The Naughtiest Unicorn series: The Naughtiest Unicorn The Naughtiest Unicorn at Sports Day The Naughtiest Unicorn and the School Disco The Naughtiest Unicorn at Christmas
4.5/5 It's wonderful to see some of the other characters taking centre stage in this addition to the naughtiest unicorn series. I've been impressed from the beginning with the diversity among the children (and unicorns!) each of whom have different backgrounds and interesting personalities. I love finding new books for my students which reflect the multicultural, many abilitied nature of their own friend groups. Darcy, who is a wheel chair user, is the main focus here, but it's her big personality that causes her some trouble not her disability! Younger readers (6-10) are sure to enjoy this delightful caper - particularly the kinda gross, but very clever, problem solving strategies used by the gang 😅
My daughter loves this series. As a parent, I do enjoy the inclusionary nature of the stories and the desire to look beyond first impressions to find value in friendships.
I also find the short chapter nature ideal for bedtime reading, which is what I do with my daughter each evening before bed.
