The third and final (?) installment of the Sam the Spectator series does not disappoint! Perhaps my favorite book of the series, I laughed out loud throughout and teared up more than once. Sam is such a relatable character; Alvey somehow manages to perfectly capture the angst of high school in a way that reminded me of my own long-forgotten teenage experiences. Great series! Fun story and a real time capsule of early 90's music.

I enjoy this series for many reasons, not the least of which is the nineties period references, to which I can relate, and Sam the Spectator's excellent narrative voice, which is very enjoyable indeed. This latest adventure was rife with coming-of-age tension and very well done.
