Picked this on a whim when I saw it on KU and it was a great decision. It has a very sweet older woman-younger man romance. The hero is adorable and 100% so into the heroine. I also really loved the secondary cast and look forward to reading their books!

Thank you NetGalley, the author for being so accommodating, & Tempest and Kite Publishing LLC for providing a review copy!

This book is about Winnie and Daniel.
Winnie works as a nurse/midwife in the same hospital as Daniel, who is a doctor. This book is about love at first sight, age gap, dyslexia and being accepted for the choices you make.
I won't give spoilers, but i liked the chemistry between the main characters. I just wish that the depth of their feelings for each other was explored more. The author has done a great job with ...more

Thanks so much to NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book for an honest review. As always, all opinions are my own.
This book follows Winnie, a thirty-one-year-old midwife and Daniel, a twenty-something resident, both working at a rural hospital. For Daniel, meeting Winnie is love at first sight. For Winnie, however, the feeling is not mutual. At least, not really. But when Winnie needs a date to her mentor's wedding, she decides to bite the bullet and invite Daniel, mostly in an eff ...more

Pretty cute rom com type novel that I picked up as a Kindle freebie. The girl was older than the guy which provided some new and interesting dynamics. I don't normally care for hospital settings but it actually worked really well here. Cute couple, the male lead in particular impressed me.

PROS:
Small town romance between a doctor and a doula/midwife. Younger man/older woman. Lovable side characters, I cared enough to check out their books.
CONS:
I love cheesy romance but the hero was on the cringy side, I don't blame the heroine if she didn't find him attractive at all. Lots of fillers, to a point that this feels like it crammed a lot of things in one story and I wasn't a fan of the number of filler characters introduced to make you feel like you're in a small town where everyone kn ...more

Once again, I’m reading a genre that is very unlike me! I never read adult romance novels, usually because I have trouble finding clean ones, but I couldn’t resist the cute cover! It’s much better than the covers that most adult romances have. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book! Love gives no cares to age.
Small towns have a way of taking your heart, even when Winnie did not come to Timber Falls for anything but focusing on work. A midwife with a doctor for a mother as well, the last thing she needs is to fall for the younger doctor in her hospital.

I'm a little biased because I beta read this book, but if you're looking to de-stress with a feel good romance, small town romance, this is a good one to pick up. One of the things I like most about Fiona's books are that her characters aren't typical romance novel types, and though her romances are "clean", that doesn't mean they don't pack a little bit of heat. If you like romance that colors outside the lines a little bit, then I'd recommend trying any of Fiona's books.

Really cute!
I loved that the author made Daniel dyslexic and gave him the courage to not let it stop him from becoming a doctor. Winnie was intimidated by her mom, and at first, let it box her in. But Daniel brought her out of her shell, and it made her loosen up. Once she stood up to her mother, I think it allowed her mom to loosen up a little too.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

It's difficult for me to give feedback on this book without sounding too picky, but I'll try.
I liked this sweet romance a lot. But...there were a few things that gave me pause. First of all, I felt Winifred, the heroine, at 30, acted way older. Maybe that was a purposeful device by the author to make her seem out of date, isolated, and a loner. If it was, it worked.
If she intended to make the dyslexic hero who is a medical resident act like a nerdy teenager, she succeeded.

This is the first book in Fiona West’s new Timber Falls series. If you like small town shenanigans and wholesome characters this is for you! Could Be Something Good made me feel all warm and fuzzy - like an episode of Gilmore Girls but with less shouting 😂

Winnie is a midwife and Daniel is a resident. Daniel is attracted to Winnie immediately, but because of their age difference, Winnie resists his advances. Daniel is 24 yrs old, and Winnie is in her 30's. Winnie is abrupt and no-nonsense, whereas Daniel is more of a free spirit with a little bit of rakish reputation. However, once he sets his sights on Winnie, he is 100% devoted to her.

Welcome to Timber Falls in the first of a 6 book series. We start off with not 1, but 2 [seemingly] hot doctors, while the women are in stereotypical “female” rolls (nurse, beautician, teacher, librarian) and the one female doctor is portrayed as a cold, tough character.
This has all makings of a small town romance. We learn how entangled this cast of characters is early on and you can’t help but be excite ...more

This adorably sweet romance follows Winnie, a midwife/nurse in her 30's who falls in love with a handsome twenty-something doctor. Initially my eye was drawn to the bold and bright cover (hurray for awesome cover art!) but it was truly the synopsis that made my heart sigh. This book had feel-good written all over it and it was exactly what I was in the mood for.

Daniel and Winnie's meet-not so cute was brief, succinct and exhilarating to read, setting the stage for Winnie's witticism and Daniel's arrogant confidence.Winnie, an ambitious midwife with goals to accomplish and distractions to avoid after a recent breakup, moved to a small town with hopes of getting out from under her prominent, controlling mother's shadow. She is anxious to establish herself as a success, independent of her mother, as evidenced by the push-pull conversations and interactions
