That Secret Crush
USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn brings more humor and heart with the third novel of her Getting Lucky series: a story about breaking curses and laying your heart on the line.
What happens when your secret crush isn’t so secret anymore?

Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5
The way Reid can't seem to keep his hands off of Eve was just hot. The best part about their relationship was how much they just seemed to adore each other. You can really see both o ...more

Small Town | Friend’s to Lovers Romance
Can I just say that I want to PERSONALLY LIVE IN PORT SNOW! I’ll take any of the Knightly brothers (they are all charmingly irresistible), live through harsh winters (I hate winter), and deal with the small-town gossip JUST TO BE THERE. Gosh, this is one fictional town I dream about. New England is a beautiful place to live because we get all the seasons and while I prefer my winters to be nonexiste ...more
That Secret Crush is the third book in the Getting Lucky series, but the first book I have read by Meghan Quinn, and I know it’s only February, but it’s the best book I have read so far this year.
I loved Reid and Eve, they were such a great couple, the sexy times were plentiful and imaginative, and their verbal sparring entertaining, both of their strong characters complimented the other and the story-line worked really well around their relationshi ...more
So AMAZING grovel within this story and I loved the hidden crush element of this story.

In the town of Port Snow everyone knows everything about everyone. Gossip spreads faster than a wildfire, so it’s crazy the these two had no clue about the crush they each held for the other although it was apparent to everyone else.
Their friendship quickly transforms into much more and it’s everything they could have hoped f ...more
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I’m enjoying this series so much and I’m ready for more of this family!!!
Reid is all in with the curse business. Not only in love but with his love of coming, losing his restaurant, his best friend .. Eve is the twin to said best friend Eric. She's secretly crushed on Reid her entire life. But she's not willing to lose the person closest to her with outing her fe ...more
This book focuses on elusive brother Reid. We don’t know a ton about Reid from the first two books, other than he’s been dealt a rough hand. Reid started a restuarant with his best friend, Eric, and was swindled out of all their money, therefore losing the restaurant. He came home to Port Snow, Maine a broken man. BUT he wasn’t a brooding jerk like his two brothers, Griffin and Rogan.

Reid is lost, a failed chef whose dream of running his own restaurant were destroyed two years before, and he hasn’t cooked since. He has a chip on his shoulder, bitter at having to return to his hometown of Port Snow with his tail between his legs, becoming a fisherman and working at the family business. Adding on to the family l ...more
While I enjoyed this third entry in the Getting Lucky series, it wasn’t as strong as the previous two books for me and didn’t have the same sexy-sweet emotional pull. Reid had experienced a big career setback a couple years previously and took a serious punch to his self-confidence. While that was understandable, he tended to wallow in his feelings of failure and self-loathing and it got old. On the other hand, Eve was a rock star. She was a woman who knew her own worth and was not will ...more
Reid and Eve have the BEST friends to lovers romance. This is signature Meghan Quinn, with hilarious antics, sexy banter, low drama and high on feels.
These two have amazing chemistry, it was slow burn and I ate it up!
The Knightly family are such a fun bunch. I love them and their easy comrade with each other.
I loved the growth with Eve and her brother, Eric. It’s a journey all on it’s one and added so much to this story.
The end left me needing more and absolutely desperate for Brigs ...more
I think I've said it before....I really want to visit Port Snow and meet these people!! The Knightly family (including their significant others) has stolen my heart and Ms. Quinn has written them in a way that I really feel like I know them all.
That Secret Crush gives Reid his shot at love and he tries really hard to mess it up not just once...but several times. Reid has been battling self esteem issues for years. Basically, ever since he and his best friend, Eric had to c ...more
Let me be very clear. I hated everything about this book. Most of it enraged me and one scene disturbed me. The message the author sends to women in this book is truly disgusting. That message being that it doesn't matter if the man you're with doesn't respect you. It doesn't matter if he takes out all his frustrations on you. It doesn't matter if he gets upset when you try to have a conversation with him that doesn't revolve arou ...more
I love the way this book was written and how Reid becomes such a lovable man!
I think what I also loved was his beautiful family and how supportive they all are of each other!

Reid and Eve, along with the rest of the Knightly clan, deliver one incredible laugh out loud story with a punch to the gut when a misunderstanding threatens to tear this couple apart. Now 3-years later, Reid is a lobster fisherman, a job he doesn’t love but makes ends meet. Eric is still living in Boston, but at least Reid still has Eric’s twin sister, Eve, to call a friend. ...more
There is just something about these Knightly boys that they get into the depths of your soul.
Reid doesn’t know his own self-worth and is his own biggest critic. He no longer has the spark to do what he used to, he lost it all and wants no part of that again... until one night with Eve. Reid finally gives in to his secret crush on Eve and makes the move. Their connection is explosive in a good way. Being childhood friends means he knows all ...more
When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the ...more
