In addition, she has published numerous items in various books, magazines, educational materials and newspapers.
Jo currently serves as a Regional Advisor for the Southern Breeze region (AL, MS, GA) of the Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators, where she organizes two conferences for writers and illustrators of childrens literature each year. I read it to the 1st grade for Women's History month. I think they enjoyed it as it had chimpanzees in the story.

This is a very simple biography of Jane Goodall. I liked how it had the vocabulary or new words highlighted for children to look out for during the book. It also gives readers places to go to find out more information.

Scholastic News Nonfiction Readers book: The book is designed for first and second grade readers. It covers mostly her work in Africa with chimpanzees and introduces children to two of her most famous chimps.
