Very good with intriguing plot lines

The first two books in the League Of Gallize Shifters series are in this boxed set, and both stories are imaginatively creative with characters whose traits are distinctly unique. Dianna Love has created numerous fascinating adventures for these individuals to experience, where lives are often on the line and danger is ever present. With situations that are riveting plus lots of surprising developments, there was never a time when each book did not keep my mind fully engaged.
GRAY WOLF MATE
For her first venture in writing a paranormal book, Dianna Love has created a story overflowing with vividly imagined scenes. The League of Gallize Shifters series is definitely original in many areas, and I was totally intrigued during every compelling incident. From characters with unique capabilities to escapades where the situations are not the norm, I was constantly captivated because the details were always fascinating and held my complete attention. GRAY WOLF MATE is a truly ground-breaking paranormal romance. Ms. Love is a writer who can conceive an innovative idea, and then cleverly bring it to life for readers to enjoy.
I was certainly excited when I learned Dianna Love was writing in a new genre, and GRAY WOLF MATE never disappoints as the inventiveness of the story only increases with each new development. The Gallize shifters are so distinctive when it comes to beings that can change shapes, and I would like to think there would actually be such a group watching over humans if one day the supernatural proves to be factual. Numerous individuals with specific abilities related to their species left me in awe at times, especially since many of their gifts are ones which I have never before encountered in a book. Also, many of the different groups mentioned are very unusual, whether they are comprised of humans or preternaturals with unusual origins.
From the very beginning, I was taken with how ethical Cole was regardless of what he attempted. Despite abruptly losing what was most important to him, he accepted his destiny to protect others and rose above all the challenges that came his way. Tess likewise had to overcome plenty of hurdles when she decided to use her degree to make certain all beings are treated fairly, as she has a good reason to not like shifters. She and Cole are compassionate individuals, and it really shows in how they react to one another or even strangers. While they may have been apart for years, it only takes one touch for sentiments thought buried to resurface. When truths come out, I feared their already shaky relationship may not last. Several tense moments caused an adrenaline rush, while the scenes depicting profound feelings deeply touched me. What an emotional journey Ms. Love devised for this couple.

He is also a loyal friend and fierce fighter when needed, plus has a wicked sense of humor. All his traits are very apparent when he becomes a bodyguard to Elianna, especially his caring side. I saw Justin as such a wonderful hero, as he puts others first regardless of the cost to himself.
When he and Elianna have a discussion, sparks really do fly. Both are lively conversationalists, and I loved the many ways that she responded to something he said since not all English words were understood. I really felt for her as so much of her life had been a challenge, and my admiration just kept increasing when I saw how she would react to various situations. These two discover much about each other which has them yearning for more, but I could not see a workable solution for them without plenty of problems to solve. If a dangerous incident arose, I was held in suspense until the event played out, and Ms. Love certainly gave Justin and Elianna several perilous threats to face. MATING A GRIZZLY skillfully balances suspense, the paranormal, and numerous romantic elements to create an engrossing read on every page.

