Reese

Cooper Reeves was the boy-next-door. Every milestone, every memory of my youth was entangled with his.

We were inseparable... until college.
It wasn’t his friends, girls or even sports that came between us— it was me.

Tired of being in the friend zone, I finally made a move. Turns out it was the wrong one.

Cooper walked away to play his first year of professional foot

Listening to a story where the 2 main characters are pushing pulling back and forth for 7 hours is a bit frustrating. I have to keep in mind that this book is meant for NA audience. I do like pushing pulling on the romance, but I need more magic, more chemistry.

I do not hate the book nor love it either. Like I said it is a bit frustrating. Even the cliffhanger does nothing to me. I am not in hurry to grab the sequel of this book.

Overall this book is OK read for me. Just OK.

College Romance Duet | Sports Romance

Has there ever been a title that more accurately describes a book like this one? I think not! Kaylee Ryan has written a smoldering, slow burn romance here and I was invested in the story from the start. I was frustrated with the hero (Cooper) but loved him regardless of his pigheadedness. Miscommunication, and the inability to realize how you FEEL about someone always gets on my nerves when reading a bo

There are so many mixed feelings surrounding me after finishing the first part of this duet.
It was beautiful! Reese and Cooper had been best friends since the age of 8. They had an amazing bond and I loved watching their development.
Both of them had deeper feelings for each other but were afraid to show because they didn’t want to ruin their friendship. Lifelong friends and then to be torn apart was their greatest fear!

BUT. It was so tiring and repetitive reading continuously how much

They both only had sex once with their dates to prom on their high school senior year, after that they dated others but were never intimate again

I asked the author about my double standards issues and she confirmed my doubts about him and his sex life and guess what? He doesn’t have one, other than the night he lost his v card he never had sex again

NO DOUBLE STANDARDS

They fooled around one day and he made her come but they stopped before things went further and it is said that she didn’t have

Reese and Cooper

I wish I had waited and read this book when part 2 was out. What an ending. My heart is in such pain. Such agony. They met when They were 8 years old. Have lived next door to each other. They love each other but have never expressed their feeling. Is it too late?

It seems whenever I've come off of an emotionally difficult read with all those mentally challenging triggers, I end up back in college doing the melodramas associated with the football god and the girl who doesn't think she's quite good enough. But, as we all know, she is and usually too good. And that's how I ended up beginning this little nugget of childhood best friends since they were 8 years old and now in college and feelings are changing -- but neither is quite willing to move forward fo ...more

I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review.
What an amazing story. The title says it all! I will tell you it's a 2 parter but once I started, I couldn’t seem to put it down. Cooper and Reese had me intrigued right from the very beginning. They were easy to relate to, and I felt as though I could connect easily with them. I felt this book was very well written, and the characters were completely lovable. I can't wait fo

Agony is the perfect title for this book. If there is a title that more accurately describes a book like this, it’s this one. Agony is a smoldering, slow burn romance between two lifelong best friends and I was fully invested in the story from the start. I always look forward to new books from Kaylee Ryan because she is such a wonderful writer and I really love how she pens a story and there is always such an easy flow in her stories. Her uncanny ability to suck readers into a story is incredibl ...more

Nope nope!!! Why???? Listen I will read the other book if she chooses the right guy. And it’s not cooper. He’s too dumbass. Best friends to lovers can be good but this is not it. This was a mess. Long and dragged out.
It was so draining. I don’t mind angst but I need more than that too. The whole book I was rooting for anyone but the hero. At least she wasn’t a virgin waiting around for him. Lmao

Agony, that title fits perfectly because it’s what I felt this whole book because I wanted to smack Cooper! Don’t get me wrong, I love him!! But I also want to shake and smack him!! But that being said, best friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and I was so glad to read book one of this duet. Actually I’m not sure it’s going to lovers but anyways, I’m rambling. I do adore Coop and Reese’s friendship more then words can say. The story Ms. Ryan weaved for these two just man! She’s done w ...more

AGONY is the first book of the Entangled hearts duet by Kaylee Ryan. Told in dual perspectives , this book certainly lives up to its title's meaning!!

This was the first book of Kaylee Ryan that I have read and it was absolutely amazing!! Agony was a book full of so much pain and longing, that it nearly tore my heart out. Here in this book we meet two childhood best friends- Cooper and Reese. Reese has pretty much been in love with Cooper thr

If there was ever a book that lived up to it's name with each and every chapter it is this one. Once again Kaylee Ryan rips your heart from your chest and leaves you breathless. From the very first line until the last word on the page the reader is pulled into this best friend/soulmate storyline that at certain points makes you laugh out loud and at other makes you wipe tears from your cheeks. Reese and Cooper have been best friends since they were 8 years old, but somewhere along the line the f ...more

Such mixed feelings about Coop and Reese, did you know that they were best friends?
I feel like I wasn't reminded enough about their friendship and maybe they were just acquaintances and not actual best best best friends. But anyway by the end I felt like I was invested in their relationship/ best friends ever-ship and I'll probably read book 2 because best friends bro.

