What does a guy do when he has always had a thing for his best friend's sister. When he was a geek, she was his dream girl. Now it has been 10 years and he isn't the geek anymore. The thing is, he still has a thing for this girl, now woman, and he has decided to make her see...he is the one for her.

This tale had all the sweet, sexy fun Erin McCarthy is known for. Five First Dates
is a book related to Weekend Wife. There is the same circle of friends

Maddox has been in love with his best friend's older sister for what seems like forever. He's not the shy nerdy comic book-reading guy he used to be anymore, and now that he's rooming with Savannah while he's filming a reality show, he plans on showing her just how much of a man is now. Only he doesn't just want to be with her in that kind of way, he wants everything from her - her heart along with her body.

Savannah cannot believe the change in her little brother's best friend. No longer

After reading Erin McCarthys Weekend Wife, I was eager for the side characters to have their stories told. With Five First Dates, such is what we are given.

Although Five First Dates tells the story of a character introduced in Weekend Wife, both books work perfectly fine as standalone novels. I enjoyed getting to see more of the characters and Im even more excited for future characters to get their stories told, but entering this as a standalone is also perfectly fine.

From the start, Five First

McCarthy brings light to an often times dreary day. Her mysteries are eccentric, her characters are eclectic and her sense of humor is a welcome breath of fresh air. Five First Dates is a perfectly, imperfect temptation that proves itself irresistible on multiple levels. Chase away your blues and open your heart to an addictive kind of fun.

One of my favorite Romance Troupe's is the brother's best friend. I think there is a lot of diversity in this type because you sometimes have the brother that is happy but most of the time you get the brother who does not want you touching their sister. Five First Dates was about Savannah and Maddox. Savannah is a single mother to a newborn who is unlucky when it comes to relationships. She is the girl who always lets her heart lead her brain and falls for the idea of being in love with someone ...more

Absolutely adorable!

I loved this friends-to-lovers, but wait, he's also her live-in manny ;) romance! Maddox and Savannah are an absolutely wonderful couple--I loved watching him turn his teenaged crush into the real thing, and even though her learning to trust herself with relationships was a longer, more painful road, the end result made it all worth it in the end.

Adorable, smexy, hot tattooed man, and one cooing baby that will melt your heart. First Five Dates has it all! Every ovary bursting moment that I read in one sitting!

Maddox has had a crush on Savannah since he was a teenage boy. He's best friends with her brother, so it was a bit awkward to ever say much about that crush when he was a gangly teen, but it's now years later and Savannah is a single mother which only has intensified his crush into a deep lust now that they are adults. When the first line in a book is,

"I should have worn a bra."

you know you're in for a treat. Five First Dates was my second book by Erin McCarthy and I absolutely loved it, especially because this book follows the group of friends we were introduced to in Leah and Grant's story, "The Weekend Wife."

Savannah is a single-mother to her six-month old son Sully. Despite having bad luck in relationships she continues to have hope of one day finding her true love. She dreams to be whisked away by

A view weeks ago I read my first Erin McCarthy book Weekend Wife. I absolutely loved that book, so when I got the opportunity to read this book, I couldnt resist. And the fun part, although this book isnt part of a series, the main characters of both books are from the same circle of friends.. and I love that.

In Five First Dates we meet Savannah, a single mom who is known for being one to easily get swept of her feet. Now she is a mom, and she tries to change her ways. The first thing she has to

Another one-click from Erin McCarthy! A fun read that you won't be able to stop yourself from finishing in one sitting.

