Given to me as a gift 15 years ago to encourage me to take my rowing machine fitness out onto the water, I finally got around to reading this after taking the plunge and climbing into a boat (and subsequently capsizing it). Having tried it, the book finally makes sense to me. A lot of helpful information to a rookie rower.
Very good summary for fundamental techniques. Somewhat brief.
It is good to review the fundamental issues in an instructive book like this that is concise, the to follow up with observation of training videos on Youtube. The same instructional issues are covered by a vocal commentary as well as slo-mo in some cases.