'Agony' by Kaylee Ryan is an angst-fest from start to end; having gone into this without realising that this is a duet made it worse because it ends on an unhappy cliffhanger, despite you know that this has an HEA down the end of the line when the second book finally releases.

The childhood-best-friends-to-lovers trope is a long, drawn-out one here and isn't entirely fulfilled in this book, as poor timing and drastically-changing circumstances finally shift the game...and that is where

Kaylee Ryan has done it again with her beautiful words, addicting stories, and unforgettable characters. Kaylee is so known to tug on some heartstrings in her books but oh my goodness y'all, I certainly wasn't expecting THIS but all in the very best ways.

Agony is the first book in this best-friends-to-lovers Entangled Hearts duet (oh yes there is so much more left to tell for Reese and Cooper in book two) and y'all, you are NOT READY for their journey. Packed with underlying heat, comp

Agony is appropriately titled. This book and that cliffhanger, PURE agony! Cooper and Reese have a beautiful friendship. The two of them love each other so much but could not communicate that to each other at the right times. There was a lot of push and pull and repetitiveness and for me this was a frustrating read. I enjoyed the story and characters but they each had their flaws. I sure hope they get it together in Bliss!

Reese and Cooper have been best friends and inseparable since they were eight years old, even their parents are best friends. They have a bond, a connection and amazing chemistry. Though, Cooper doesn’t want to do anything to risk his friendship with Reese and Reese doesn’t think Cooper feels the same. They both struggle with their emotions, but will they be able to admit their feelings before it’s too late?

I loved Reese and Cooper’s friendship. It was fun, playful, sweet and adorable from the v

Wow! The title of this book is so true. Agony. That’s exactly how I feel at the moment. The beauty of the best friends fighting and not admitting their feeling is so well written in this fantastic book, it's almost painful. This story is written with passion and perfection, the words fly off the pages.

Reese has been best friends with Cooper since the age of seven. Inseparable. Their parents are best friends too and these two haven’t spent a day apart. Each is unaware that they are in love with t

Where do I even start with this read that has left me a blubbering mess. This story starts as two childhood best friends are navigating their way through college. The feels are everything in this story and something I felt straight into the marrow of my bones. I loved the support system of the other characters so much and everything was so easy to relate to. So many times I wanted to yell at both characters to see what is right in front of them and see what the world around them sees with blarin ...more

This author is an expert at writing stories that tug at your heart. Reese and Cooper, best friends since they were 8 years old and both ridiculously blind and oblivious to each other’s feelings. Reese always thought that Cooper never wanted her as something more but boy how wrong was she. Cooper was always her protector and in one way or another always chased guys that seemed to be getting too close to Reese but he never told her about his feelings. Until he realized that he was going to lose he ...more

FFS.... how many times does one have to say, “She/he’s my best friend”? I think we get it. If you made a drinking game out of how many freaking times this book said it, you’d be in a coma.

Agony, distress, heartbreak, pain, torture and woe are just some of the emotions that my heart experienced through this first part of Reese and Cooper’s story. Two people who have loved each other since they were children, but what happens when you are so scared to lose that one person who means more to you than anyone else that you allow fear to do exactly that. This is a story that had my anxiety levels high, my chest tight and my frustrations boiling over. I wanted to yell, scream and shake t ...more

This was a freaking great read!! The absolute best beach read!! Cooper and Reese are BFF's and have been since they were little. They can finish each others sentences and always, always have each others backs. Only each of them realize they have feeling for each other as they get older. And its the old story of "dont want to lose them as a friend if we take it to the next level'. Literally they never go there out of pure terror of them losing each other. That is why the title is perfect...becaus ...more

I am in pure AGONY right now. Holy cliffhanger! The buildup to the point of no return has me all over the place, I need more more, I want more of Cooper and Reece right this very second. This has literally been my very thought since I closed my kindle, so that is why I started with that. Okay, moving on.

I am a huge fan of this author and her words. She has always had a way of wrapping me in her words almost like a blanket. Agony was everything I needed. Cooper and Reese 's story was sensational.

First book by this author and I liked it even if I didn’t love it.

The book is a typical childhood best friends to lover story and was well done. I thought both the h and H were likeable and there were a lot of really fun angsty scenes. I loved all the usual denial/yearning you get with a good friends to lovers books which this story defiantly had.

That said there were multiple times where I literally rolled my eyes. Things that were so unrealistic/would never happen in college and behaviors of