This review is for both Gray Wolf Mate and Mating a Grizzly. I really enjoyed this boxed set. Since this is a review of both books, I'll review some of the things I that were common in both then review each book individually.
Both books are standalones, but are part of a larger shifter universe that has a common cast of characters with some interwoven plotlines. The box set, ebook and audio, includes books 1 and 2 of the series and you could have read book 2 without having read book 1. The author does a great job explaining the mythology behind the Gallize Shifters and the background you need to pick up the second book without having read the first. I hope this continues with the rest of the series. I'm not a new reader of Dianna Love's and she's always done a good job making sure there is continuity within the series. Both of these books get pretty steamy at times so if you are looking for a good paranormal romance with some heat, check this series out. This series is a bit different than other shifter series as not all of the characters shift into the same animal and the animals they turn into have their own personalities. I thought that was a nice touch and something different that you don't normally see in PNR. Both the shifter and their animal have to develop as characters through the story and I thought Love did a really good job making sure the personality of the human and the animal side got ample time for the reader to get to know them and develop. I also appreciate that the women in this story are just as powerful as the men. So far they each have abilities and strengths of their own as well as being intelligent and fierce. The couples compliment each other and make each other stronger.
Gray Wolf Mate - This is a second chance romance featuring a wolf shifter, Cole. Cole belongs to a sort of black ops organization of elite shifters who have powers above and beyond the normal shifter. His college sweetheart, Tess, works for a government organization that studies shifters in an attempt to protect humans. Tess is an extremely fair person so she wants to make sure that the law extends to shifters as well as humans. Cole left her when he found out he was a shifter, knowing that would not sit well with her family. Neither of them have gotten over each other, so when a case brings them back together they have to work together to solve the case and work through their feelings for each other.
Mating a Grizzly - This was actually my favorite of the two books. The narrator did a better job distinguishing between the characters in my opinion than in the first book. There was also a lot more humor in this book than the first one. The bear personalities of Justin and Elianna added some whimsy to the book that really came through in the narration. As you can tell Justin and Elianna are both bear shifters. He works with Cole from book 1 as a member of the Gallize, that black ops elite special forces group of shifters. Elianna is a bastard and an outcast because of her mixed blood. She makes a deal with her father to move to America to protect her brother, and Justin is tasked with protecting her. The two of them immediately don't get along because of their preconceived notions about one another, but they quickly have to get over their issues when it becomes clear that someone is after Elianna.
I really enjoyed this boxed set. I had a hard time putting it down once I got started with the audiobook. I think I listened to both books in 2 days. I'm looking forward to catching up on the rest of the series and finding out about the other members of the Gallize and their mates.

Gray Wolf Mate:
Stephen Thorne does a wonderful job at telling the story that Dianna Love has written. The perfect tones for Cole and the others in the group as he brings the story to life for all of us to enjoy. I'm very pleased with his voice and reading skills.
This story is about shifters, but their not normal shifters, their Gallize, and they seem to be a bit more special than what we're use too in books. This story takes us to where shifters have been outed to normal humans, and now the world for shifters hiding in the dark is no longer possible. The government has a special unit that solves paranormal crimes, and Tess, Coles true love is in that unit.
Cole is a wolf shifter, a gallize one at that. When trouble comes, he figures he needs to protect the woman that he loves, and leave her again. Things just aren't that simple for Cole though because his wolf doesn't want to leave Tess. Cole is a different type of character, trying to be in a pack but having a lone wolf complexity acting like it's fine if he does things as long as others are safe. He gets put into a sticky situation with Tess and have to work with her, and the hurt he caused her in order to try and save everyone.
Tess isn't a bend the knee type woman. She does seethe over things that happen even she is angry about them. She's worked hard to get where she is and trying to figure out the shifter pack who killed her mother. When she runs into Cole again, the evidence says one thing but her heart says another. Trusting him will take time, trying to go through the hurt that she was put through by Cole and the misinformation to show he is innocent is another thing. She's got her hands full especially with the political side of things trying to go into play.
All in all this book is wonderful, and fun to listen too. Dianna Love writes it beautiful as everything flows nicely and smoothly together. There's not a lot of hiccups and things are kept secret and start to show more as we see more of the world Dianna has made and is sharing with us in the Gallize series.
Mating a Grizzly:
I love Dianna's writing style when it comes to her shifters. You can tell she writes with her heart in her stories and trying to make sure the reader falls in love as much as she has with her own characters. The book is very well written and put together.
Justin is a Gallize a specail type of shifter who's job is to protect man from other paranormals that threaten the peaceful life of shifters. He gets a call from his old clan that shunned him telling him he needs to escort this russian bear. Justin isn't pleased but accepts and he's dreading on dealing with a pampered princess or so he thinks.
Elianna has had a difficult life, shunned by her father's clan and left alone as fair as she has known. What she didn't know was her father was watching her, and was going to use her for his own personal game. Elianna making a deal to keep a child safe so the child wouldn't be alone. Wasn't the top things on Elianna's list, nor was falling for Justin as he makes her, and her bear rather intrigued. The twists and turns of this gets you, where it's not too much but just the right amount to keep you wanting more.
Stephen R. Thorne does an excellent job at narrating the story. Giving Elianna and her family accents without going overboard and making it sound bad. I'm impressed as some people do a good job and some don't Mr Thorne hits it on the mark. Bringing Dianna's book to life while your only wanting more and can't wait to find out. 10/10 I would reccommend this book to my friends and have gifted it to one!

