I’ve always believed that love was hard and when you found it, you held onto it with everything you have.
That wasn’t the case with Ryan.
Loving him was easy, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t hold onto him.
Because I wear a crown.
And he's a single father raising a child...five thousand miles away. ...more

4 Star Review Throne Away by Leddy Harper
Leddy Harper is a relatively new author to me but what I have read, I have found to be well written with characters that are easy to relate too and fun.
This is a Cinderella story with a difference. Ryan is a single father, a commoner who after a chance meeting falls for Princess Moria who is soon to become the Queen of Ilunabarra. However Ryan has no idea who she really is and when she stands him up is disappointed.

Royalty meets a commoner is right up my alley and Leddy Harper did not disappoint. As I read Moira (I love her name) and Ryan's story I couldn't contain my giddiness because I always want the underdog to win.
When Moira meets Ryan he has no clue as to who she is and of course she doesn't offer up the information. I could feel the immediate connection between them and I continued to hope that they would make it. Ryan main priority is his daughter so he feels he has no business trying to hope afte ...more

One of my favorite tropes is Royalty Fiction and that's what drew me to Leddy Harper's new book "Throne Away". Normally the royal type stories that we read are the guy is the Prince or King and the female is the commoner that they fall in love. Throne Away by Leddy Harper is a reversal of roles as the male is the commoner - Ryan and the royal figure is Princess Moira. The book starts with Moira who has managed to escape her security for her last night in the US and is standing on the pier. From

I will read anything that Leddy Harper writes without even reading the blurb. If she writes it. I will read it. I was so excited to read Throne Away because of the whole royal family aspect of this one. Throne Away is a fun, sweet read that is about a Princess and a commoner who meet by chance on a pier. Moira feels the weirdest sense of déjà vu when she first meets Ryan. And when they find that actually have a connection from their past, it feels right. All except for the tiny little detail she's been keeping from him, a detail that can prevent their entire relationship from being.
Throne Away is one of those sweet, lighthearted reads that sometimes you're just in the mood for. I really enjoyed it and thought Ryan and Moira were a great couple, made even better by the addition of his adorabl ...more

This is a fun entertaining Cinderella with a twist read, in this story Moria is the princess who is about to takeover as Queen of Ilunabarra and Ryan is the commoner who also happens to be a single dad.
A chance meeting on pier has this couple wondering if fate is pushing them together because she is from the small island that Ryan spent so many happy holidays in his youth and when Moria stands him up the next day he realises he needs to show his daughter the Island that ...more

I've been waiting for this ever since I signed up. The blurb did me in, plus it was from Leddy Harper—one of my go-to author.
This is a reverse cinderella story with a twist. Ryan was the commoner and Moira was the crown princess poised to takeover as Queen of the small island nation of Ilunabarra.
The book is basically about destiny... That what is meant to be will always find it's way. To be honest it started a little slow for me, and picked up somewhere round the middle... it was like they ...more

This royal romance was nothing like the ones I usually read. In this story our female lead, Moira, is the royal and our male lead, Ryan, is a single father. This unusual twist is what made me pick this book up.
Moira is Princess of Ilunabarra, an island country. After her brother’s death she finds herself on a pier at the States, her brother’s favorite place. Fate has it that she’ll meet Ryan and her whole life will change form that instance.

Royal romances are a guilty pleasure of mine, and I absolutely adored that Moria was the one that was the queen-to-be and her love interest, single dad Ryan, was the commoner. Such an excellent role reversal!

A fun read, the story of Moira and Ryan. They have a chance meeting in his home town, and then she stands him up the next day. He hasn't recognised her and she is glad, but all is revealed when he turns up on his holidays in her home country.

This book is an unusual take on a royal romance, the royal wasn’t a prince, but a princess unwilling to take the crown. The commoner, she falls in love with, is a single dad, whose wife left him and who lives thousands of miles from her country.
These two unlikely lovers meet without knowing anything about each other and fall in love.
It was beautiful to read how Moira and Ryan met, fell in love and overcame the obstacles on their way to their Happily Ever After.

A Princess and a commoner; Moira and Ryan have the star crossed lovers vibe going on. Life will always keep bring you back to the one you are meant to be with. It is up to Ryan and Moira to recognize fate will lead them to love. Harper did a good job in world building and had many subplots going on to push the story forward.

