This is a very personal story I was looking for some children books to gift it to a little cousin who is just 5-7 years of age with a little more than just fantasy stories so I came across this book called "Chloe Counting Jamaica by 3s". Talking about the title of the book it's based on the previous book which the has written also the 3s in the title is for the difference and the sequence which is perfectly relevant. Talking about the cover of the book I really like the vibe that outer cover gav

I loved how this book blended so much together in order to tell a picturesque story about a young girl's trip to Jamaica. I would definitely use this in my classroom to help children understand the connection between multiple subjects and the world outside of school. Also, I throughly appreciated the appendices at the end of the book that included terminology as well as real photographs taken by the author to help continue learning outside of the book's pages.

Jamaica For Me Please!
Loved this book! So different from much of what we’ve been reading lately. It’s a great way to teach children about another country (Jamaica) and talk about all of the things Chloe sees and does which encompass much of Jamaica’s culture. Then add in the skip counting , which makes the book truly unique. Awesome way to teach your children math as well. The legend in the back with the Jamaican words was a nice touch too.

Great concept
I loved the writing and the idea for this book but I wasn’t a fan of the illustrations or the book’s layout. This is a story I could read aloud to my classroom and they’d enjoy but especially with learning about Jamaica, more detailed, professional illustrations would have taken this book from

Great read for kids!
This book is an excellent source of information about Jamaica including a reference guide at the end. I love how the author placed different ways of counting 3's throughout the book. Kids will learn lots of interesting facts about the culture, and language of Jamaica as they read along. Great idea for a children's book. ...more
