This was a steamy sports romance. I love baseball, so it was super easy for me to fall for Gage Young. He played one of my favorites sports and he was a catcher! Win win. He was also a sexy single dad who loved his son. He meets Nina Mitchell a former softball player and now the coach of his son's little league team.

Dennie’s contribution to this world give us a sexy dad who is ready to bat for love. Gage is the height of his career. He is a playboy who has room in his life for only one woman . His daughter who is his world. Until Nina gets under his nerves and makes his revaluate his life.
Gage is one of those sport players. He gets the best in his world. He has his needs met and Nina can see right through it. Nina is feisty, she isn’t afaid to speak her mind to him and tell how things are. She knows the game well and Gage is surprised thinking she is one of those woman. A chaser who is looking for a player to catch .
Until realises she is his daughter’s coach and the sparring goes to another level. As Gage hasn’t forgotten their encounter and soon they are forced to a game that getting more complicated by the minute.
Both of these characters had the best intentions for themselves and it’s fun seeing these two go at each other and realise what it’s important for them both. Both of the families are at stake with the problems at hand that could change the way their relationship went. Their romance was full of passion and tension that made the it all right when it counted. It’s a fun sport romance and I look forward to reading more of this author’s work in the future

This is a new to me author so I was looking forward to Cocky Catcher. I really enjoyed this story.
Gage is a single dad who is also a hot popular baseball player. Nina is an ex softball player who is coaching the little league team.

I’m finding the Cocky Hero Club to be very hit and miss. Some books tick all my boxes, but other books are not for me. Cocky Catcher falls into the later category. I’m sure many will enjoy this one, but it didn’t work for me.
My problem with this one was that I just couldn’t connect to it at all. I did not like the characters, which left me uninterested in their story. I kept waiting for something to hit me hard, but none of the events sucked me in the way I had hoped.

I get that not every book is for every reader, and I'm finding that the Cocky Hero Club world is either really good.. or not really good, but I just couldn't with this one. I've never been so disinterested. I could not care less about our hero or heroine, mainly because I didn't like either of them, and I didn't connect with the actual story at all. Plus, did the story actually make sense? Because to me, it did not.
This was a huge miss for me.

sigh ... did anyone even beta read this book before ARCs were sent out? I mean I get that ARCs are not a *finished* product and may have grammatical errors but this is the story, right? Someone read this and told the author everything made sense .... right?

Gage know his appeal both as the star catch for his team and when it comes to women and isn’t afraid to let everyone around him know it as well. His first meeting with Nina did not go well and although he can’t stop thinking about her he never expected to see her again until he drops his daughter off for her softball team practice and finds out she is her coach.
Nina helps her family run the community center and she uses her skills from playing softball at an elite level to coach a girl’s team. The first time she met Gage she thought he was entitled but the more time she spends with him the more attracted she is to him in spite of herself.
There was no denying the chemistry and connection and although mistakes were made between them an Gage’s grand gesture was enough to make you swoon.
Nina helps her family run the community center and she uses her skills from playing softball at an elite level to coach a girl’s team. The first time she met Gage she thought he was entitled but the more time she spends with him the more attracted she is to him in spite of herself.

I said this in a previous review for this series, but I'm loving getting to read new-to-me authors and I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Dennie's writing style. Not an overly long story, but long enough to feel a connections with the characters and their evolving feelings for each other. Add in baseball and Gage as a single dad to a precocious and adorable little girl and you've got me hooked.

Omg i absolutely love this book. Gage and Nina were like fire and ice but once gage realized she wasn't going to put up with ego and cocky ways its then he realizes what's important in life. Nina worked hard for what she's accomplished in life but she doesn't do big egos and cocky men but when push comes to shove can they both meet in the middle and worked together?

Gage is a baseball player who is also a single dad. Gage is attracted to Nina who is a girls softball coach who at one time was a baseball player too. Now she is just trying to save the community center family runs. The more they get to know each other the more they learn that they aren't who their first impression of each other are. Enjoyed this book.

5 Star Review Cocky Catcher by Chiquita Dennie
Chiquita Dennie is a new author to me and I have no idea why that is. This is Gage Young and Nina Mitchell’s story. This was was a quick, entertaining read that had me hook, line and sinker.
I love single parent stories and this one ticked the boxes for me. From start to finish I was engrossed in their story and didn’t want it to end.
This was a well written, emotional, funny, romantic story with characters that you cannot help but fall for.
This was a fast paced story that I happily recommend.

OMG! I've volunteered this book for United Indie Book Blog. Cocky Catcher is another great addition to the Cocky Hero Club series. Chiquita Dennie is a new to me author. Gage is the all-star catcher for the New York Raptors. Also, a single dad to a wonderful little girl. Nina is a former All-star softball player, who is also a coaching a little league softball team. This was a quick, entertaining read that engages you from the beginning. Nina and Gage's story is entertaining, witty, and steamy. Nina is trying to keep her family community center up and running. But someone is trying to buy it from them and not caring who gets hurt or loses their job. Can Nina and Gage work through of what his family has done to her? You need to give this book a shot, you won't regret it! I know that I didn't. I HIGHLY recommend reading this ONE!!! Keep up the amazing work. I can't wait to read more from this author.

4 Sexy Catcher Stars!! If I didn't already love baseball, I'm obsessed now!
Gage is THE best baseball player in the world, and he's just signed a billion dollar contract, yep you read that right. And he's not modest about his skills, he knows he's the best and he's not afraid to tell you so. He's used to being in the spotlight and well, he thrives in it. He's also a single dad, who loves his daughter. Nina is an ex-softball player that's now coaching Gage's daughters team. These two haven't had the best run ins with each other and Nina hates Gage's cockiness. And she's not afraid to tell him so either! Can two hard headed people make it work?
This is the first book I've read by Chiqiuta and this makes me sad. So after reading this book, I fully plan on binging her other books. I really loved this addition to the Cocky World. As much as you don't want to like Gage, your heart can't help but open up to him when you see how he is with his little girl! And Nina is a tough as nails lead female and you will be rooting for her and all her sassiness!!!

