Sally Odgers was born in Tasmania in the 1950s, went to school there in the 1960s, married there in the 1970s, and had her children there in the 1980s. Her first book was published in 1977.
Pearl and her friends meet a new friend, the dragon called Trudy. They help save her from the big before the goblins come. Same formula as the other books. If you or your child enjoys the first one, they’ll like the others until they become repetitive.
Pearl is indeed a helpful unicorn. So helpful that when nasty Gobluns get stuck in a swamp she tries to help them. This is a fun new junior fiction series aimed at newly independent readers. It's a bright, vibrant book - black and white with spot pink that really pops! Pearl and her friends Olive the ogre and Tweet the (duh!) bird begin this story attempting to save a stranded kite. But what I really enjoyed about this tale of friendship was that it took some unexpected twists and turns. Unicorn loving kids will enjoy this new addition to the oeuvre.
