It’s a book that i thought ended perfectly, and the romance of Citrine and Rory was so lovely, it’s been great to read and I’m sad that it’s over .

Another amazing addition to the Sinclair Jewels series featuring Citrine Sinclair and Rory MacLeod. Rory is the youngest son of a Laird and has set out to prove himself at sea (as the pirate, Black Banner). A chance meeting on Citrine's voyage to the MacLeod keep (actually The Black Banner has captured her ship) the sparks fly between these two immediately. Not even Citrine's quest to find the last of the missing Jewels, her reluctance to marry, his reluctance to marry and the fact that he's a pirate can keep these two apart. Loved it!! Part of a series but can be read as a standalone. 5+ stars.

Safe and cute historical romance book.
I only doubt heroine aka lady of 16th century of whenever this takes place, would be so easily deflowered by one of her father's warriors, and nobody would make any fuss about it - not even her betrothed (Hero).

Whilst travelling to Lewes to meet her betrothed she’s taken prisoner by a gorgeous and completely maddening pirate captain, The Black Banner. She discovers the Black Banner holds one of her family’s long-lost jewels, and he refuses to tell her why. Rory MacLeod is the youngest son of a powerful laird and is happy to let others rule as he spends his life at sea as the Scourge of the Minch, the fierce pirate known as the Black Banner.
The fourth & final Sinclair sister finds love & another well written engrossing read it was. I loved both Rory & Citrine, he the younger son who’s a natural leader of men & she’s the sister who loves to wear trousers & train in the lists with the other warriors. I loved their journey to a HEA, there are misunderstandings, surprises, intrigue & of course love. The lovely epilogue rounded off the series beautifully

This entire series has been so enjoyable! Four Sinclair sisters, all named after jewels which are real and they are looking for them. Citrine is the last one and it falls upon her to find the last missing stone and she is determined to reach her goal. Of course her journey includes a gorgeous pirate, Rory MacLeod, known as the Black Banner. She is taken by mistake by him but learns he holds one of the stones, but he does not cooperate!
But fate steps in and he finds out his father, a powerful Laird has signed a contract for him to marry the Sinclair lass, he is determined not to do so. What he does not realize at first is the fiesty woman he has mistakenly kidnapped is her!
Loved, Loved, Loved this series and this story. Of course, it is by Caroline Lee who always writes tales that keep me enthralled until the end!!

July 1, 2022The perfect conclusion of a magnificent series!!! Citrine is the strongest, bravest and unruliest of the four Sinclair Jewels and she deserved to find her match. And she found it! Rory is the pirate every woman would love to be kidnapped by! Swoon! As always, this book has awesome writing, a touch of suspense, humor, hot lovemaking and everything you could desire from an historical romance book! Kilt-wearing hot pirates included! Please, Caroline Lee, give me more of these books!

Wonderful Wonderful Story!
I absolutely loved the characters and storyline so much. Citrine and her sisters all had great marriages and memories. I’m sad to see this series end. So good I wanted more. Rory was such s great character! Loved this!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Citrine wants to lead the Sinclair lands but her father is sending her off to get married to Rory MacLeod. Mistaken identity get her kidnapped by Rory and so begins the adventure that takes them back to Sinclair land. This was a great ending to the Sinclair Jewels.

"The MacLeod Pirate" is book four in Caroline Lee's "The Sinclair Jewels" series. This book was by far my favorite in this series. Citrine is the last of the Sinclair sisters who aren't married. Her father has arranged for her to marry Rory MacLeod. While on her way there, they get attacked by pirate's. The notorious Black Banner leader of his ship has his hands full with Citrine. He takes her "captive" and is keeping a secret from Citrine. While Citrine is looking for the last of the family Jewels, Black Banner assists her. My favorite part is when they go to the cave. I can't recommend this book enough. Caroline has really done a great job with this book and series.