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Leddy Harper’s Throne Away is the first book of hers I’ve read. I was drawn to it because it has been some time since I’ve read a royalty romance. Even more, the blurb promised a different take on it. It includes a single dad trope, and it sounded like a challenge to embrace.
Thone Away has some great qualities. Harper invests us in her characters with their trials. Ryan is a single father; his wife is manipulative and, quite frankly, a con-artist. He sacrifices his comfort ...more

How random are random meetings? Do we randomly meet people in our lives, or is the meeting orchestrated by some higher power? Throne Away is not like any other royal romance I've ever read, and all of the coincidences -- or not -- between Ryan and Moira and the times their lives have crossed paths are fascinating.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...
I was really interested in this story, how would a future queen and American single dad make it work?
Unfortunately, this book fell a little flat for me and I never really got lost in the story. I really did like Ryan, Amara, Mandy and Libby, but I couldn’t connect with Moira who only seemed to complain about her situation throughout the entire book. The book did have romance but I feel it focused more on Moira’s royal duties more ...more

I have always enjoyed Leddy Harper's stories, but I have to say, Throne Away is her best book yet!
Leddy is known for her fun-loving, witty characters. This time, though, she's taken a different turn and given her readers a royal romance with characters that you will instantly fall in love with. When Ryan sees a woman looking alone and emotional, he can’t just walk away but he never expected the intense connection and chemistry that he would feel for her. They make plans to see each other the next day but the drama and demands of their lives doesn’t allow that to happen so instead he wonders about what could have been.

Throne Away by Leddy Harper
“Again and again, 5 stars”
I adored Throne Away. Ryan and Moira couldn’t be more opposite if they tried. He’s a single dad just trying to get by and she’s royalty. When they meet, they click right away, then they run into each other again, in another country. I loved it. But because of Moira’s life as a royal she can’t be with Ryan. Not only is he not from her country but he’s a single dad. Then again, she’s never been one to follow the rules.

I was given this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked that this story was the reverse of the typical royal romance.
This is a story of a princess that falls in love with a commoner. I especially loved that their story seemed to have begun well before when they met “for the first time”.

What I loved most about this book is the way it’s so different from all of Harper’s other books. I was drawn in immediately from the first page. As I read, I needed to know how Moira and Ryan’s story would end up, turning the pages quickly to get to the end but at the same time, trying to savor it as I read.

Everyone wants to be a princess right?
But what about a queen? What would you choose, being. Queen or the man whose crosses your path and makes you question fate?
Two different worlds, two different futures but only one Destiny.
Not your everyday Princess story but what a beautiful story of hope, live, fate and chance.
Leddy always seems to suck me in and keep me page turning, she has a way with words and this book is no different.

How many times do you see someone and think you've met before? Have an instant attraction, and comfort level that normally requires years.
Moria starts her journey far younger than what you are introduced. She's lost her brother and just wants to feel connected to something.
Ryan is a photographer. His favorite sets are of natural beauty, sunrise, sunsets, oceans, anything that nature gives.

Loved this twist on a Cinderella story. Throne Away by Leddy Harper was flirty, romantic, definitely swoony and so fun to read!
This Cinderella story has a major twist since our hero, Ryan, is a single dad, a commoner, and has no idea who Princess Moira is. I think the twist was really well done and the chemistry and banter between the MCs was just spot on. I found myself smiling so big at some of their exchanges. But truly, I melted for Ryan. Throne Away is a fun and emotional read that will give you all the feels! Its a forbidden royal romance with amazing characters and an addictive storyline. I immediately fell in love with Moira and Ryan's characters. Their story makes you wonder how many times you cross paths with someone before you really meet them and makes you think about fate and destiny. The plot twists and turns kept me hooked till the last page and the secondary characters are a perfect addition to this story!

This book, this book! It was so beautiful. A story about fate and Destiny and love that is truer then true. My heart was so invested in Ryan and Moria being together that I think it shattered about a hundred times. Ryan is such a strong amazing guy. Moria has the strength of a thousand warships but the weight of a country is heavy on anyone's shoulders. The story end way to fast for me. The plot WAS SO GOOD. The characters were realistic and believable..
