This is one heck of an action packed read. Katrina is a fighting shifter cougar, beta to a pard and one of the few female to hold this position mind you. She is dedicated to her Alpha and pard. She is always looking for a fight, and figures she'll never find her mate.

Aeron and Alak are twins from the Fae world, on the dark side. They protect their Goddess with all they possess and have long given up finding a mate. Yup they are in it together - even love.

Sparks fly when Aeron & Alak try to protect Katrina - who do they think they are!!

Fun rollercoaster ride with these three...authors and characters.

Oh boy!! These three authors sure know how to write a good story. I loved this one with a strong female lead and her two mates who will do anything to love and protect her. All sorts of things happen and they really have to work for their love. I think Katrina , Aeron and Alak are my favorites out of this series!! Loved it!

lucky me I have been here since day one! And I have to say this is a first for me where all the characters were strong independent dominant... so you have Kat a cougar shifter who is beta to her new bigger pack she is not week In Anyway she is strong quick and no hold bars.. you cross her and will be walking away missing parts well if your lucky to walk away, but Kat is also destined to be mate to two twin dark fay warriors Aeron and Alak who are also very dominant and take no prisoners kind of guys... they know Kat is meant to be there’s and will make sure she see it .their mighty dragon lol you will get that when you read the story...
this story was built around them because I cannot picture any other characters that you get to know go and do what they have to do these are the only characters I can see that can fight this fight this time around... they are strong and they never give up and when those three are together nothing can stop them...
things blow up in and out of bed *wink* the passion between them between the sheets.... and the power between them in war are nothing to laugh at but to be in awww... but with that being said they did make me chuckle here and there and giggle just being them and loved Kat’s sarcasm!

Elena, Sarah, and Maia always create stories that pack a punch, but this one actually started off with a punch thrown. From the get-go, they demonstrated the strength of Katrina. Throughout the story, Kat’s skill on the battlefield was never lacking. She never doubted her abilities. The only time she questioned herself was in the love department. Luckily for her, she found TWO men who showed her love, fought by her side, and didn’t treat her as a lesser being. WOMEN, shifter or normal, are strong. Elena, Sarah, and Maia allowed our strength to shine.

These three authors also developed male counterparts who were just as fierce as their lady love (Kat) but also had a soft, romantic side as well. Whether you are a man or woman, sometimes all you want is love and acceptance. They each found that — together.

In between the exceptionally written love scenes, readers will take the journey to the Shadow Realm. We will meet grotesque monsters who will make your skin crawl as you read about their decomposing bodies.

I truly believe everyone will fall in love with Kat and her two magical mates (Alak and Aeron). Readers will also love the comedic moments woven in the plot.


My favorite scenes:

Alak and Aeron saving Lady Corrine from the beastly clutches of the Dy-son. (In case you might not know, that’s a vacuum cleaner.)

The men’s reaction to witness a mechanical bird (airplane) take flight.


Humor, passion, fight scenes, shifters, and more made this a magically, memorable read!

My favorite beta goes from one fierce kitty for her Alphas, to a dragon for her mate.

Now we have a Goddess to defeat. Wolves, Light and Dark Fae, Bears and who knows what else will come together with the help of the other Goddesses and defeat evil.

The paranormals will become one happy family....sort of.

Fighting Faete is the fifth book in the Beyond The Veil series, and this series shows no signs of slacking. Each story is wonderful as a standalone, but together, they are brilliant. Kat is the Beta, and as such she knows very few men that are more dominant than her, and even less that she would like to mate with. She pits herself against bigger, tougher opponents, just to see if she will find someone more dominant. What she doesn't know is she already has her mates, and they are JUST as dominant. Kat needs to figure out how to have a relationship WITH them, and they need to figure out how to deal with someone as strong and sassy as Kat is.

This story is a welcome addition to the series. I've wanted Kat's story ever since she ran from Aeron and Alak. Before they get together is laugh-out-loud funny, but once they get together, the sparks fly even more. Well written, and with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, Fighting Faete is an action-packed story, with highs and lows and surprises. The pacing is smooth, with no jarring at any time. A great addition to the series, and highly recommended by me.

I loved the tough cougar shifter Katrina! She is not taking anyone’s crap. She fights for those she loves. It makes for an instant favorite character for me. Aeron and Alak are fae twins and very handsome. Add in some magic, shifters, action and sex, you’ve got yourself Fighting Faete.