I think this was my favorite book in the series. Citrine has strength and sass. I liked that Rory supported her. I’m sad the series is over but I do have a couple more series of Caroline Lee that I can start.

Scottish maiden meets Pirate
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Scottish historical fiction. I didn’t read the previous 3 books in the series, but it would help if you do that.

The MacLeod Pirate by Caroline Lee is an enticing story of two people who are not happy with their lives as they are: Citrine is one of the daughters of a Scottish Laird who has no sons. She cannot follow him as laird because that is not traditional but she is not satisfied with that answer, nor the mystery of the brooch which when lost siphoned off the fortunes of the clan. The legend is the warrior who finds the stones and restores them to the brooch, may then claim the power. He two older sisters have both married and had found love as well a several of the missing stones. Citrine is betrothed, not intending to marry, but will to travel to her betrothed because according to the legend, one of the stones is there. William, one of her childhood friends, and a warrior she trains with, will escort her to the MacLeod keep miles away, where she will meet her betrothed and find one of the missing stones. Rory MacLeod is a younger brother and still lives at his older brother's keep when he is not away, which he are often. On the journey, the craft Citrine and her escort on sailing on is overtaken by pirates, specifically the Black Banner. The Black Banner himself is attracted to Citrine and contrary to his normal practice, kidnaps her. William, her escort, not only allows him to take her, but seems to invite him to. Very curious...to both Citrine and the Black Banner.
The Macleod Pirate is a fun story. I'm sure the astute reader can see where it is going already. Citrine, being a warrior, despite her gender, allows herself to fall in love with Banner, and Banner, contrary to stories heard of pirates, treats her with respect, which grows into love. They get along well together, and as it turns out, he has the stones she seeks; a pearl he has kept as a talisman for years. Throughout the many twists and turns this story takes, their like, respect, and indeed, love for one another grows. I love series around family members or a group of friends. I love the series even more when the author intertwines those characters throughout the book series (it’s a pet peeve when authors don’t do that because what’s the point of the series and introducing the characters if they are not going to interact throughout the series). You get past book characters (sisters) in this story, usually in the beginning and the end.
I loved the writing around the women empowerment (it wasn’t over the top for me). Badass women rock.
Movement of the book flowed for the most part. Book writing/conversation engaging. The Scottish dialogue wasn’t difficult to follow.
Laugh out loud humorous moments.
Romantic /sexual content (kissing, oral and love making scenes) was throughout the book. Nothing over the top, some ‘dirty’ words intertwined rightly in the story telling. Short story 2.5/5 hotness and steam.
Totally recommend author.
Will read the next book by the author.

Little does he know the firebrand hostage he’s grown attracted to be his betrothed. Citrine is desperate to find the jewel when she discovers the Black Banner holds one of her family’s lost jewels and the mystery of their family connection continues. I loved these amazing stories of finding the lost Sinclair jewels and the women who were named after each jewel. Each has sister jewel had her own journey and mystery to solve and found love along the way. An excellent story and I voluntarily wrote a review for.

I loved this challenging adventure for Citrine and Rory. that had me
sitting of the edge of my seat. So many surprises but the ending will
knock your socks off and it had me shedding a few tears.
This is a series you hate to see end. You can't help but get attached to
some of the characters. They have each had their own story and each have
conquered much and they have touched our hearts and to have all of them
reunited at the this extremely emotional epilogue was simply wonderful.

The MacLeod Pirate is the 4th and final book in the series. Everything is finally tied together for the 4 sisters who comprise the Sinclair Jewels.
Rory MacLeod captures Citrine Sinclair not realizing she is actually his betrothed that he never wanted. Unhappy as the youngest son of a powerful laird he is the Black Brand a notorious pirate.
Citrine Sinclair is a true firebrand who has been allowed to train as a warrior.
When these two meet sparks fly in more ways than one.
This is truly an enjoyable romp that I loved from start to finish.

