This is one YA mystery you do not want to miss out on!!

Alyssa is the ultimate party girl, that struggles to remain popular after the horrific event that Alyssa went through at the end of the summer party her best friend had. It left Alyssa partially blind but gave her the strength to get them back. Revenge, after all, is a dish that's best served cold.

All Conan Dwight had to do was notice her for her, but that's not what just happened. It's when he does notice her where things spiral out of con

Alyssa Darlington is a popular and sassy, party girl, who wished she never attended her best friend's end of summer bash. Actually, she wished she didn't do a lot that night, the night that changed her life forever.

I'm more of a suspense and thriller reader, with an occasional YA sprinkled in, and I love that I got all three in Through Her Eyes. Figuring out who was responsible for Alyssa's fate kept me on edge. I had a few people pegged, but turned out I had it all wrong.

I'd recommend this re

Through Her Eyes starts out with our main character, Alyssa, being at a party. She is really drunk and her best friend points out quite a few times she's not acting like herself. Alyssa ends up drunk and alone in a garage where she is assaulted and barely survives.

When she wakes up in the hospital, Alyssa learns that her vision is almost gone. She can see shadows and that's it. Once she learns this, she's set on revenge. Who did this to her and why? After that horiffic night she needs a

Firstly, want to say a thank you to Sophie Fahy for allowing me the privilege to read a copy of her novel. This book is a YA contemporary mystery. It delivered all the aspects from each of the genres throughout the book. Her novel is released on 28th August! Go check it out 😊
Absolutely loved this book! It had so much drama, suspense and mystery. It starts of as a YA novel as the main character Alyssa is shown at her best friend’s summer party. The plot really gets going straight away which I r

I was gripped by this story, the mystery and the excellent writing. ‘Through Her Eyes’ is a YA mystery that is hard to put down.
Just before her senior year in high school, Alyssa Darlington had her whole life ahead of her. A savage attack at a party leaves her partially blind and obsessed with finding her attacker. The twists and turns of the story keep the reader guessing along with Alyssa, with an ending that leaves you in shock. I loved it. I loved that I couldn’t figure out who the attacker

Yesterday I finished reading this debut novel by Sophie Fahy and I must say that I really enjoyed it.
This book is a contemporary YA mystery as a genre. It really was a real mystery till the end.
This book starts as most college books, with a party of course. The main character Alyssa Darlington is on that party and she is being restless and drunk, a real party girl. Unfortunately she was brutally attacked on that party and after that everyone is a suspect.

At a drunken party, Alyssa Darlington is attacked and left for dead. As resulting blindness gradually claims her sight, she sets about trying to discover who could hate her that much.
Through Her Eyes twists and turns, with shocking revelations leaving her, and us, switching back and forth as to the identity of her attacker, until one final twist blows the reader out of the water.
Whilst it is a detective story, of sorts, the narrative felt more concerned with the effects of the trauma on Alyssa,

Through her eyes is an impressive debut novel. Sophie's writing transported me back to high school (for better or worse lol) Writing a mystery or a thriller where your reader doesn't guess the plot twist is no easy task. A few well placed red herrings kept me guessing until the very end. This ending is not for everyone but I think that fans of Behind her eyes by Sarah Pinborough will really appreciate how Sophie tied the story up. This is an excellent YA thriller that I would recommend to fans o ...more

Thank you Sophie Fahy for the advanced copy!!

I love how the story is told literally through Alyssa’s eyes which makes you really connect with the character and I LOVE when I can connect with characters. The characters are lovable, there’s some romance, and it’s such a page turner. You really want to know if Alyssa gets her answers! And can I say that ending had me shook! It was not expected at all but was perfect!

This was an amazing debut book and look forward to reading more of her work in the

Fast-paced, unpredictable, and with an ending that’s sure to shock you, Through Her Eyes was the compelling and harrowing journey of a young girl trying to make sense of a brutal attack that was carried out against her at a friend’s party. In the aftermath of her assault, Alyssa is left partially blind. Unable to see clearly, she sets out to discover who is at fault and to exact revenge. But all is not as it appears.

Excellently conceived, fans of mystery and intrigue in a contemporary YA setting

A good whodunit thriller in the realm of YA mystery. Alyssa Darlington is attacked at a party and must find her attacker while also navigating high school, her dysfunctional family, and the consequences of the brutal act. The author keeps you guessing as to who is to blame and what is really going on with the characters. An entertaining read.

Reading the blurb of this book I wasn’t sure what my experience of reading it would be like. I don’t tend to read a lot of YA contemporary, particularly those with a lot of party-centred drama.

I have never really related to party-girl characters in the past, probably because I was more the stay at home and read a book type of teen myself (You’d never have guessed right? Haha!).

However, the mystery element of Through Her Eyes intrigued me. It’s what drew me to this book. If you’ve been following

THROUGH HER EYES is like Gossip Girl meets Thirteen Reasons. Thirteen Reasons because of the thought provoking content, the haunting mystery and the emotional gut punch it delivers. Gossip Girl because just like you daydream about Chuck and Blair, I found myself thinking about Alyssa when I was meant to be working! You’ll find yourself doing it too, trying to work out the mystery.

Alyssa starts her story at a party, drunk and out of it. She experiences a horrific assault and barely survives. When

Alyssa Darlington was not the type of girl to get absolutely smashed, strip, and dance on tables at parties, and, yet, that's exactly what happened. She just wanted dreamy Conan Dwight to notice her, but then everything began to spiral out of control. Drinks began to blend together and the world was a blur. And it was at this point that Alyssa was brutally attacked, left to die until somebody could find her. Thus begins Through Her Eyes by Sophie Fahy.

