An excellent eyewitness account of the Battle of Khe Sanh on April 22, 1967. The author, Marine PFC Robert "Bobby" Maras was a nineteen year old M60 machine gunner with the Weapons Platoon, Golf Company, 3rd Marines who survived the North Vietnamese onslaught at Khe Sanh and told how it was and the brutality of war.
