COMING HOME TO THE COWBOY (Redemption Ranch Book 2) by Megan Ryder is a new cowboy contemporary second chance romance. The story is written by a new to me author that satisfied me with everything I look for in a genre romance. This is the second book in the series, but it can easily be read as a standalone and I will definitely be going back to read book 1.

Hailey Spencer returns to her hometown to help her mother after a stroke. It is a chance for her young son, AJ to spend time with his grandpa

We only see what others allow us to see. The philosophy of humanity seems to be less vulnerability more masquerade. With Chase, Ryder lifts off the blinders and exposes the emotional cavity to some healing light. Coming Home to the Cowboy is the journey Hailey and Chase. From long time friends, to secret lovers and second chance romance. Along the way each learns about life, love, loss and redemption, while hopelessly falling in love. These characters dig deep into a heart and take up residence ...more

What a great read this proved to be, I really enjoyed it with its great characters, plenty of drama and trauma as well as a heartwarming second chance romance.

Redemption Ranch is where Chase Summers went to live as a teenager, after years of being passed around from one foster family to another. It was there he found stability and love, a purpose in his life which was encouraged and supported as well as a family, even if not by blood. He still struggles to let anyone near him, to lo

This is the second book in the Redemption Ranch Series and is another fantastic read. We met Chase in the first book and I really liked him so was glad he got his own story I could relate to Chase he is all grown and made a name for himself but deep down he still feels like that lost foster kid who is not worth anything that is until he meets Hailey and her son I loved watching these three together this was a super read and I really enjoyed it

A quick and cute read without much angst. Chase was a bit of a knucklehead that was needing a good smack to the back of his head but his heart was in the right place.

When a child is bounced around from one foster home to another, they learn not to get attached. If they do, they know it will just get taken away from them. Chase had learned that lesson well but Douglas Rawlings snuck in under his guard. The ranch was the only place he considered home. Bull riding is the only thing that Chase thought he was good for so when they needed money to keep the ranch running after Douglas passed away, that’s what Chase did. Until the last bull. Now he’s on the ranch tr ...more

3.5 stars.
This was a pretty enjoyable read, with a good pace, a cocky, yet troubled hero in urgent need of redemption, a cute six-year-old boy and a fictional world that kept me invested until the end.
Chase, a bull rider recovering from injuries is apparently a super-confident man, yet he’s going through an identity crisis, has self worth issues and hides a lot of hurt deep down inside.
Chase has aspects that are problematic for me

This pair absolutely broke my heart. They didn’t take me to quite the same place of deep angst as Tara and West, and for that I’m a little grateful. Chase has never found a place where he “sticks”. A lifetime in the foster system being bounced from placement to placement meant he never really had someplace to call home. Until Redemption Ranch. The still-looming threat of their unpaid bills has Chase doing everything in his power to earn money to make sure they keep the ranch. Hailey lost her hus ...more

Chase did not have a happy childhood until he ended up on Redemption Ranch and found a home and family. He has gone on and enjoyed a successful career as a bull rider, but a serious injury has him back on the ranch to heal.

Hailey finds herself a widow and single mother. She is determined to be independent and give her son the type of life that he deserves not one governed by rules so she accepts a job working in accounting at the ranch.

Chase and Hailey always had a special place in their hearts

Chase, a professional bull rider, is back home in Montana recovering from a bull riding injury. Hailey has also returned home to Montana to raise her son. Hailey's husband Adam, who was also Chase's best friend, was killed in a bull riding accident leaving Hailey a single mom. This story deals with loss, love and you'll be crying one minute and laughing the next. Characters that are so easy to fall in love with and a story line that flows really well.

Nothing like a six-year old boy to bring life and action to a ranch. I loved the little guy. This is a great read anytime, especially when staying home with this Covid-19 virus outbreak. The story is exciting and eventful. It is an adult read with rodeo riders, bronco accidents and changed lives. The brothers had a ranch to run, women to love and hearts to break. Then, it caught up with them as they fall in love, nearly give up their man-card, and, make decisions that bring new life to the ranch ...more

This is the 2nd book in the Redemption Ranch series. This can be read as a stand alone.
This is Chase (bull rider) and Hailey (single mum, looking after her sick mother) Chase returns to the ranch to recuperate after being injured in the bull ring. Hailey takes a job with Tara at the ranch. Chase and Haileys deceased husband Adam were best friends. Can Hailey come to terms with her feelings for Chase and overcome her fears?

