So this was just okay. I mean, it wasn’t terrible but it did fall flat for me. The romance was fine and the plot was okay. Basically, everything was just O K A Y. I have a hard time resisting a shifter cowboy/rancher, so I had to give this story a try when I saw it pop up in the Kindle store. I've never read Ms. Vale's work, but I am more than familiar with Ms. Rose's work, especially her shifter MC universe.

There were several things that held promise in this story, but overall it was mid-level. I liked it, but there were enough situations that were either stereotypical, or just handled badly. Both H and h were borderline TSTL. Plus the other brothers fell into their tropes as if molded into those shapes. A couple of nice sexy scenes and a decent HEA make it worth reading.

Boyd is a rodeo champion and also a wolf shifter. The #1 rule is not to reveal to a human. Boyd is exposed to Audrey once he is hurt by a bull and heals within hours. Keeping an eye on Audrey will be no problem for him since he plans on having her as his own. Audrey never thought she'd end up in such a crazy situation. All she wanted was to have a family of her own, now she may get her chance. A steamy good read.

An enjoyable read. I liked the characters, even though the leading mans dialogue a lot of the time was a bit cheesy. I preferred the heroine.

Who wouldn't want to read a book by two of the best PNR authors out there? Rough is a wolf PNR that was so enjoyable to read that I could not put it down! Audrey and Boyd are everything you could want to read. There is heart and soul between these two characters that will keep this story going.

To be honest, I haven't had the pleasure of reading Renee Rose. In fact, one of the reasons I was interested in this book was because Vanessa Vale was a co-author and I love her books. But fair warning for those of you doing the same thing as me....it's not the same and don't pick this up thinking you're getting a Vanessa Vale story, this is...different.

This was pretty standard fare for a shifter book, but still fun to read. It was hard not to like Boyd from the start, he seemed larger than life and easy going. Turns out he was hiding some things, but Audrey helped him see things in a new light, one that helped take away the shadow that has followed him for a long time. I love both of these authors but was a bit disappointed by this book. Audrey is a smart woman yet she doesn't act that way...maybe it's her insecurities about herself and love? When Karen, a mean-spirited shifter, tells a lie, Audrey believes her! I found that really hard to believe based on her character portrayed in the book!
