As a former high school English educator and GATE program coordinator, I wish I had had this helpful book to help me better understand the needs of gifted students and employ effective teaching strategies. I highly recommend Caruana's book, which is a quick read full of practical suggestions teachers can quickly put into practice. As the mother of four gifted children, I also recommend this for parents--to help them understand their children's intellectual needs and capacities and to give them g ...more