Review of Gray Wolf's Mate
The world knows that shifters exist. That knowledge has resulted in so much discord and fear. Tess Janver is determined to learn as much as she can about them. She needs to know what really happened when her mother died when she was caught between two battling shifters. After all she lost everything, the man she loved disappeared without a word. Her father's hatred damaged their relationship. She needs to find answers. I was surprised that in spite of her personal tragedy she wants to understand shifters. When a rogue shifter is captured by SCIS, she feels a connection. Why? Cole Cavanaugh is a Gallize shifter. He's loved Tess since college. He broke her heart when he vanished. He couldn't let her know his secret. What a tragic turn of events. I knew that these two belonged together. I didn't think they had a chance to find a way to be together. This new series is an emotional roller coaster that left me drained. Tess and Cole are surrounded by evil that can't be stopped. Death is unavoidable. I cared for the characters. I didn't want hatred to triumph. I felt angry and frustrated. I couldn't stop listening to Gray Wolf's Mate. I felt the might of the destructive forces but I hadn't taken into account the power of love. Dianna Love put me through the wringer. The narration by Stephen R. Thorne added more emotion to this story. I can't wait for the next adventure. I want to see the League of Gallize Shifters triumph.
Review. Of Mating A Grizzly
Mating A Grizzly is an exciting and romantic story about a Gallize Shifter, Justin. He's not happy when the Guardian tells him that his next assignment is to be the bodyguard for a Russian Princess. Elianna is a hybrid bear shifter. Is that why someone wants to kidnap her? Justin will do everything in his power to keep her safe and find out who's behind this attack. Elianna isn't spoiled and cosseted. She's powerful shifter, but most important she's protective and will do what's necessary to keep those she loves safe. I was sorry that others made her ashamed of who she was. I loved the chemistry between Justin and Elianna. They were perfect together. Unfortunately it didn't look like they would become mates. The friends to lovers' trope is a favorite of mine. As always I enjoyed Dianna Love's tale. Her characters are so engaging that they make you want them to find love. The dialogue and the story sizzles. This second book in The Gallize Shifter series kept my reading. I needed answers. The audiobook, thanks to the narration by Stephen R. Thorne, ramps up the tension. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Mating A Grizzly is an exciting and romantic story about a Gallize Shifter, Justin. He's not happy when the Guardian tells him that his next assignment is to be the bodyguard for a Russian Princess. Elianna is a hybrid bear shifter. Is that why someone wants to kidnap her? Justin will do everything in his power to keep her safe and find out who's behind this attack. Elianna isn't spoiled and cosseted. She's powerful shifter, but most important she's protective and will do what's necessary to keep those she loves safe. I was sorry that others made her ashamed of who she was. I loved the chemistry between Justin and Elianna. They were perfect together. Unfortunately it didn't look like they would become mates. The friends to lovers' trope is a favorite of mine. As always I enjoyed Dianna Love's tale. Her characters are so engaging that they make you want them to find love. The dialogue and the story sizzles. This second book in The Gallize Shifter series kept my reading. I needed answers. The audiobook, thanks to the narration by Stephen R. Thorne, ramps up the tension. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I really enjoyed reading this shifter box set, this is the first two books in the 'League of Gallize Shifters' series. I got it for free on Amazon, I'm always looking for new shifter series to read, so worth getting the next books in the series. Author Dianna Love has created a wonderful new world of shifters for her readers. I have found both stories to be creative with fantastic adventures, the world and characters to be well developed. Both stories have wonderful action, romance and suspense. This series so far has kept me entertained and wanting more.
The first book is ' Gray Wolf Mate', this story is a second chance at romance story. Our hero Cole and heroine Tess first met in college. They fell in-love, only to be forced apart. From the beginning I found our hero to be honorable, you would have to be to give up the one thing that means the most important to your heart and world. He is a true warrior, he accepted his destiny to protect the ones who need it. I found Tess to be smart, compassionate to all, shifters included. She has every reason to be cold towards shifters but her heart is gold. Many years later when Cole and Tess cross paths they realize after one touch they are ment for one another, but can Tess live with Cole now being a shifter? Is she strong enough to save Cole and herself?
The second book in this series is 'Mating a Grizzly'. This story had me from the first scene, the author give her readers suspense from the first page. If you read the first book in 'League of Gallize Shifters' you would have been introduced to our hero Justin, he's a big AF bear and as big and fierce as this protector is, he's also a big teddy bear. Justin has excepted that his bear will not take a mate, so he does what he can to help his Gallize brothers. He's loyal to a fault, he will place himself in danger to save others no matter the danger to him, which makes him a great bodyguard. Justin has been assigned to become the bodyguard to Elianna

