A solid 3.5. I think Ms. Cinelli is a newer author to HP. I enjoy her books.
Hero here does not see himself as a hero. Heroine has confidence in business, but not in herself in personal terms. H is h's brother's best friend - who is presumed dead in a botched kidnapping. h has crushed on H most of her life. H and h have a history of bickering. H was present when brother was kidnapped and H has taken on the role of protecting h.
My favorite scene involved a game of Truth and Lies.

Amanda Cinelli is an author who draws the reader into her stories with amazing opening scenes that keep giving us wonderful romantic tales until the end. THE VOWS HE MUST KEEP is a captivating romance with a brave heroine whose self-confidence was eroded by her ex-boyfriend, and a noble hero suffering from PTSD after he was kidnapped – and ultimately escaped.

It was okay. I got through it. I didn’t like that it seemed to be so many loose ends in the story line. We didn’t see how the “twist” affected the main characters. Everything was really vague. I didn’t really get sucked into the story. Maybe the next book in the series wraps up all the loose ends but I won’t recommend this to many people.
