In a world where everyone was against them, they needed a Miracle. What no one had expected was to find their salvation in an abandoned town that was ready to collapse. Yet, that is exactly what happened when they moved to the town of Miracle, Oregon.
There were some sins that could never be forgiven and Gawain York had more than his share burdening his soul. It was for that reason he wasn’t surprised when someone hunted him down to make him pay for his crimes. What he didn’t expect was for that person to be his mate.
Koen Dirks was stunned when the man he’d come to kill ended up being his mate. What had he done in his life for fate to allow this to happen? Mate or not, he wasn’t going to change his mind about Gawain after all the man had done to ruin the lives of so many shifters.
Can Gawain’s past ever be forgiven? Does Koen even want to, or is he willing to lose the one man fate had made just for him? Can Miracle pull off its usual magic and have these men Finding Absolution?
PLEASE NOTE: Although each book in this series focuses on one couple and their HEA, the overall story arc is better enjoyed if read in order.
Bestselling author of the Cedar Falls Series, Hart Medical Center Series, Miracle Series, and Paranormal Wars Series, Shea Balik has always had a vivid imagination with stories running around in her head. Often her stories are taken from observations of other people with her own spin.
Traveling is one of her favorite ways of fulfilling her passion of people watching. You never know, one day you may spark her imagination for her next book.
Whether at home or traveling she is usually in front of her computer writing or curled up with a good book.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
How do you find it in yourself to forgive someone who has supported the commission of multiple atrocities? Koen faces just this dilemma when he tracks down Gawain. How can he not forgive him when he's his mate. Gawain is a member of the previous sifter council who did not take up the challenge for his position, instead choosing to flee. Koen was his challenger and has hunted him down only to discover they're mates. What will it take to fix this mess? Will the magic that is Miracle work for them too?
A perfect title to the story. Finding absolution when you don't feel you even deserve it. But that's the beauty of forgiveness and making things right..if you are truly trying to change, it makes all.the difference. And Dawson was more than willing to change. He hated who he was and was ready to die. But he found someone who finally believed him and in him and it helped make the difference.
This was an awesome read. Gawain and Koen were wonderful together. Gawain was on the council who had killed so many groups of shifters and innocents but only out of fear for his life. This story brought tears to my eyes, especially when Gawain and Koen were standing in front of the council in Miracle to decide his fate. This was definitely well written and I'll always have a place in my heart for Chadwick (love his personality) and actually most of the characters. I've enjoyed this series immensely and I really wish that there was more. Very compelling and touching romance. I loved it. =)
Really enjoyed this story very good. Angst, love, absolution, and miracles. Danger and forgiveness. Really enjoy this series and the town and people. Cannot wait for more
