Short, clear sentences make this book accessible to a lot of different readers. The fun facts will spark conversation. Table of contents, index, and glossary are easy to use. The book includes a nice further resources page for those who want to learn more about this athlete. The Beyond the Book section is perfectly aligned with the domains from the AASL National School Library Standards- Think, Create, Share, Grow! The Research Ninja section is also excellent- the link takes you a site with some book specific material, but also some generic templates that can be used with many topics.
