Summer Prescott is well-known in the Cozy Mystery realm, having written and published several Best-Sellers in the genre. An avid reader of Thrillers, Horror and Suspense, the author has decided to follow her passion with the debut of her Thriller, The Quiet Type, which launched in the top 50 of the Serial Killer category on Amazon. The novel has received high praise in its reviews, and Summer is considering a possible trilogy or series to continue the story.
A great second book to this series! When the niece of a family friend disappears, Mac can’t seem to keep her nose out of police business. I love seeing how everyone Mac knows seems to be like family. I would have loved growing up on an apple farm like she did. Their farm has a little bit of everything!
This was a surprising yet not surprising case, and I enjoyed seeing how Mac sleuthed it out. She, of course, had to face the music when Sheriff Williams (again) asked her to lay off the case. There was always a little doubt in my mind as to whodunit. The showdown was quick but good. Lots of action into a nice quick read! I really love Mac's relationship with both her parents. It's very loving and sweet, and who wouldn't want to work for Mac at the cafe or gift shop? She's got to be world's nicest boss! I'll borrowing the next in the series from KU soon.
Such fun having a mystery series with the protagonist who works in the family apple orchard farm and cafe. This is the second book in what’s shaping up to be a great series.
Mac is busy taking care of her jobs at the orchard but when she hears that the daughter of family friends has disappeared she just has to help. Even though the sheriff and her parents tell her to stay out of it she just can’t. And while she does figure out some things it could just cost her her life.
Mac is asked by her mom and dad to look into the missing person case of the daughter of good friends of theirs. She starts poking around and gets threatening notes. The ladies husband doesn't seem to sad that she is missing. Her best friend also isn't too concerned about her being gone. As Mac gets deeper and deeper into it, she gets into trouble with the law but it all turns out for the best
I finished to fast. Mackenzie wanted to help and found herself in a big pickle with the one person she thought would never do anything that bad. The Sheriff and her parents told her not to get involved, but when a family friend is in trouble you want to help. You will like this book. Enjoy!!
Characters are great. Sometimes you miss what you have when your to busy thinking about what you don't have, appreciate what you have before it becomes what you had cause you were to busy with the wrong things.
Mackenzie finds herself busy with the café and gift shop but when a friend’s niece disappears. She will once again get involve into things as the night soon be a crime involve.
Not bad for an extremely short read. The characters are interesting but the stories are too quick to flesh them out. The only silly thing to me was the fact that Wanda's husband was supposedly clueless about how to take care of himself or their house.
This a story about a bakery owner who gets into trouble looking in to murders and missing people she has great instincts but always needs to be save buy the police