Through Her Eyes follows Alyssa, a 17 year old, English ‘it girl’ living in America. From the start Alyssa is a character that commands your attention, and also demands it. She is living a life at the top of the social ladder but you immediately wonder how much she believes she can, or should, stay there. On the outside she has it all but underneath her perfect world runs an undercurrent of secrets and betrayals.

The story has received many glowing reviews and has been aligned with the star-studd

I received an ARC copy of this book. The mystery that is weaved throughout this novel, kept me on the literal edge of my seat. Fahy does such a fantastic job of keeping you guessing through the entire story and hits you with an unforgettable ending!

Alyssa is enjoying herself (a bit too much), at an end of the summer party, when she is brutally attacked. The accident causes her to lose part of her eyesight along with the memory of what happened. This story is told from Alyssa's point of view and

Alyssa's story had me to the verge of excitement. It begins with an 'almost' typical teenage party, where alcohol, music, and drugs reign, being Alyssa an attractive, fierce, and loved-by-all young lady. But something goes really wrong when someone introduces drugs into the drinks and she's attacked by someone anonymous.
After that, Alyssa's life turns upside down when she discovers that she'll be blind for life. Her misfortune starts with shades of grey that puts her in a puzzler life where al

Think Pretty Little Liars but with a much better ending.
This novel follows the devastating impact one wild party has for seventeen year old, Alyssa - a British born beauty growing up in America. Even though she’s a bitchy, ‘pretty-girl’, selfish teenager, I immediately connected with her as the main character. (This probably says more about me than I care for...)
I wanted to find out who attacked her and was equally as desperate for Alyssa to get her revenge.
Because you’re reading this story “th

THROUGH HER EYES is a debut novel by a debut author, @authorfahy. This novel, published by Blossom Spring Publishing, offered a complex premise with a sassy protagonist as a YA novel with edge. As I read it, I found myself thinking about the edginess of Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher mixed with whodunit quality of a suspenseful mystery. Fahy keeps us guessing all the way to the end and then hits us big time with a whopper of an ending.

Alyssa’s character is the norm for almost every 17 year old girl. She and her best friend like to go to parties and get drunk , she has a crush on the most popular guy in school, and is her mission to stay on the high school social ladder. But all of that changes after she encounters a serious attack that leaves her partially blind. The plot of the story evolves as Alyssa tries to remember who was her attacker whilst balancing her new life. I must say, the writing was brilliant, I loved

I was given the opportunity to review this novel by the author, herself. Not only is this novel extremely good, but the author is the sweetest as well!

Alyssa, a high school girl, is attending her best friends party when things get a little out of control. Inebriated and stumbling, Alyssa is attacked in Noelle’s (her best friends) garage. Hours later she is found, her hair a mass of blood, and struggling to stay conscience. After spending a few days in the hospital, she is told that she is blind

Disclaimer: Sophie gave me an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Sophie!

This is an impressive debut novel.

For starters, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book. I though the romance was too fast, and some things were a little unbelievable. However, the last chapter was so sad and definitely shook me to my core. Writing a mystery isn’t easy, but the red herrings kept me from guessing the true culprit until the end. I like that the author set it up in suc

I was so lucky to receive an ARC of this book after waiting for months for it to be released and it was well worth the wait.

This book begins with our main character Alyssa Darlington getting drunk at a party. She behaves totally out of character and is shamed by her best friend for her behaviour. She ends up alone and drunk in the garage where she is horrifically assaulted. The rest of this story follows Alyssa after the incident and her plot to discover what really happened and who did this to

Within the first couple of chapters Fahy is already tugging on my heartstrings. To see how masterfully she plays with emotions so soon in her debut novel is truly a delight to read. Right from the beginning Alyssa is a character who is hard to like yet intriguing despite the prickly personality. Fahy still is able to craft a connection to Alyssa that makes it possible to empathize for her, no matter how tough a pill she is to swallow at some times.

The twists and turns are nonstop. At first, you

This story really is ‘through her eyes’ – the eyes of Alyssa Darlington, a seventeen-year-old party girl from Valley View High School, in Michigan. We’ve all had that one booze-ridden night in our teens we’d prefer to forget, but Alyssa can’t forget the night of the party, the night the unthinkable happened and she lost so much, including her sight.
The first-person narrative is engrossing, taking you on the journey of the girl who is desperately seeking answers whilst her sight is rapidly fading

I'll be honest here, I loved how the story was narrated. Usually when it comes to mysteries they all go the hardcore way; opening up old cases, going out on your own to find the culprit, bending laws to suit one's taste etc etc, but here Alyssa stays low-key and the pace at which the story moves forward is perfect. There isn't pure determination here, there's confusion, there's love, shock, anger, hurt and a feeling of being lost that really makes you want to be Alyssa. Truthfully, I've tried my ...more

Okay. First things first, I will be quite honest. I bought and read this book to support a sweet fellow writer; I’m glad I did. Sophie Fahy’s debut novel has easily cozied itself into my top 10 favourite books. Warning!!! Do not open this book if you're stuck for time!! You cannot put it down! The author sets the scene and the characters extremely well in the first chapter. It's gripping and just when you think you have got it all figured out the plot twists. It is an eye opener to readers and can show the reality of mental health.

When I first started reading the character description I thought it would be a typical teen high school drama with Alyssia being in the "it" crowd. But is far from it. The en
