What a great story that fosters growth and improvement, resiliency and sportsmanship for readers of all ages. I love the chants throughout the story and the concept of choosing kindness even during times where we may let our anger take control of a situation. Strength can definitely be found by showing compassion, patience and understanding. Definitely a meaningful lesson, all readers can learn.

Hockey, two friends and a loving family.... the perfect mix for a great story. A Buck and a Puck is a delightful book for young readers showing how powerful kindness can be. What I appreciated most about this book is just how aspirational it is for my five year old girl. Love the depiction of sensitive and strong girls on the ice learning about the friendship and positive sportsmanship. A great addition to every child's home library collection! ...more

A big thank you to the author for sending this book. It caught my eye because my Grandson plays hockey. A cute story with a message for children. I plan to share with children.
