About the author

Lori Helke is a travel enthusiast and an avid supporter of renovating vintage campers. Inspired by her own vintage camper, Beatrice, she envisioned a children’s picture book series based on Beatrice’s adventures. In 2019 her first book Beatrice The Little Camper Gets Rescued was born. Her new book Beatrice The Little Camper’s Brave new Friend is set for release in late 2020.

We can't walk this journey alone. A little help from compassionate and caring friends is what makes the path we walk more impactful and fulfilling.

Beatrice, the lonely little camper who no one wanted tugs at the hearts of young and old. We've all felt that way at least once in our lives right?

But all it takes is someone to see that spark that still lies within. And this is exactly what Lori and her family saw in the little camper whose life had just about gone out of her...

Until they brought her home, embraced all her imperfections, and helped her be the best she could be.

And to think a camper could help us to embrace all parts of who we are in a positive way...well, I think that is just joie de vivre (French for joy of living!).
