I love being back in the Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides world. In this series, Dakonians come to Earth to look for mates, as they have very few women left on their planet after an asteroid hit and released a virus that affected females more than males. In Kord, Barb Quintain, who has had small parts in previous books, gets to find love. I like Barb. She’s the owner of Barbie Q’s Restaurant. She’s a Dolly Parton type, where her hair and breasts are not real. But, also like Dolly, she’s very swe ...more

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for an honest review. This was another great romance in the Dakonian dating series. I love Barb of the famed Barbie Q’s restaurant. We first visited Barb when Moxie and Sixx went there and I loved seeing it again. Barb is much deeper than I’d first thought. Her bright smile hides a painful past and she tries to be good enough so no one will suspect she’s less than what she seems. At least in her reality she’s a kind compassionate person who looks ...more

Another great read in the Alien Mail Order Brides Series! If you haven't read any of these books you will find a very entertaining a sci fi alien romance that you will love.
Kord, a Dakonian, is searching for his mate when his date dumps him on the way to Barb's Barbie Q restaurant. Barb has had a very difficult life, when she meets the Kord at the restaurant he knows that he has found his fated mate. Now he has to convince his stubborn mate Barb that they belong together. I can't wait now to se

I loved this! the interactions between the charachters and the misinterpretations of sayings etc made it funny too! Kord is part of the IDA but keeps getting gold diggers as his dates, much to his chagrin. Then he walks into Barbie Qs and meets Barb! She has also joined IDA but not met anyone to her liking but is scared of the connection she has with Kord!
Their dancing around each other leads to some mayhem and ultimately dating! This is a HEA ending and I loved the interplay with a well crafte

Another delectable Dakonian love story!
Barb Quintain is the owner of the highly successful Barbie Q restaurant. Kord, a Dakonian, is searching for his mate. Maybe if their applications to IDA hadn’t been fudged, they would have better success with the dates sent their way! I get a kick out of the Dakonians’ misunderstanding of human euphemisms! Barb keeps up a rigid façade so people won’t see her faults. I began to doubt that Kord would ever reach his objective. Their story is full of humor, rom

Smoldering sweetness wrapped in a gorgeous alien bow! Another Dakonian finds his fated match and thus begins the courtship filled with hysterical misunderstandings due to the language barrier, along with learning what is so easy on Dakon is more of a tough mudder on Earth. But through it all romance is interwoven and will fill your heart to over brimming. This author has created characters that you will love and have you on the lookout for large, gorgeous, alien men - just pay attention to the h ...more

another great story in the dakonian mail order brides series. poor barbie has so many insecurities from a terrible childhood that she can't and won't trust anyone or anything esp love while kord knows for sure they are fated mates and meant to be together and has always experienced the warmth and love of a close family unit. two more opposite type ppl there could never be and fate has to work very hard to get them to meet in the middle and barbie to realize they were meant to be together and tha ...more

This was the fourth book in the Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides series and was about Barb & Kord. We briefly met Barb in the previous book so it was nice to see her story and I enjoyed seeing how things worked out with Kord. Kord came to earth with his brother Braxx who signed them both up without telling Kord first. While this book is centered around Barb and Kord's romance we get a peek at the next book's story about Holly and Braxx when they meet when Braxx comes to meet Barb. I look forward ...more

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.
I've never read any of Cara's Dakonian mail order series, but I"ll definitely be hunting up more. The story was awesome! Barb Quintain has an interesting character show up at her restaurant and the laughs start. Language misunderstandings had me laughing till my face hurt. Kord is so lovable and horny in more ways than one. I so loved this character. I'm going to be hunting for more of this series. A seriously good read.

Loved Kord's and Barb's story. On the outside, Barb has it all together but on the inside, due to her upbringing, she feels like she could not be enough. Kord recognizes her immediately as his fated mate and Barb struggles daily with how she feels about him. Finally, afters some words from her father on his deathbed, she decides to accept and be Kord's mate. Lovely alien happily every after. ...more

It was good, but I was very disappointed in the female character. She came across as neurotic and an idiot instead of strong. Kord just came across as an idiotic pushover. I so enjoyed the previous books in this series, but this one not near as much.

Once again, Ms. Cara Bristol has spun an amazing sci-fi romance with humor, with a touch of mystery and suspense. The new series is a spin-off from her Alien Mate series, where human women were sent to Dakon to be paired up with Dakonian men. In this new series, the Intergalactic Dating Agency has involved allowing alien men and human women to use a computer match-making program to help match them up, and the aliens will come to Earth. While this is part of a series, eac

After meeting the sassy Barb owner of a Texas-style BBQ restaurant in Sixx's story, I was tickled to discover that Barb was the heroine of this latest in the Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides stories.

