Pride

Rate this book
There were three things Hunter Sinclair cared about: his club, his Harley and his family.

Being the poster boy for the Atlanta Angels didn’t last long and soon Hunter was forced to flee to Florida with a shattered family and broken dreams.

On the outside Savannah Simmons has it all: good grades, the perfect family and amazing friends, but appearances can be deceptive. Beneath the surface, things are far from perfect.

She was everything he craved but he knew she could never be his for fear that his past would destroy her.

Could Hunter swallow his pride and admit how much he wanted her or would the repercussions from his past tear them apart?

"When she looked up at me with her doe eyes, part of me fell under her spell and I knew I wanted this pretty girl."

Hunter Sinclair is 19 and has a dangerous past. He's trying to make a new life but has no business getting involved with an innocent like Savannah Simmons. However, the moment he sees her, there's no denying the powerful attraction he feels for her - nor the protectiveness he feels when she's in trouble.

"I'm your ending and you are mine, so don't forget about me. I'm yours."

Savannah just needs to get through the next few weeks of summer and then she's off to college. She can't shake off her aggressive ex and is grateful, impressed and not a little wary when Hunter comes to her rescue. He's got bad boy written all over him, and anyone can see that he has a shady past. But, with her, he's gentle and protective. It's a shame that her friends and family are against her getting involved with him.

This was a quick, sexy read - and pretty much an insta-lust/insta-love read. Hunter has a good heart, in spite of where he's come from. He's got a lot on his plate to deal with and knows what he should and shouldn't do, but his heart only wants one thing. Sav pretty much walks her own path and is just counting down the days until she leaves town. I enjoyed her rebellious streak. These two really care for one another, even though their immediate future makes it impossible to be together, but I I really loved Hunter's gesture at the end.

My first and certainly not my last read from this author.

Hunter is trying to leave his past behind him. When he meets Savannah he believes she is too good for him but he can’t resist.

These are two lovely characters that I liked straight away.

A lovely story that I couldn’t resist but read in one sitting. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Trying to leave your past behind can be hard. Especially when some people around you don't think you can change.

But can meeting the right person change all that. Can you leave behind all that you have known. Or will your past catch up with you putting those you come to love in danger?

A brilliant story and one that Lavinia would be so proud of. I cant wait to read more from this author and I hope that she expands on this story at a later date.
