I love most of the context of what makes up his book. Many of them I have read in other psychology books. I feel that the Japanese population could use a lot of these studies to help them understand themselves better, thus creating a more meaningful or fulfilling life. Possibly even lower the suicide rate.
I wish he wouldn’t bring up his “accomplishments” as much as he does. A lot of what he says are not relatable. The number of books he reads fluctuates at one point which makes me think he’s just exaggerating.
In the end I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone unless there are no other books that talk about the psychological studies that he brings up, which there are plenty of.
