My favorite book to read when I am a grouch.

This was my first introduction to Sesame Street and I’m intrigued! Oscar is a funny little guy 🗑️

[Andrés]

Oscar is a tough character to profile because he is...grouchy. So, things like "yucky food!" and "go away" may be repeated refrains by the reader after reading this book. But alas, we learn something from Oscar's grouchiness. And maybe we also learn what a stinkweed is.

An intro to the classic character. Oscar is a monster even those of us who haven't watched Sesame in decades will recognize.

I feel this book captures Oscar's personality perfectly and adds a few surprises for those who might not know him. A must read.

[Robin Obara]

Oscar is a more compelling character than some of the other Sesame Street friends.

This book series is so sweet! A dear friend bought us the elmo book and somehow we have ALL of them now. Between Elmo and the Count, we read those two easily 100 times each and then needed to have a few other books in the rotation.

The Oscar the grouch book does a great job of allowing the reader to express a different emotion than the rest of the series does! And he still communicates how even when he is grouchy, he still loves his friends. 10/10.