Awal sampe tengah lumayan menikmati sih, karena seru aja pas Citrine ketemu Black Banner si perompak a.k.a Rorry McLeod, tunangannya sendiri. Tapi seperti buku-buku yang sebelumnya. Menurut saya proses jatuh cintanya terlalu cepat karena memang alurnya cepet. Tapi proses mereka saling tertarik cukup masuk akal sih. Jdi bisa dibilang cukup oke. Si Citrine ini tipikal heroine yang cocoknya eksis di masa sekarang, karena dia independen, jago pedang dan pengen jadi Laird menggantikan ayahnya. Agak kecewa jg karena si Rorry di sini kan leader ya, harusnya dia alpha, tapi rupanya dia bisa ngalah sama Citrine. Mungkin saking cintanya kali ya.
Overall, di buku ini semua terungkap. Mulai dari siapa pengkhianat di klan Sinclair, lalu semua permatanya juga udah ketemu, dan ada plot twist juga.

A magnificent read that Ties the series perfectly together!
Rory- youngest son of Laird MacLeod, And is Black Banner.
Citrine- the warrior jewel.
I enjoyed reading this captivating story that is fantastically written with charismatic characters and sub characters. Not only does this story ties the series together perfectly but has a twist or 2 along with lots of action/drama. Their story has a wonderfully strong HEA.
Disclaimer- This is a very steamy book. I did not care for that part but the story line with so good I could not rate this less because of unwanted spicy scenes that I personally don't like to read.

Omigosh, what an awesome finish to this series! I loved the other books but I have to admit this was my favourite of them all. A highlander who's also a pirate? Swoonnnnnn!
This is Citrine and Rory's story, one filled with high seas adventure, twists and turns that you just didn't expect, heated passions and finding the remaining missing Sinclair Jewels!! As I kept reading, my jaw would drop because of the secrets that were revealed and I just couldn't put the book down until I'd finished reading it.
I definitely recommend this book, as well as the whole series. I'm hoping the author will continue with some of the secondary characters:)

I really liked this book, got through it super quick. The story is adorable and I like that it didn't go into Stockholm territory. It was still unrealistic but that's ok. What I didn't like is the ending, particularly taking the triumph away from the woman and making her share it with her husband. So much of this was unrealistically charmed, why explicitly make the men of the clan not bow to her until he gives his speech? I also didn't connect with either character as much as I would have liked; they're both great characters, but I didn't feel them. I think this may have been the narration, perhaps it was a little flat for the "fire-y" characters. Though I liked him with the other books.

This is about the last of the Sinclair Jewels. It is not only the names of the daughters of the Laird of the Sinclair clan.
His daughter’s names are Agata, Saffy, Citrina and Pearl. These are also the jewels that the sister’s are looking for. This story is about Citrina who is also very good at fighting with her sword. She is on her way to meet her future husband, Rory MacLeod.
Different things happen on the way that was good. She meets her future husband as the Black Banner.
This is a story that is better to read than told. Happy Reading!!

What a fantastic end to such a wonderful series. The Sinclair jewels finally have been found this story is full of action desire treachery intrigue and romance. Rory & Citrine, there meet was excellent the build up to there romance it was so intriguing you couldn't put it down there are surprises at every turn of the pages and the ending build up was just brilliantly told I would encourage you all to give it a read. I look forward to many more books from this author she always delivers 5 stars for me.

There are still jewels missing from the long-lost jewels of the Sinclair Clan. Citrine is the last daughter left and she feels that she will not find them in time to save her clan. But then she is kidnapped by the Black Banner and finds that he holds one of the jewels. Just how did he come to have that jewel and who is he, really? A mystery turns into a search to find the remaining jewels, but does more than that happen during their search? What they find is more that searching for jewels, and the bitter hatred that comes to light in this final chapter.

Rory is her betrothed but he is also the pirate who took her. As he shows he is honorable will she forgive him once she finds out who he really is. After shared kisses and an adventure in the making, they will fight together for what is right.
