Ok I read this for my son but it actually helped me understand who is who in the whole Star Wars universe so 4 stars from me!

Seriously? Kids are not this stupid. I realized that when a child starts to read they need something easy to read, but this was just mind numbing and irritating. There's a difference between using easy words and simply being condescending. The only reason that this sells is because it says Star Wars on the cover.

I haven't read many early readers yet, but the couple I have read had better stories and better language.

The adventures of Luke Skywalker from “A New Hope,” “The Empire Strikes Back,” and “The Return of the Jedi” are summarized in simple language appropriate for beginning readers.

Oddly, Luke is depicted as having orange hair rather than being blonde in the illustrations.
