The Goldie stories are threads of the greatest love story ever told...
Woven together within the fabric we find ourselves a part of - connected by our breath and the beating of our hearts.
Like strokes of a golden paintbrush, they are glimpses into the ordinary and the wonder of the great storyteller.
This book magnifies the power of his stories and reminds us of the power of ours.
A beautiful illustrated collection of fictional stories about characters in the background of the Bible.

I wasn’t sure what to think of this book at first, seemed a bit sketchy to me to be totally honest but I’m glad I read it and feel like it did me a lot of good.
A collection of short stories based on and concluded with the corresponding passages from the bible.
It was cool to read someone else’s interpretation of well known scripture to see what stood out to her and gain a different perspective.
I think the biggest takeaway for me would be noticing the series of events that lead up to the various instances in the gospels that i’ve read without properly appreciating how miraculous and seamless everything was for these things to occur. That probably sounds so dumb but literally just appreciating how amazing these things would have been to witness if you were a bystander or hearing about these things in your town because what is now just a little paragraph for me to read and forget about would have been a life altering experience for the people who were there.
Not just words on paper that i’ve skimmed over far too many times.

Obviously not a replacement for scripture itself but yea love your work Stacey. Grateful to have read.

This is a beautiful collection of short stories that bring fresh insight to familiar Bible passages. They are brought to life with new meaning through the eyes of characters we all know - and some who we don't. Highly recommended reading for all ages.

Beautiful collection of short stories that brings new perspectives and light to moments in bible stories we might not have noticed at first glance.

It is a poetic & lyrical book where every moment & story had me feeling reflective. I read one of these short stories every day during my bible reading time. Something you can dip in and out of.
