This story closed all the loops from book one and despite all of the errors I enjoyed the storyline. My recommendation is to do more than a spell check. Words can be spelled right, but not make sense in the sentence. It could be the wrong tense or need to be plural. Taking some time to have someone really edit and read through the book can take this book to a 5 star level. Editors are also able to ensure storylines are smooth from one book to the next. In this story she mentions that one couple never said they loved each other and they had in the first book. That was a miss and why editing is important.
That said I was happy to see both couples find their HEA. I was hella side eyeing Draco in the first book because his insecurities were loud and wrong. He finally moved past his personal hangups and gave Anika a fair chance. Which allowed Anika to trust in him and make the decision to respect both him and herself. Draco started acting like a man instead of a little bi&%h and I was glad. he started talking to her like he had sense and he didn't allow anyone to disrespect her. They came along way from the first book.
Kamari and Hayden had to overcome a terrible situation. I understood Hayden's stance, and Kamari could have handled the situation better. However, I was glad she finally chose the man that showed his love for her and her son constantly. I felt like they fell a little in the background in this book and I wanted more of them in love. The epilogue talked about some positive things that happened for them and I would have loved to experience some of that instead of so much light on Kamari's brother.
The sequel picks up with the group. I do feel like each couple had many hoops and challenges to jump over before getting to their HEA. The climb to happiness isn’t easy at all. Not for any of them. I like this book more than the prior one, but I wanted to see how it played out and how things ended up, so it was definitely worth a read to see what was happening to wrap it up.

Solid ending to a series that had me absolutely freaking obsessed about it . I’m so glad that Anika got herself together and realized that she was worth so much more. The Growth in these characters were simply amazing. Awesome series
Anika and Draco were both working my nerves. I got mad every time she did some sneaky ish and got mad every time he handled her disrespectfully, he always reacted with anger.
Anika was stubborn and Draco was just as stubborn. I honestly didn’t think they were going to make it with all the ups and downs, him not been able to get over her ways and her not wanting to over come her ways but they made it and I’m so happy for them.
Loved Kamari and Hayden also. Hayden over reacted when she found out that Jamison was Kobe’s killer. She acted like Kamari had done it himself. I get the initial shock of the situation and her needing space but she was just doing too much in my eyes. She knew she wasn’t leaving that man she loved him and he loved her and I’m so happy they made it.
I wish Hayden and Kamari had their own book. I hated Draco and Annika story, too unrealistic, he was doing way too much defending for someone who had no self respect. Even after she see she wanted him, she still was ready to give it up for some cash. There was nothing special about Annika that gave me reason to believe that she caught Draco eye. She was a regular around the way girl and very much ghetto with her attitude. I was so lost when she would get mad when someone will call her out on her acts. The women who wanted his attention probably had better morals than her. I understand stripping. No problem, but sleeping with men for money, and some men were from his circle. I didn’t get the appeal. I loved Hayden and Kamari.
Draco and Anika came a long way. I like the fact that his mom pointed out to him that he needed to make changes as well inorder for her to want to change for him. They were good when they both got on the same page. I like their new family unit with Draco, Anika, Milani, and Serena. I like that Kamari and Hayden worked everything out and she didn’t hold his brother Jamie’s actions against him. I like how Kamari was a father figure to Ky from day one and Ky now calls him daddy. I did want to know what happened with Mimi and CJ.
So I was a little mad at part 1 and the way it ended but Tay definitely redeemed herself! These couples went through a lot and I am so happy that they were able to work through their issues because I genuinely wanted both couples to work. Anika for sure made me look at her different because I was disappointed in her after book 1. Great job Tay!
It's crazy how our past can effect the decisions we face in life and it can also lead us to block our blessings. Each character experience something but eventually became stronger. Kamari and Draco were my favorites and Tay did an excellent job making me understand the lessons of life. Book one and this one was so exciting and a great read.
Anika changed her ways and it was for the best. Draco stubborn self finally came around . Now with Hayden and Kamari ? I just don’t know . They’re cute but I don’t know how I would feel after secrets been exposed . Regardless of who did it or not. Glad everything was wrapped up and not dragged. .Maybe Kenya and Montana together ? Hmm lol
Kamari & Hayden…check. They want to be relationship goals. Jailal & Anika….check. Finally worked out their differences. Sometimes you can’t judge a book it’s cover. Get to know people first; sometimes they may be what you need. Remember not to keep secrets in your relationship, it could come back unexpectedly.
I really loved these characters especially Anika in all her flaws. I loved the growth they all experienced through your the series and this was a perfect end now what’s up with Montana lol. Great Job as always.
From a hoe to a housewife, I'm just saying, anything is possible in a romance novel. I liked this story. The urban environment was easier to adapt to this time around.
Yes that has you end a book where every body stop being stubborn and embrace how they feeling. I'm glad every happy and Anika showed that can change and grow. I was wonder is Mimi going to stay with CJ? Keep up the good work
Hayden, Draco, Kamari and Anika showed up and out in part 2. That all overcame the barriers that life threw their way and all came out better than before. Great ending to these couples and their love conquered all.
Loved this two part series from start to finish Tae Monae always delivers a great read. Anika and Hayden both ended up with great hardworking men. The mothers in this story had good influences on their kids which was amazing. Great job Tae.
I loved it!!The passion the characters had for each other ran deep they never stoped fighting for the love that they new could grow into everlasting love 👍🏾👍🏾
Man, it was only a matter of time before paths were crossed and secrets were revealed. Great follow up and ending to the finessed story. I love a happy ending!
This book was perfection. I like the insight it gives on the life of strippers. I like how Jellal tried with her and just wanted her to do better because females who do this sometimes tend to think that it’s all the world has to over and if they leave the club there will not be a better life.