Well, Ms Dianna Love has introduced another type of amazing shifter, one who is at the top of the predators shifter line, ALL will bow to these guys, make no mistake.
Cole and Tess were college sweethearts, and yet Cole allowed what he became to interfere with the love of his life.
It only took him seven years to begin to understand what a mistake he had made. Can he redeem himself in his mates’ eyes.
Being a Gazille shifter would not make much difference to a woman who has torn herself in two to keep from falling apart, between her father and the love of her life how can she ever trust another man again.

This is a box set of the first two in the LoG Shifters. The first is the story of Cole and Tess who were torn apart when he found out he was a latent wolf shifter. Humans were not happy to find out that these creatures roamed the earth. Now seven years later they have crossed paths and now need to either get closure or find out that they are mates willing to work out the two different worlds they now live in. This is the first book in this series.
The second book is about Justin and Elianna both are bear shifters. He is a Gallize and she is a hybrid cross of polar and grizzly. Both have not had a great childhood. Oh My Gosh! Dianna Love has done it again! The action and suspense just about killed me! I love wolves and shifter stories and Gray Wolf Mate did not disappoint. WOW talk about a sexy shifter! The characters are strong, vibrant and made me want to be a part of their world. I could have kept on reading and I’m thrilled Ms. Love will be coming out with more!

Life as a wolf shifter isn't always easy, especially when you work for a secret "police" force that tries to keep everyone safe, and on top of that add a curse. Find your mate by thirty or die. Could things get much worse? Of course it could. Life is not simple for the Gallize Shifters, but they are proud group of devoted individuals, working together to defeat a band of rogue shifters, while they look out for each other. Interesting characters, suspense and lots of action will keep you listen until the very end. This is a very enjoyable series, looking forward to listening to more of it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review.

This is an exciting book that captured my attention right from the first chapter. The characters are so strong, intelligent, protective and willing to give their all when it's needed. I love reading this story with descriptions so well done, pictures formed in my head as I read. This book is action-packed right from the beginning and is filled with danger, shifters, battles, mystery, villains and heroes! If I was in trouble, I'd want them to rescue me...... they never give up! What would the world be like if shifters were real and the public knew about them?

Of the human population is fearful and distrustful of anyone or thing that is different. Most shifters try to live in balance. A group of enhanced bad shifters try to tear everything apart and a group of super shifters try to protect everyone. This series focuses on these super shifters finding their mates while keeping the world safe.

I am a fan of the author's Belador series, so I was expecting good things in this series. The author did not disappoint - haunted sexy bad boy shifters, feisty headstrong femmes, internal demons, external underground war, political intrigue, magical threats and of course, hard-won true love... revealed in the author's characteristic descriptive yet direct prose. What else could any romance novel lover ask for? How about more?

I originally read these books separately, and fell in love with the Gallize shifter world. What Dianna Love has created is a beautiful and wonderful world, but it isn't without its villains. When this boxset came out, I was so excited as I've read and re-read these books so many times! Any chance to go back into their world I'll take!

Both these books have totally different storylines each, but I can assure you both will keep you gripped in the world of death and destruction like no other, two well designed novels with great outcomes but how they achieved it is in the fun of reading what will keep you intrigued