Single, exhausted, new mom, Savannah, just needs a little help with the baby . . . or so she thinks. Help arrives in the form of gorgeous, inked up, sexy-on-a-stick, Maddox, her brother's best friend. He's looking for a place to stay while filming a new reality show, Rebel Ink. Savannah's looking for someone to watch the baby a few hours a day. Perfect, right?? What could

This book was so easy to read. I read it so fast! The authors hero was, of course, incredibly sexy and a skilled lover. He looked like a bad boy, but was actually an incredibly nice guy. He sounded like my dream come true. He was a young man who was very mature, amazing with babies, and more than willing to settle down with the woman he had been in love with since he was a teenager. The heroine was confused about what she really wanted and had difficulty seeing past superficial details and ...more

I love single parent romances and this one is absolutely adorable! I was completely smitten with Maddox and couldnt help but feel like Savannah was one of my best friends. Oh and dont get me started on little Sully! I loved seeing Maddox fall for the girl and the baby! This is a super sweet single mom/brothers best friend romance that will have you swooning and giggling the whole time!

This was a great book about second chances and not settling for less than you deserve. Maddox needs a place to stay while he is starting a new job/ filming a show. Savannah needs help taking care is her son. He moves in, as a favor to her brother and his best friend. Neither one of him realizes that Maddox has another reason, besides helping her, to move in. He has been in love with her for years and he wants to show her they could be together.

A fun, charming story that will make you smile.

Five First Dates by Erin McCarthy, is a standalone romantic comedy, it does have characters from Weekend Wife, but its not necessary to have read that book first, although it does add a level of fun you wont have if you dont.

I totally enjoyed Savannah and Maddoxs story in Five First Dates: A Brother's Best Friend
by Erin McCarthy. Savannah is a single mom, only because she tends to pick the wrong guys. This time she is letting four of her friends set her up on dates with guys they believe will be her Mr. Right. Four chances to finally get her fantasy happily ever after. Wyatt, Savannahs brothers best friend, needed a place to stay while in New York City filming a pilot for a reality show; is sleeping on her couch.

I will start my review by saying that I am an Erin McCarthy fan. I have read and own most of her books. Five First Dates was a very fun, sweet with just a touch of spice rom com. We were first introduced to Savannah in Weekend Wife. It is not necessary to read it before however it was a great book and shouldn't be missed. I havent read too much by Erin McCarthy so far but this was the perfect low key story to bring some laughs during the crazyness the world is going through right now!

Savanah is a new mom working on raising her six month old son by herself. While its hard work she wouldnt trade it for the world. She knows she has a history of picking all the wrong guys so she has her four best friends each pick a date for her to go on! Sound like it might be a disaster in the making? Well it just may be.

Maddox is... sigh. He's flirty, fit and one filthy talker who is just what single mom Savannah needs in her life. Who cares if Maddox is her little brother's best friend? Well, Savannah cares but what is she to do? Maddox is helping her as a part-time Manny while he's in town filming a reality show.

Savannah is SHOCKED when she opens her door to Maddy. The cute best friend of her little brother, whom she hasn't seen in 5 years. And boy has those 5 years been good to him! Filled out and no longer

Erin McCarthy brings yet another wonderful book to your collection with Five First Dates. This new release features a single mom trope as well as brother's best friend trope. As a sucker for both, it was no surprise that I fell hard and fast for Maddox and Savannah.

Oblivious to Maddox's childhood crush and everything she has to offer a man, Savannah takes her four friends up on being a matchmaker. Except Savannah has no clue Maddox wants to get her last first date.

Super fun and sexy best-friend's brother story!

Savannah is a single mom, trying to survive and re-enter the dating world. She's a bit gun-shy after her baby daddy split once he learned that she was pregnant. Enter her friends: They're all going to set her up on a date, and she's going to try to find her forever.

There's a giant wrench in this plan though - her brother's best friend is now living with her while he's filming a reality television show. Last time she saw Maddox "Maddy" he was a

I was so excited to read Five First Dates by Erin McCarthy because this author had me at Weekend Wife and it's wonderful characters. This is a very flirty, sexy, and sweet read. The single parent falling for brother's best friend storyline melts my heart. Maddox is that character that had me wanting to jump into the storyline and clinging to him like a spider monkey. This was such a fun rom-com! It had me laughing, but also completely emotionally invested in Savannah and Mad's relationship. It had a lot of heat and also some family drama, and it was just a fun time. The sibling's best friend trope is one of my favorites, especially if it's done well, and McCarthy did it well.
