance that develops between Peyton and Rhytt. Short, fast pace sexy romance with just enough action to keep suspense readers intrigued. Like all of Samantha Keith the stories move along fast pace than a choice or action a character does causes the whole story to come to a halt. The romance is steamy and takes over most of the short under 200 page book. The story is a stand alone novel. Reader will not need to play catch up from the other two books in the series.

A very dynamic story about an FBI agent and a beautiful and smart thief. I have not read the previous books in this series but this one can be read separately. Samantha Keith is a new author for me and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely continue to follow her work and this book receives 4 stars. Thank you for this opportunity, you made my day more beautiful in these stressful times.
This was a fast paced action romance novel. A quick read with all the feelings of watching a movie. I did enjoy how everything was going and the pace was solid. The story revolves around Peyton, a thief and Rhett, a FBI agent and how their tangled encounter leaves both of them running from danger while trying to survive. I liked the couple and liked how the story tied everything up in the end.

The plot was very good and developed and the characters were strong and worked well together too.

Peyton is a thief and has been hired to steal information from a senator. She sneaks on board his yacht but before she can get the letter, she’s caught. Rhett is a FBI agent and undercover as a bodyguard for the senator. When Rhett finds some of the other guards are about to rape her, he steps in.