Thoroughly enjoy her style of writing. Loved the storyline. Had round characters. Easy to imagine the characters as you read through. Although the romance wasn't as tumultuous as most was still a sweet story. Did enjoy Chase's path to adulthood, late in coming though it was. Hailey was forced to grow up sooner because of her pregnancy. Always love the family behind the main characters. Hailey's father was very interesting. Probably would have liked a little more info on him and his ma

Sweet romance

A sweet and steamy romance with compelling characters and an engaging premise set in a picturesque community. A few times it seemed like there were tiny plot holes, but still really good.

This love story involves both characters coming home to reignite a long forgotten past. Which it had been longer, I was not ready for this book to end.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with Chase and Hailey their story was emotional. Chase grew up in foster then sent sent out to a ranch, he started bull riding then he hurt himself, so going home to the ranch to recoup then it was like a yo-yo of emotions between Chase want Hailey.

This is beautiful story focused on love and a second chance.

It is the type of story that clutches you at once and does not release you until you get to the end - then you find yourself pining over the fact that the book has ended.

I loved how the relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways they never expected.

I received a copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

It was so easy to slip back into the world of the Redemption Ranch series with Chase and Hailey in COMING HOME TO THE COWBOY.

Being moved around within the foster care system had left Chase with the belief that everyone eventually leaves or tosses you out – until he found security and love with his foster father and his daughter, as well as the other young men who would become like brothers. But old habits die hard and Chase has yet to believe that anyone would stay wi

This is the first book I've read by Megan Ryder and after finishing I can't wait to read more. I definitely want to go back and read Tara and West's story, as they play an integral part in Chase and Hailey's world. The author gives enough backstory that this book can be read as a standalone, but now I want more of these characters. Ms. Ryder does an excellent job developing her characters and building layers for the reader to pull back to expose those deep seated pains that burden the couple. Th ...more

I was given an Arc in exchange for an honest review of this book. This is the second book in the Redemption Ranch series. I did not read the first book but the author did a great job so I never felt lost. This book is the story of Chase and Hailey, Chase had been a foster kid who was adopted along with two other boys, West and Ty by Douglas Rawlings. When Douglas died, the 3 along with his daughter Tara inherited the ranch jointly. Chase is a champion bull rider who goes from rodeo to rodeo to w ...more

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy (I absolutely ADORED this!)

I couldn't read this one fast enough but at the same time, I had to re-read certain parts. I was completely enchanted with Chase and Hailey. Chase, is a former foster child, who inherited one quarter of a ranch that became Redemption Ranch. He shares ownership with his two other foster "brothers" and the former owner's daughter. He is a bull rider and would send money home to help with the expense

Bull riders are a special breed in the rodeo world. Many call them crazy for wanting to sit on the back of an animal who weighs on average 1,500 pounds. An animal who has very sharp horns and is bred to want to buck, twist and throw off anything placed on its back.

Bull riders only have to stay on the back of these very talented animals for 8 seconds. But oh what a ride they have trying to make it to those 8 seconds. And their injury rate for bull riders tends to be a bit higher than the average

Chase Summers is a very likeable but troubled individual. His childhood was spent being tossed from one foster home to another until he was rescued by
foster father and mentor Douglas Rawlins. When Douglas died he left his Redemption Ranch to be shared equally between his daughter Tara, Chase and two other foster children Wes and Ty who became closer to Chase than blood brothers.
Chase always felt that he din't belong at the ranch because he didn't feel that he could contribute to the running of

Hailey and Chase’s love story in Coming Home to the Cowboy by Megan Ryder, book two in her Redemption Ranch series, reminds us that families can be created by those not related by blood. Chase was a foster child with a troubled life, until he found a family while living on Redemption Ranch with his foster dad. Now he spends time on the rodeo circuit, sending home his winnings to help the ranch succeed. Chase is still a loner and keeps people, especially women, from getting too close. Hailey is a ...more
