In Leave a Legacy That Counts, author and award-winning business leader Terrie Davoll Hudson answers the questions so many of us wonder: How do we leave an enduring legacy for our loved ones, and what exactly will that legacy be?

Of course, many automatically assume one’s legacy should be financial, but as Hudson illuminates to readers, that is not—and should not—always be the case. By sharing personal anecdotes and questioning the reader on a multitude of subjects regarding their own lives and values, Hudson guides us to understand not only where our values in life lie, but how to etch those values into our legacies that will be passed on for generations.

An easy but meaningful read, that offers several insights into seemingly common topics. Hudson's years of experience as a motivational speaker, encourages the reader to put her pointers into practice to live an inspiring life that brings meaning not only to oneself, but to the world one leaves behind as well. An uplifting book that strengthens your self-belief and motivates you to do more and be more.

This is a quick and generally easy little read about a very deep topic. For many people, talking or even thinking about the end of their life is uncomfortable. Yet, Hudson has framed the concept of legacy in the here and now.

I was particularly excited to read this book as one of my life goals is to "Leave a lasting legacy". Hudson frames out how to go about deciding what you want your legacy to be, no matter whether it's financial, material, biological, or values based. She then provides a number of practical steps to begin moving forward in creating that legacy.

The writing style is casual and friendly. Multiple current and historical figures are used as examples. Hudson has done a good job of crafting story and how to into a book that is just simple and easy to read and quite pleasurable.

I really enjoyed this book, it’s easy to read and it makes you examine yourself as to how you want to be known when you leave this earth. She supports her theory with short stories to illustrate how legacies were created and changed intentionally. Great motivational reading