Chiquita Dennie is a new to me author. I really enjoyed her writing style. She is a very descriptive writer and I enjoyed it tremendously. Her writing really creates a community of characters. There were a lot of names, but it wasn’t terrible to keep track of who’s who. They all add value to the story and to the development of characters.

Gage is not only a Billionaire Catcher he is also in the eyes of Nina a Cocky Catcher - he thinks so much of himself that it is a wonder he can get through the door. But for all that Gage has an adorable little Tailynn who has got her dads sass down to a T.
From the first time Gage literally bumped into Nina in the street he has fantasied about her and what he would like to do with her, to her and everything else in the middle. When Gage finds out that Nina is his daughters softball coach he thinks the gods are on his side!
Of cause with any good romance we need a some trouble in paradise well this a bit bigger than slight! Gage comes from money and his dad loves buying up family run local business to put in big malls, only trouble is the one they want now is owned by Nina's family.
Oops this romance is about to get bumpy! I loved Tailynn and it was great to see divorced parents getting all. Some great one liners and a really enjoyable hot read!

Oh Man what can I say about this story is that I LOVE BASEBALL and this was right up my alley. Nina loves baseball to it's her life. She has such passion to helping her family and other's it's what's her life mission. When the place she loves to much is in trouble her and her siblings try to save it. But someone bigger is at play. What she doesn't expect is to get help from a player who she wants to slap and kiss at the same time. Gage young is cocky and knows it. But he's good at what he does. What I loved about this is his daughter and the dynamic between him and her mom. When Gage and Nina meet it's baseball and sparks flying, but sometimes things don't work out. When Gage's family try's to tie him up it may all go down hill from there.

Chiquita Dennie's Cocky Catcher had a predictable plot we have seen before but, it was followed up with great character development and great visual stimulation. It was easy to picture everything in great detail without 50 pages of scene development.
I loved the main characters. Nina was a no nonsense woman that did not take any crap and didn't allow fame and fortune to determine the outcome. She said what she said and stuck to her convictions.
Gage was a typical rich, cocky athlete. He was used to getting everything and every female he wanted and seeing his persistence with Nina was refreshing. I especially enjoyed the scene where we see a complete change in him.
This book isn't completely unexpected, but the road getting there was well established and fleshed out. This is my first ever book by this author and I will definitely check out her other works.
Cocky Catcher is a stand-alone novel that is part of the Cocky World books. Each book in this series can be read in any order.

I mostly liked the book. There were a few times that I got lost. I'm planning to give it another listen in a few weeks to confirm if it was me getting distracted. For now, let's say that these two ran hot and cold - frequently at odds where the other one was. Sometimes it was funny. Other times, they simply drove each other crazy.
I did love Gage's pet names for his favorite women - Little Bit and Babydoll. Even when he was a jerk, they made him seem a bit sweeter.
I liked the voices of both of the narrators, Sean Crisdon & Nicole Small, but Sean often seemed rushed. There were times that extra breaths or a slightly slower pace were needed to better send the message / set the tone for what was happening.

Gage Young is the hottest catcher/player in the league, and a single father to an adorable little girl. Nina Mitchell was an All Star softball player, but these days she's helping her parents out with their family's business while coaching a little league softball team which has Gage's daughter as a player. They have chemistry that's for sure, but she's not even trying to face it, so she puts Gage off. Just as they're getting closer, his family's business is messing with her family's business, so how will they get through that?! I'm an obsessed freak show sports kind of girl, so I'm always about any sports romance, and while I did enjoy this one, it's wasn't quite the grand slam for me. Don't go by my opinion though, hit those one click buttons to decide for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Cocky Catcher intertwines in the world of Stuck Up Suit and gives us a bad boy by the name of Gage. Nina and Gage's story is entertaining, witty, steamy and filled with just enough drama to have you captivated right to the very end. A story that made me laugh, smile and had me falling in love with these two. Gage and Nina have a chemistry that can be felt from the first time they meet and it never wavers. Their story will take you on a ride of push and pull as Nina struggles to keep her heart at bay. Nothing short of a home run for Cocky Catcher.

Gage is a successful baseball player. He has it all he is smoking hot ball player but he is also a dad to Tailynn .
He loves spending time with his good but when he is not playing ball or being a father he loves the ladies. While out with another woman he bumps into Nina literally. These two definitely have chemistry and they have a lot of passion as per their interaction with one another. They definitely heat up when they talk baseball. This was another good sexy story with great characters!

I'll start off by saying that I received an advanced copy of this book, and I plan to read the final edition of this book to see if they match up.
The story I read had a lot of promise and started off strong, but there were several spots where the storyline seemed off and like pieces were missing. It did distract from the story a little bit, which was disappointing.
However. This book still had a pretty strong storyline. Gage is one of those alpha males that most women fall all over - but the one woman who doesn't is the one that captures his attention. As a superstar baseball player, he's definitely used to getting his way - but there's more to his story than you think, and it was interesting (in a good way) to see that dynamic intertwined with his storyline. He and Nina have this pull between them that is totally undeniable, but Nina is a strong and independent woman with an interesting storyline of her own, and she's not easily won over by Gage's charm (which I love).
Besides the storyline being choppy in some places, it was a solid read and one that this baseball fan did enjoy! Thanks to the author for an advanced copy of this book.
