"I enjoyed the spiritually uplifting, intimate poems of Matt Buonocore. "The Heart's Call: Coming Home Book 1" is a heartwarming collection that is best described by the lovely lines from one of the author's poems: "The heart was meant for service, for a soul to find its purpose." - Xenia
Beautifully written, words to comfort the soul." - Santos
Book Description
This is a book of poems and affirmations to awaken the soul. Each poem provides a new vibratory experience that guides the reader towards spiritual growth. This book is my journey from awakening to the present day. The book is meant as a catalyst for spiritual growth, the goal being to ignite the fire that lies dormant. We are all called to serve, to serve ourselves and then the world. Let this be a message to all that would choose the path of service, the true path. As each fear disintegrates we walk closer to the truth of our nature, and this is my truth.

About the author
Matt Buonocore
54 books22 followersI'm a poet and a writer from Central New York. My work consists of affirmations, quotes and poems of the divine nature. My work tells my story, it conveys each step I’ve taken in my journey towards personal freedom. My books are dedicated to my lovely girlfriend Alaina, who helped me see my worth and grasp the meaning of unconditional love. Growing up I always felt the call to do something beyond the “norm”; to follow my heart regardless of what others told me. Beneath everything, I find myself called to put out my message and my “heart-song”. It's very easy to forget that life is completely subject to each individual choice made, and these writings helped me to grasp the potential of trusting my true self.

I really enjoyed this poetry collection, offering various pieces filled with love, hope and contentment. It's a rather short read, but it leaves a lasting impact. The poems are soothing and atmospheric, and I appreciated the uplifting affirmations woven throughout.
The poems are written with simplicity to them, yet contain thoughtfulness and utterly intimate emotions laced between the lines. Some of them were stronger than the others, but overall, I think this is a really pleasant collection. I would recommend checking it out, since it's currently free on Amazon. On a side note, I think it's really sweet the author dedicated all of his work to his girlfriend. Maybe love should us inspire us all like it does to him.
Thanks to the author Matt Buonocore for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book really brings one home to a safe haven where one knows one is loved. Despite the trials and tribulations of our journey through life, one can still find love and compassion. This is the true message of this book of thought-provoking poems which have many deep meanings to convey.

This collection of poems was heart warming. I could see a different world behind each line and each rhyme, a world that promises so much for the human soul.
It doesn't only convey all the pure feelings from defeat to victory, but also enhances the soul to a realm where compassion, love, and hope rule. The rhythm and prose was quite soothing, while the game of words matched in harmony, and the reading was easygoing.
Life experiences and memories are what shape the soul until we can hear the call of our hearts to return to unity...
Excellent read, for which I review it with 4.7 stars!

A pause for enlightenment
New York poet Matt Buonocore affirms his impact as a seer whose goal is ‘to provide a new vibratory experience to guide the reader toward spiritual growth.’ He has published twelve volumes to date, and after reading this newest collection of his poetry, it is likely the reader will seek his earlier collections.
Matt’s poems are gently brief, and all the more of a significant impact for the reader for their brevity – like a distillation of passing thoughts. A few examples follow:
Out by the Creek
When I see God,
I don’t see a man,
see a place!
I see us both out in a field,
beneath the shade of freedoms rule.
The flowers bloom from June to March,
and by the creek we stop our search.
We light a fire and tell a tale,
we speak of struggle and years derailed.
Out by the creek our souls set sail,
the journey set within each tale.
Become the Air
The ancient seas have dried and gone,
yet we pretend that we’re still young.
We’re fighting for a God that cares,
where living truth is being scared.
All children come with love to bear,
each sold a flame to light and share.
Just take a hand and jump. I dare,
and in the fall become the air.
Gentle, quiet moments of repose and reflection, the poems in this book register not only in our mind, but more importantly, in our heart.

Being vulnerable is something we all go through. It's something that let us ponder on life and help us find directions. Even we lose our way, we should never give up. We should find strength to grow and to forgive those who did us wrong, even if it's our very selves and move forward.

This was a beautiful read, I have been in that state of mind, where will my heart lead me. I feel that my heart is leading me to jump into the unknown and trust, that I can land on my feet and open the door to my heart.