Kord is the six book in a series of standalone stories about aliens coming to earth to hopefully find their fated mates through the help of the Intergalactic Dating Agency.

Kord and his brother Braxx have been on several agency related dates and can't seem to figure out why the matches are far from be

In Kord, Kord comes to Earth and joins the IDA (intergalactic Dating Agency) To find his fated mate. He has been on date after date, and nothing is working out. It turns out his brother filled out his application and filled it out in a way that he thought would appeal to Earth women. So poor Kord is getting set up with nothing but gold diggers. When his latest date ends in disaster, he finds himself in the presence of his fated mate, his waitress at a barbeque restaurant.

This was kind of a quick, silly SciFi romance. Unfortunately I don’t really like quick and silly when it comes to this genre for the most part. I prefer books with good world building and this book did not have that. I didn’t dislike it but it didn’t make me want to keep going. It’s the typical damned with faint praise kind of thing.

Kord is from another planet that is short on women. There is this whole interplanetary dating system set up and he signs up to come to earth to meet his one true lov

Kord being part of the IDA hasn't had the best of luck with women yet, they all just want his money. While on a date she leaves him and Kord walks to restaurant where he has going to take his date but she didn't want any part of it. Barb the owner couldn't believe her eyes hello Mr. Hotness. While she was as having bad luck also. Kord came back and applied to be the bus boy and from there women were flocking him for a date. It was a pleasure to read this outstanding, entertaining Sci-fi alien romance. The plot is delightfully well-written & it certainly kept my attention with some unexpected situations. The characters are well developed & interesting with undeniable chemistry.
There is: a apparently confident woman (Barb) with a painfully past comes into contact with a Dakonian male (Kord) who is prepared to do anything to claim her but there are a few problems from her past that stand in his way, Barb’s caring fri

Barb thought being the best restaurant in town was the way to happiness. Little did she know it's actually in a huking, horned, alien! Barbie Q’s was busy before she got railroaded into hiring Kord. She set a strict no fraternising policy, so she's be a total hypocrite if she gave in to all the fiery chemisty Kord is throwing her way.

She learned a long time ago to rely on herself and to fake it till she could make it. Kord seems to see right through the blonde haired, bimbo, Texan Pageant girl f

Barb didn’t think she would ever find someone. He just happened to walk into her restaurant. Kord knew the moment he saw Barb that she was his Fated Mate. Now he just has to get her to believe it. It’s funny how they met. I do love that she is sticking to her own policy but you are not fooling anyone. These two are meant to be. They are funny. And it takes a lot of work on Kord’s part. Barb had a crappy childhood and needs to have the belief in love again. Plus the fact that children are a part ...more

When Kord comes to Earth he never imagined that he would find his mate. Barb has her hands full with running her restaurant and is not looking for a man. Yet there is something about Kord that pulls at her. Their story is a cute read. Barb is a strong and brash woman who hides behind her shields so she will not get hurt. Kord is a man who is ready to do whatever it takes to prove to Barb that they fit together and are meant to be. I enjoyed seeing the way their relationship grew into something m ...more

A quick read. The ongoing saga of Dakonian males looking for human mates via the Interer galactic dating agency. Thanks to some rather fanciful writing on their resumes by Kord's brother, they end up getting dates with gold diggers rather than love matches.
Then Kord ends up eating brisket at Barbie Q's and meets Barb. The owner is a larger than life character who hides her own insecurities. She's not sure if she wants a relationship, but Kord convinces her to give it a try.

I loved this book. It's fun and interesting. Kord is lovely. The sort of man anyone would love to be with. Poor Barb is generous and very sweet but so hurt and scared. Their interaction is hot, sexy and uneasy. Kord is very willing to fight for her. All the characters are very well written and strong. There are plenty of fun scenes and lots of real life to hold the reader's. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. Another great read.

This is another great read in the Dakonian A!ien Mail Order Brides series. Kord and Barb were endearing characters. Kord couldn't figure out why he hadn't been matched with a bride until he walked into her place and saw her. He knew that she was his he just had to convince her.

This was a fun alien romance! I really enjoy the Dakonian race, and their efforts to adapt to American society, and Kord did not disappoint with his efforts to woo Barb. She was a very easy character to empathize with, and she found myself really rooting for the couple! I hope to hear about them in his brother’s book next!

This story is laugh out loud funny. I just love the confusion of the aliens with our language and sayings. Barb was a great character who had a lot of things to work through from her childhood. Kord did not really understand those things but he tried so hard. Lovely story with a great ending.

Once again this book is great.

I just bought book 6 so you know how much I enjoy this author's stories. Wasn't sure these two where going to make it. But once you've gotten to the end love 💘 conquers all.
